This is the story of Mr. Behrendt Fiskit, a Norwegian immigrant who, along with his family, landed in Baltimore in 1939 and set down roots in “Pigtown,” a blue-collar neighborhood geographically described as Southwest Baltimore.
En route on his twenty-plus-year journey to manhood, Behrendt discovers one of the hard facts of life in America in the 1950 the rules are designed to protect the wealthy and powerful.
