Ghost Unit, Book ThreeEven her walk made him swallow. The stroll of a huntress — a little arrogant, a lot dangerous. Damn, he loved danger. He'd never seen menace so perfectly packaged in a woman. Wanting her was intoxicatingly forbidden and totally pagan.Jas watched the beast try to look harmless as he entered her world. Testosterone-enhanced confidence rolling off him spoke of a deadly animal. He was muscle and guile below the face of a naughty angel. Ohhh baby, Jas wanted to play with that beast. Too bad they wouldn't have time.It would have been Blaster's pleasure to take care of whatever threatened her, but earning her trust required respecting her right to combat. What drove him crazy was she wouldn't let him be the shield at her back as she did it.Reader This is an action novel with instances of violence that may not be for the faint of heart.
Gail Faulkner (forever 38) was born in a frustrated reader's mind. She adores men who know what they want and intend to get it.
One thing she is sure of is, Erotic is the new Sexy and that is excellent news. Slipping on a little black dress is fun, having it ripped off, even better. Okay, maybe we can get him to just take it off but that might be tricky.
Most of all, she loves sharing her daydreams with anyone who will read them.
I read this before book 2 because I already had this. I really liked the strong heroine who can hold her own next to any of the Ghost Unit, and I liked that Blaster recognised this and respected her abilities, allowing her to make the choices which she felt were right for her. There are some funny moments and I liked the banter between the couple, as well as with Jackson, another of the Ghost Unit.
Gail Faulkner has penned an excellent story with intelligent and strong characters along with an intense plot that will keep you hanging on the edge of you seat. I loved the witty dialogue and chemistry between Blaster and Jas. They battled the bad guys in the field and battled each other in bed with a scorching romance that will leave you fanning the flames of your own desires. You’ll need plenty of cool water nearby as you read this one. It’s a red-hot read that’s sure to please. The only down side to it is when you realize this story has ended and you have to wait for the next one. This is a definite keeper and re-reader to add to my bookshelf with my other novels by Gail Faulkner. Excellent read!
I LOVED this book. Easily one of my favorites. Scorching sex, kick-ass heroine, blond, adorable hero- what's not to like? I especially loved how much respect the big bad alpha-guy showed the heroine... he wasn't macho or condescending, he was just honest and fair. Great book.
