Donni can't see how she and her sister Trisha can ever see eye to eye, since Donni is the immature, imperfect one while Trisha is the perfect honor role student who never does anything wrong.
Nancy Springer has passed the fifty-book milestone, having written that many novels for adults, young adults and children, in genres including mythic fantasy, contemporary fiction, magical realism, horror, and mystery -- although she did not realize she wrote mystery until she won the Edgar Allan Poe Award from the Mystery Writers of America two years in succession. DARK LIE, recently released from NAL, is her first venture into mass-market psychological suspense. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Nancy Springer moved with her family to Gettysburg, of Civil War fame, when she was thirteen. She spent the next forty-six years in Pennsylvania, raising two children (Jonathan, now 38, and Nora, 34), writing, horseback riding, fishing, and birdwatching. In 2007 she surprised her friends and herself by moving with her second husband to an isolated area of the Florida panhandle, where the birdwatching is spectacular and where, when fishing, she occasionally catches an alligator.
Separate Sisters is a book about a girl named Donni and her sister Trisha. In the book they are separated and Donni lives with her dad while Trisha lives with her mom. I think they were separated because when the parents got divorced, they each wanted one of their daughters to live with them. Trisha is a perfect girl with her mom and Donni is a bad girl that is with her dad and he doesn't care about anything. Donni and Trisha get in a big fight! Readers think they got in a fight because Donni ripped up Trisha's journal. Donni's mom has to home school her because she is about to get expelled. I think she was about to get expelled because she got suspended 3 times. Thankfully, Donni makes up with her principal, her teacher, and Trisha. In conclusion her and Trisha become friends.
