Peggy Darling (RN) takes a technical and complex topic and makes it accessible for just about anyone. Her narrative style of writing, warmth, and personal anecdotes make her thorough breakdown of DBT, how it is used, and why it is useful an enjoyable experience for an audience that is likely here for information, not pleasure reading. I have recommend or passed on copies of this book to 5 different people, each with different connections to the subject (some personal, some familial, some professional). Thank you, Nurse Darling, for this book. 10/10, highly recommend.

Peggy Darling is an expert on DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Her style is easy to understand and very accessible. She makes useful suggestions that the reader can implement almost immediately such as mindfulness, positive imagery and managing difficult emotions. The book can serve as a handbook for coping with a variety of situations, such as managing stress and maintaining emotional balance. This book is helpful and well researched.

Encouraging and informative

By reading this book, you will find solutions to deal with negativity. You can overcome depression and other emotions that have been dominating your thoughts. You will find strategies that you can implement.The author explains 20 techniques of DBT. It reminds you that life is not perfect and that everyone experiences certain trauma. It is how we react and overcome them that matters.

excellent treatment information

If you are looking for answers to how to help a loved one or yourself with BPD, this is an excellent detailed solution. Wish I’d had this to reference when married to my first husband who suffered with BPD. Back then it was a relatively new diagnosis and not much in the way of treatment was known.!

Comprehensive guide to DBT

This book is incredibly thorough and provides a great overview of DBT. This information was presented in a way that made it easy to understand and incorporate into daily life. I can already tell a difference in the amount of negativity in my life! Highly recommend.

Highly recommended

This is an amazing book which focuses on practical solutions on clinical evidences. The author has neatly written everything and it's easy to understand. A must buy book.
