If your "Rah rah America" needs a good curb stomping, this book will do it. Chomsky attempts to hold a mirror to the realpolitik of U.S. foreign policy and it isn't pretty.

I would highly recommend it if you like political discussion, but take it with a grain of salt. I do get the feeling Chomsky "cherry picks" some of the facts, behind events discussed, to build his narratives, but I don't know how you would approach a project like this without doing that. As it is, he already goes into the weeds on some of the topics.

At times unnecessarily complicated language that can come off as arogance… other than that a torrough and informative piece.
