Karen McKenna had just recently made a major career change. She was combining her love of research with her love of the paranormal by working for the “Spirits Among Us” TV show. Since this was a fledging show and needed to differentiate itself from the competition, Karen and the team needed to try a new tactic. They were going to visit places that had been haunted from their pasts or those suggested by their viewers. First up, they were all going to a mental hospital in Pennsylvania that had plagued Karen for years. Hopefully when their show aired, they would have found a link between the living and the dead, but also the actual reason that the institution was still believed to be haunted.
