A collection of three stories in the Opposite of Magic universe: Emily Daggett fights a (very unsatisfactory) villain, a teenage Alexander Hartgrave discovers a skill he’ll come to regret and an adult Hartgrave meets a disaster of a coworker he is not going to fall for.
(Spoiler alert: He totally does.)

This was quite short, but a pleasant read. The language is very intelligent without being pretentious. I like how sensitive Alexander is (but hides this aspect of himself). And optimistic Emily as a child playing with her friends was super cute. On the same night, I had also read "Hard Bargain" which is a bonus story for "Into The Bargain". I read that book awhile back so it was nice to return to that setting. Again, another sensitive and thoughtful MMC.
