No Good Deed

My name was Eden Moretti.

After being betrayed by those I’d trusted, my life spiraled out of control. I lost my innocence and dreams in one fell swoop.

Now, I'm a junkie dancer who will do just about anything to earn a buck or get my next fix. When you're living off the books to stay hidden on the fringes between Carlotti and Finelli territory, anything means...anything.

The mafia lords and their heirs own this city. They fiercely protect their turf along with anything else they lay claim to. Murder, mayhem, and money are the driving forces behind the ruthless Familes, and death comes swiftly to those who get in their way.

Tony, Vanni, Marco, and Santos are the heirs to the Carlotti Empire, one of the most prolific crime syndicates in NYC. And one of them was the catalyst for the wreckage my life had become.

Due to a budding war with another Family, our paths have crossed again. Except this time, I didn't have a chance to run. The Carlotti men I'd once trusted as boys took me, but to what end?

To save me? Keep me? Kill me?

The Carlotti heirs don't know what they just took on, but I'll enjoy showing them exactly what I'm capable of. That is, if I don’t wind up dead first.

No Good Deed is a full-length duet, written in several POV's. On my dark scale, it’s a dark gray. It’s a Dark reverse harem and mafia. Kudos to the authors for not using the name Luca, And not having their Organization heavily revolved around the Italian mafia. Actually, There was no mention of it. I still have high standards when it comes to my mafia reads.

No Good Deed is the first book I have read from both authors and I loved it. Read the trigger warning. The scenes are very explicit. This book is not for everyone and that is okay.

We meet, Eden, Tony, Santos, Giovanni, and Marco, and what a crew they all are. Eden is Santos's ex-girlfriend and has had a very hard time in life and resulted in drugs. My heart broke for her and I cringed a few times, All of them have been childhood friends with Eden and have a screwed view of a Certain event from the past. But not is all as it seems. The men are as hot as sin and some more broody than others.

I was captivated from page one and pulled an all-nighter to find out what would happen next. It’s an easy, fast read that is well written. I cried, yelled, and laughed. There is some dry humor in this book that I didn’t expect, and it was perfect. No Good Deed ends in a cliffhanger, which left me wanting more.

I'm so not in a reviewing mood; I'm just going to say that I'm incredibly disappointed that this book did not work out. I don't know why, but heroines who are either sex workers, strippers, or escorts are some of my favorite heroines to read about in fiction. I even like TV shows about drugs (Breaking Bad is a fave of mine). I guess the taboo element of it appeals to me. It's just important to me that it's depicted somewhat realistically.

So this didn't work out. Unfortunately, this was one of the trashiest books I've ever read. This may sound harsh, but it's simply accurate. My heart went out to the heroine, but it's like the authors went out of their way to make this the crudest story possible. With Skye Warren's Stripper series, she created a moody atmosphere and somehow made it dark, seductive, as well as sordid. This was just trashy and crude. And I'm sorry, but I found it ridiculous the guys were paying thousands of dollars for the heroine when the author made it a point to create the trashiest of the trashiest strip clubs ever. The strip club name is Cherry Baby, the heroine is described as a junkie (the boss is fine with them not just doing drugs on the premises, but being paid for their services with drugs), and she is described as wearing cheap lingerie. Sorry, but the clientele is not going to be spending thousands of dollars on her. The boss also happened to be fine with flagrant prostitution in his facility. Look, I find this kind of seedy underworld interesting, but the authors clearly didn't do any basic google research. Simply looking up interviews with strip club owners or strippers would have helped.

The sex scenes were gross. There was nothing titillating about them. They were just crude. I could sort of suspend disbelief for the reverse harem set-up amongst the guys, but the execution of the organized crime aspect was absurd and not realistic in the slightest.

The writing was decent and I somehow got to 80% of the book before dnfing, so there's that.
2.5 stars.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Multiple

Cliffhanger : Yes

Plot Summary :
Eden has never had an easy life. She found her solace in drugs until a few people from her past returns. The group that she used to call hers. Her childhood best friends. They want to save her and destroy her in all one go. A certain incident changed their life forever and now they are back to take back what was always theirs. Eden.

Tony , Santos , Giovanni and Marco are all ruthless and hard when it comes to business. That is until they stumble upon the one girl who can handle them all. Now it was up to them to break her and mould her into what they wanted. If only they realised that you can't break something that is already broken.

Overall Opinion :
I am all for reverse harem Romances and then the authors added mafia to it , let's just say I read this one in go. It was a second chance Romance with a kick-ass Heroine who didn't take any type of shit from the heroes and I absolutely loved this book for that alone!! It was written very well and it was really dark. A few scenes were graphic and can easily trigger anyone so be careful about that.

The storyline was good and the damn Cliffhanger nearly drove me crazy. I want the next book asap because I am totally hooked now!!! The author made me fall for a new world of characters and she better give me my next fix asap!!

As soon as I heard this mafia RH book was in, I jumped at the chance to read and review it. The FMC, Eden, was friends with the 4 guys when they were teenagers but a misunderstanding tore their friendship apart. Now, ten years later, she’s back in their lives after Tony, head of the Carlotti crime family, and his brother Vanni storm the strip club she’s working in. Eden, strung up on drugs and practically destitute, is forced to stay with them since she’s witness to whole incident at the club. The book itself goes fast and I appreciated that. I mean, there’s only so much when you’re stuck in a bedroom by yourself. Not even halfway thru it and I’m already devouring every word written by these two talented authors. You get sucked into their lives, their thoughts, their every emotions. What I needed more of is the thrust into the mafia lifestyle and the urge to not want out of it. I wanted more. Needed it. Itched for it. Craved for it. This book had Mafia aspect and alpha bad boys and an FMC who isn’t weakened by her situation, seemingly growing stronger as each day passes. I liked how she wasn’t your typical female badass. Not every badass female has to yield a weapon or know how to fight. My favorite female baddie is the one who rises up against the tide. Who fights to survive. Who can take 4 hardened mafia men and turn them on their heels. Oh, and I absolutely just loved Eden’s sass. She’s got snark. And I do love me some snark. The ending isn’t an epic cliffhanger, but it sets up pretty well for book 2 and leaves you with questions. So here I am...with questions, waiting for book 2.

A second chance, reverse harem, mafia love story. Eden, strong but ravaged by a hard life, finds herself back with Santos, and brothers Antonio, Marco, Vanni, from whom she ran from after an event, a proverbial misunderstanding that communication could have resolved.

The mafia backdrop and the fact that the story doesn’t shy away from Eden’s being a sex worker were great, different, and intriguing. I liked the character dynamics, the distinctions in personality. The heroes were uniquely portrayed. Unfortunately, the story dragged for me. Heavy with prose and slow pace my attention began to wander. Lots of merit to this story, especially the creativity of the character portrayals — she went there — but simply not the story for me.

This book was pretty stupid, if I'm being honest. Let's see, first of all. Eden was supposed to be dating Santos alone, therefore, the person who had the right to be angry that she walked away, was him. The other friends were just that, friends and just because they were in love with her at the time, I don't think it gave them the right to get so angry at her and attack her for the way she ended up, but they still did.

Second, the main conflict of why they broke up seemed to me to play out in a very stupid way. I'm not referring to the abuse Eden suffered, but the way they fell for Santos' dad's lies when they could have easily talked it out and worked it out. I understand they were teenagers, but seriously. It didn't cross Eden's mind to, I don't know, ask him what he meant by he already knew? it didn't occur to him to think he was talking about something else? why on earth do they make teenagers look like fools? The way the conflict played out was silly.

Third. The sexual scenes in this book were the most uncomfortable thing in the world to read. They all, but absolutely all happened under unpleasant circumstances. The first when she was doing her job as a prostitute, the second when Vanni practically molested her, the third with Marcos in the gym, then that scene in the bar with all of them. There was no romance in this book, which made no sense if it's an HR. They were very cringe-worthy scenes to read and not at all erotic, but very robotic.

Fourth. The way they degraded the main character throughout the book was just disgusting. Let's see, I know it's a dark romance (which are some of my favorite plots) but they usually come with redemption for the harem characters and here there was no such thing. How is it possible that after finding out the real reason Eden ran away, they weren't able to apologize to her. They weren't able to treat her better. And they want me to buy into that romance?

Fifth: drug addiction was a theme that could have been very helpful for the development of Eden's character, but here they threw it away. How is it possible that the idiot Marcos gave her cigarettes to smoke while she was still trying to recover? gave her alcohol? Not to mention that it's pretty hard for a person who was an addict for so long not to have a very painful and very long withdrawal. Eden only lasted about 3 weeks with symptomatology and after that it was pretty much nil. The authors lacked research in this part.

Sixth: Eden needs a psychologist. She was abused millions of times, before she had to disappear and after she disappeared. I just don't understand why the writers didn't make this more believable.

There was no character development, no plot, no relationships, no feelings. I felt them empty, flat, without any kind of emotion. They were all interchangeable with each other, you couldn't tell any of the love interests apart.

I expected more considering it's only two books and the worst thing is that they had a lot of material to cut from this story but unfortunately it fell short. Very disappointing.

If your looking for a light, clean cut romance then this book will most definitely not be for you. On the other hand if you like dark, dirty mafia men who are gruff, possessive and overtly sexual then trust me you are gonna love this book. I did.

Eden is not your typical FMC. To be honest when i started reading this book i struggled to find very little redeeming qualities from her. Shes heavily into drugs which she uses just to get by doing the job shes doing. Stripping with extras on the side. Only that puts her in a dangerous situation when she ends up being caught in the middle of a gang war. One which includes gang members that are known to her - Tony, Vanni, Marco & Santos. My, My, My did these men steam up my kindle. With one particular hot scenario in Eden's club. Blimey!!! Even though i was in two minds about liking Eden or not from the beginning by the end of the book when id found out all that shes been through i genuinely changed my mind and loved her. She grew on me. That ending though??? Just knockout!! This is one hell of a read and i cant wait for the next book now

Note: there are a metric crapload of potential triggers in this book. Drugs, rape, assault, etc, all very descriptive on the page. It doesn't necessarily "get better" either, as the climax is one trigger item after another. Forewarned is forearmed.
Note: big ol' cliffy ending. *tears hair out lol*

I couldn't put this book down. I normally cannot stomach stories as depraved as this, but I *had* to know Eden would get to a better place. She deserves it so much. Her past, and her present, and her potential lack of future, gripped me by the heart.

I wanted to hate the guys... but I couldn't, not really. Marco is adorable (and scary, but adorable) and the other three are jackholes, but Vanni and Santos redeem themselves pretty well. Tony is way too slow and my least favorite because he never really changes his beliefs, even after knowing all the facts. He's still an asshole to Eden. At least he mostly stops degrading her to her face... /eyeroll

I'm really looking forward to the next book. I desperately need a resolution to the last page!

I Give this Book a 4-4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.

Cliffhanger(?): This is Book 1 after all, so Yes :)
Relationship Type: RH> Reverse Harem, MFMMM
Heat: 4-4.5/5, Loved the heat!
Romance: 3.5/5
Drama: 4-4.5/5
Suspense: 4/5
Dark(?): 3/5, this book may be darker for others :)
Pacing: It has a little bit of a picked-up-pace BUT I didn’t mind it at all.

I want to acknowledge how captivating this book is >to me<: Eden is a Stripper & a Prostitute and there is also drug use in this book, and I appreciate the fact that it isn’t shied away from or softened for the reader like I usually encounter in a good amount of books I’ve read. It feels ‘day in the life-like..’ as soon as you open the book, and I as the reader, I’m able to zone right in and grasp the character.
I’m most definitely purchasing this, and can’t wait for the next book in this duology!

No Good Deed is a gritty, violent, engaging, and heartbreaking romance that I didn’t expect to like as much as I did. There are about 800,000 triggers in this book, including graphic violence and sexual assault. It was hard for even me to read, and I don’t really have triggers, so if you do, this is probably not the book for you.
No Good Deed is a second chance romance, and I enjoyed that we didn’t have to wait until the end of the book to find out “what went wrong the first time” In fact, that whole situation was handled pretty quickly, which I appreciated as a reader. While that was a plot point, there was still a lot more going on than just that. Even at the end of this book, there are quite a few unanswered questions.
The characters were all great. I enjoyed how flawed Eden was. It was easy to connect with her, especially after reading everything she’d been through and seeing she still had so much fight left in her. Liking Eden as much as I did make parts of this book harder to read. No Good Deed is a reverse harem, and the guys fit the typical RH mold. There's the charming one and the broody one etc. I liked all of the guys and especially liked how they protected Eden. I don’t want to get into any spoilers, but they seemed to realize pretty quickly she wasn’t the teenager that they knew. This is not a book about good people. All the characters are, for lack of a better word, “bad,” but these are the types of characters I love, flawed.
I cannot wait for the next book! Not just because of the cliffhanger but also because I just loved these characters so much and want more!

Ever read a book and you sit there sad wondering what else could possibly happen to the FMC. That’s how I felt while reading this book. Now don’t get me wrong that did not deter me from enjoying the book. It’s what lends to the book being good. It’s what helps you as a reader feel for the character and want to keep reading to see if things get better, if they get a happy ending.

Eden is really down on her luck, she’s doing things she would rather not be doing to make a living and support a habit that probably wouldn’t even be a habit if it weren’t for what she needed to do to support herself. It’s a vicious cycle.

Things get really bad one night. But after that the sizzling hot action occurs. There’s loads of action and twists and turns as Eden tries to better herself but still remains the person she is.

My first time reading both authors and let me tell you, no disappointment here. Ready for the next part in this series ladies!!!

ARC provided and I decided to leave an honest review.

My heart broke for Eden and the trajectory her life took to a downward spiral and everything around her that went from bad to worse. This book was a mix of everything I enjoy reading dark, raw, steamy, mafia and not puppies and rainbows. I can’t wait for the next one after how this ended!!

No good deed is a dark rh mafia book written in numerous POV’s.
It was my first read from this author, so I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised because I really enjoyed this read.

This book follows the lives of Eden, Santos, Tony, Marco and Giovanni. I was captivated by this book from chapter 1 the plot twists had me hooked! Eden was a character that I really loved because, her life was rough but she still managed to be strong which I really admired about her and my heart broke for her numerous times and I just wanted to give her a hug.

Out of all the boys, Santos was definitely my favourite I was drawn to his brokenness and the tragic aura around him as I just wanted to fix him. I can’t wait to see his relationship with Eden develop more in book 2.

After that explosive ending I have so many unanswered questions which I can’t wait for them to be solved in book 2. If you don’t have any triggers then I would definitely recommend you giving this a read!

This a dark, and I mean dark, romance. It is rather unique from ones I have read in the past year and that’s what grabbed me as I tore through the book.

Eden is a tough woman who unfortunately turned to a life of drugs and prostitution when kicked out of her home as a teenager. A gruesome murder at her job places her back in the sights of a Mafia family she had a special connection with 8 years before. Not to mention in the path of 4 guys - Santos, Vanni, Tony, Marco - who she considered her closest friends. But manipulation and betrayal tore them apart.

I sympathized with Eden. To even do what she had to do to survive couldn’t have been easy when she had no support. The authors did a good job of showing how someone like Eden struggled to kick an addiction while dealing with backlash from her guys for leaving long ago.

And those guys - you’ll love and hate them. You’ll laugh with them one minute and the next you’ll want to strangle them. You have the alpha holes, the quiet one and of course the one that will have a sunnier attitude.

The book has a low-key cliffhanger so Book 2 will be interesting when it comes out.

Oh my freaking lord I need book 2 now! This was actually my first book from either of these authors and holy hell can they write a great storyline with even more amazing characters! I am all for some hot mafia men! Yes Yes yes! Eden and the guys are straight fire.
No Good Deed is a complete page turn from beginning to that freaking ending like whoa!!! So many twists and turns and secrets!!
Eden is absolutely amazing she has been through so much and my heart broke for her multiple times, yet she still has this mesmerizing simplicity to her that you can’t help but fall in love with her. Even with the way the Carlotti Brothers would treat Eden and I seriously wanted to hurt them, you could still see how much each of them cared for her and really only wanted what was best for her and to keep her protected.
This is the first part of the duology and man what a ride it was I can’t only imagine what we are all store for n the next book. I am here for it all! These freaking characters really stick with you long after you have finished reading.

Woo this one had me up until 4am because I was hooked from the first page. Now the author was great about posting a warning so I will too. This is definitely not a book for everyone. It has many triggers and is Definitely a Dark Romance.

Now let me say this book was unexpected but I loved it. It was gritty and raw and the characters were.....wow I dont know if I can do justice to the characters. Santos so far is honestly my favorite if I had to choose. I really enjoyed Anyonio (Tony), Giovanni (Vanni), and Marco, but Santos with his dark and broken persona just captured me. What can I say I loved the damaged ones. Now Eden (Angel) was such an interesting character. I understand why she chose to make certain decisions and I am already cheering for her and hoping she gets her HEA and gets to keep all the guys. After everything she has been through she deserves that and more. I have so many questions and cant wait for book 2 in the duet because I need answers. Like seriously who has a hit out for Eden?!

WOW. just wow. I am just blown away by this book. What I think was amazing is that it touched on so many things in our world that is the darkest of dark but it tells it in a real and human way. You don't get the perfect shy FMC, no you get the dark and gritty parts of life where its not all sunshine and roses, where one choice leads you on the path of destruction, or the path to redemption. Eden is on a path hopefully to redemption. Shes made bad choices and that's what makes this book a top 5 stars for me. And its amazing to see this journey shes on. I was enthralled from the first page. It was alphaholes and anger and bitterness, but you can see the bond. ITs shaky, its cracked, but its there..ITS THERE!!!!! and it has the potential to be something that will save them all in the end. Tony, Vanni, Marcos, Santos, they are her soul. She only has to learn to trust again. They will save each other.

This book is dark, it touches on prostitution, drugs, violence, assault, so please read the triggers, but if you can read this, its a read that will touch your heart, break you, make you cry, but then you can just see the light beginning at the end of the tunnell.. This is a must read and I cant wait to see what happens in book 2

The graphic sexual assault in the end took me by surprise. After how the heroine is reunited with old mafia friends (during the middle of an orgy in which she’s high off her ass and subsequently overdoses) the end should not have shocked me so much and yet it sure as hell did. However after the beginning of the book as the heroine gets clean the tone changes and the outside threats become less severe. The heroine seems to lead a life of suffering, one that seems never ending and certainly only gets worse when she’s taken by the guys’. Life has shoved her in an inescapable box and this is where I liked the heroine because she seemed so beaten down by life at times and relatable. Out of nowhere a little fire would glow in her and it was nice to see her stand up for herself.

I personally didn’t love the relationship that develops here but mostly with Santos. He’s such an asshole and treats her like everything wrong in the world is her fault, even when he learns the truth about her disappearance years ago. He can’t let go of his pride and if I was Eden I’m not sure how I’d forgive some of what he’s said and done. Not only that for much of the early parts of the book each guy treats her rather horribly and uses her like she is a meaningless whore who they should have just offer. Ughhhhthe rage I’m feeling from all the condescension has my heart beating out of control.

I’m also mildly surprised with the end because I thought for sure she’d be delighted to be off on her own away from them and yet it seems the opposite is true. Can’t say I blame the guys for killing those dirty cops after what they did but I hope it’s some hella shocking reveal in how they’re being charged and got caught because otherwise I’ll just be disappointed in them. They’re all kind of assholes and their jobs/mafia life still seems distant from Eden and whats going on with her. I’m also disappointed in her willingness to run so quick back into danger when she finally has a chance of escaping. I would have preferred there to be some groveling on their end and maybe there still will be in the next book.

No Good Deed is great first book of this series. Let’s me starts off by saying lots of TRIGGERS are in the book. With that being said No Good Deed had me from the first page to the last page I couldn’t put the book down.

Eden has had a horrific life. A lot of horrible things have happen to her and she has survived them. Eden not your usually kickass heroine but she still a bad ass lead women who can handle anything that is thrown her way.

The “guys” Antonio, Marco, Vanni, and Santos are all part of the Carlotti family business and also Eden children hood friends.

During events at the Cherry Club Eden dance at Eden is saved/kidnapped by Tony and Vanni. And that set offs a chain off events that will keep you on the edge of seat. No good deed has lots of twist and turns. Eden and the guys wills definitely have you fight for them. You will get drama passion tear and violence in the book.

The authors do a wonderful job bring kickass characters. They give us a storyline that not only pulls you in but keep you wondering what happens around the corner. The characters are dark you can feeling their pain. And what a cliffhanger ending. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Wow wow wow. Im almost speechless after reading this dark masterpiece! Pay attention to those trigger warnings because this is a dark, dark read. But boy oh boy is it worth it! Eden is a stripper who's been in the game for ten years, there's not much she won't do in the physical sense and the narcotic sense. Then her past walks in the door while she's performing for a private party and everything changes. The action in this book is quite frankly astounding, considering for a large portion of it, Eden is a prisoner and detoxing. With flashbacks that will break your heart, gritty and harsh reality encroaches on Eden and the boys lives. Mafia, reverse harem and a truly open and bitterly honest view of steamy times, this book is a rue masterpiece and proof that these two authors are a match made in heaven (or possibly hell!)

I don’t were to start as am lost for words as that was a very emotional ride reading about Eden and the Carlotti brothers I cried for Eden it was heart breaking what she had gone through.

Eden is a broken women and is just living one day to the next and when she will get her next fix when one night her past catches back up with her a decade later. In the form off the Carlotti brothers and her life is about to be turn upside down.

The story has twist and turns , secrets and untruths and keeps you wanting to read the next page. I have to say there were times when I wanted to hurt the Carlotti brothers for how the were with Eden but in the end they wanted what was best for Eden even though it would hurt them all.

And the ending omg I need the second book ASAP to find out what happens next and god I hope there’s a happier ending I absolutely loved this story and Emma Cole what an amazing story line and plot and not forgetting the characters 👍

Wow. I don’t know what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. This isn’t a fairytale, or a sweet love story. No. This book is dark, gritty, raw. It’s a blood bath. And it’s not for everyone.
Eden didn’t have an easy life, she was betrayed by someone that should be her protector, and because of that her life became a nightmare. She had to do some dark things to survive, give parts of her that she shouldn’t have to give. But even when she was at her worst, she never lost her fire, her spirit. It was something that I loved about her. Her resilience.
The guys are ruthless, cold blooded killers, but the little moments when they are happy, playful and carefree, they looked like completely different people. It was refreshing to see in the midst of all the violence and blood.
This is an extremely dark romance, one that I truly recommend if you have the guts to read it 🖤

Holy Sh**, that was freaking intense. There was debauchery, there was personal growth, and a whole tone of violence. No Good Deed was an intense mafia themed read with a RH twist. Between the past and current timelines, I was kept completely engrossed from beginning to end. There are also some VERY dark scenes that left me feeling rather bereft. Left on a bit of a cliffhanger, I CAN'T WAIT to see what happens next in this dark duet.

A mafia read like no other I’ve come across so far. Eden our FMC is clearly in a bad place in her life and leads her right back to the tipping point in her life that started her on her current path. Past and present collide before us as we see it all unfold masterfully before our very eyes. The character development and storytelling is so amazing that it feels real. We got a very up close look at the characters, with vividly developed trauma scenes, and a decent dose of the mafia life that’s heating up into a wider scope for the second installment.

I just... WOW. The first word that comes to mind is elegant. As dark as this book was, and despite the gut churning emotions it provokes, it is just so smoothly written I was lost in the story thoroughly. The transitions between character viewpoints were flawless and seriously sucked you in.

I was SO invested in this book, I was at a loss at the end, this keeps happening and it's proof that these authors have seriously stepped up their game. This book is so raw and honest you can't help but feel like you're living it. The incidents herein aren't sugar coated and manipulated for intimacy they are written with an exactness that one would assume was from nothing other that experience. It was nothing but real. Absolutely stunning.

No Good Deed is a masterpiece and deserves every bit of praise available. Standing ovations all around. I'm ready for an encore.

The amount of times h got her vagina stitched was impressive and extremely unrealistic. Although, I have to give props of writing good DVP. I read one book before this a horrible DVP, where that happened randomly like whoops. Does two dicks ever just slip in by accident? Huh..

Okay, now. Why 2 stars? It had so many meh moments, one of them h being constantly stitched up because she gets assaulted throughout the book.

I didn't feel any connection between all H's besides her and her first love, Santos. Everybody else just didn't make any sense and it felt like it was all sex and nothing else. I didn't feel any feelings between anyone. Angel, she truly needs not good gang bang, but rehab and psychologist.

Thank you to Talk Nerdy 2 Me for a chance to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First off I love a good bad boy smutty romance and boy did this one deliver. I saw mafia and I was immediately drawn in. There was some pretty smoking hot sex scenes that didn't disappoint. I am a sucker for enemy to lover romances and having the back story woven in throughout. I liked that the authors placed a trigger warning in the beginning because there is drug use, abuse, assault and rape in the story. I like that this story is a duology because sometimes I get bored with longer series. I just hope that it can be wrapped up in the next book because boy did the last fourth of the book have me on the edge of my seat. I am also really hoping for a HEA with all 4 men of course!
