I went into this expecting a generic fantasy story with two dimensional characters and poor storytelling as is the usual in Korean manhwa and light novels. However this series is quite the opposite. The manhwa's art is exceptional and the world building is incredible. Rather than skimming through boring dialogue until I reach a mildly interesting fight scene. I ended up becoming super invested in the main character's growth and the plot's development. The depth in every aspect of this series' world shows how much love the author put into this. Every character's motives are believable and the thought put into everything from the religions, to the various nations and tribes within this world cements its place as one of the most well written fantasy comics I've ever read. However if you're looking for constant action, you may find this series a bit disappointing. While there are many great fight scenes throughout, the highlight of this series is the growth of the main characters philosophy and ethics.
Spectacular Art with a mature worldbuilding and storytelling based in a Medival Europe setting.
The review is for all the 100 chapters comprising this Webtoon
This is among the best webtoons I have come across, It's a bit too refined for this format and fits in with the finest Graphic Novels I have read.
The story revolves around a barbarian with herculean strength coming to civilization, discovering new gods, and finding a place for himself in this medical society. There is a depth to the storytelling, and it could have been a long epic tale, but seems to have been dropped midway. Still, it was not rushed and we do get a complete ending. The story does bear a resemblance with Conan the Barbarian just less fantasy.
The Art is the highlight here, be it the drawing, colours or illustrations they are perfect.
Sadly, the series got dropped, maybe it was not suitable for the webtoon format.
