I was enthralled by the twists and turns between the fierceness of Rayne’s character and the softness of her heart; it was comforting to feel her will to do whatever it took to save those she loved and her innate abilities to overpower those who confronted her. Her constant battle between the right thing to do and the easy one is confounding.
Liam—sensible, smart, and sometimes worrisome—englobes a realistic character who is always willing to help despite the fear that may cloak his heart. He adds balance to his relationship with Rayne and awakens empathy in us, the readers. Last but not least, her loyal companions and masters of the lore—Hank and Elli—lift the story with their sincerity and trust.
A story highly driven by human relationships, love—or lack thereof—and trust, exploits the thrill of supernatural creatures facing the real world and battling to stay in it. Stephanie Colbert leaves us on the edge of our seat, waiting for the next adventures that challenge Rayne’s heart and strength.

March 31, 2022Finally a book with the right mix of realism and supernatural details along with mystery and intrigue. Great mix of whit and humor along with excitement and human compassion. Once I started reading, I could not stop. Highly recommend this smartly written jewel.

If you love kickass wisecracking heroines, you'll love Rayne Storm. She fights evil with a special set of supernatural abilities and her heart is in the right place.
The book is full of fast-paced action, gut-wrenching suspense and heartache in the best possible way.
I recommend this book to all readers who want their stories to be packed with quality writing. When you get to the last page of this rollercoaster ride from hell, you'll want more.
