It is just a brief history of Einsteins life. A very quick read. It has some good pictures, but the book is too small to cover the life of such an incredible man. It does not do justice to his life. It too small to accommodate anything substantial. This book can be like a quick start to know about him, but surely it is not complete. It can a book for kids to begin with, as the English is easy, there are a lot of pictures and it is small enough so they might not feel like it is a huge task. I will surely not recommend it for adults.

Buku ini pertama kali saya baca sekitar kelas V SD (dipinjam Abang saya yang lebih tua tujuh tahun dari perpustakaan SMA-nya) dan saya baca dengan penuh kekaguman. Buat ukuran bocah, ini buku "high level" buat saya karena hampir semuanya berupa tulisan; gambarnya benar-benar penunjang semacam grafik bukan berupa komik sebangsa Why dan sejenisnya.

This book has highlighted most of Albert Einstein’s scientific as well as social contributions chronologically with his quotes on separate column. Even though Einstein as I believe is a man of proportion, the very part that he believed men have to accept the practical and political responsibility for their discoveries put me off track. One can only strive to create awareness or seek to minimise the negative impact of his creation. I understand what he might be implying, but structures provided by rules and regulations offer safe haven compared to chaos. But based on the fixedness of rules, certain restriction can hinder creativity and individuality as well. Overall a great read for those who want to grasp Einstein’s ideas and perspective. I would recommend this book to higher level school children who are interested to know more about Einstein as a person along with his creation.

Nice little book on Einstein covering his life and few scientific ideas in layman terms. Good introduction book on Einstein. I had read it some 20 years back and read it again now in 2022.

Since there is not (yet) as much demand for Spanish titles as for English ones, Spanish titles are still much more difficult to find and expensive to buy. Therefore, even though I fail to understand why this book needs to be bilingual, I was happy to find anything in Spanish...

And that is where the happiness ended.

Here are just a FEW of the problems with the title:

1. Grammatical errors in both languages.
Normally I put examples here, but I am not going to waste my time. You will see them.

2. Formatting errors in both languages.
As just one example, on page 14, the Spanish sentence leaves off words. "Esta foto fue sacada en 1883, cuando Einstein tenía "
Tenía qué?!

3. The book is rather non-linear.
It skips around in time, which is confusing to most readers (regardless of age). My suggestion would be to write in a linear fashion and then have a section near the end that talks about how Einstein's discoveries are applied in modern times.

4. Confusing and controversial
Page 52--Let me just say that children's books should be as carefully written as adult texts--perhaps even more so since the simplicity of the language constructions requires exactness. Choose each word and picture carefully in order to avoid confusion.

Overall, this is not a book I would recommend.

The year was 2005, celebrated as "The World Year of Physics" as it was the 100th year anniversary of Special Theory of Relativity.
Found this book in my school library. First book I ever read.
Back then, we weren't allowed to issue books. Requested the librarian and she allowed me to issue this book.
I remember reading lines about how astonished everyone were to assimilate the concept of Relativity at that time. I mean seriously, how can lines like, "If Einstein's theory was right then the contemporary physics was wrong", NOT baffle you. And what people still find hard to grasp, he did it all in his imagination.
Tell a 14-year-old that "time dilation" is real and he will spent his life asking questions and looking for answers.
One book can indeed change a life.

Read for a chemistry research report. Really helpful and explained a lot more about Einstein's life than what I could find from biographical websites. Thank you for making my paper-writing life easier!
