Sage Orchid has always been the wild child in her family. She’s high tempered and doesn’t take nonsense from anyone, including the men in her life. After getting into some trouble that could’ve ruined her life forever she vows to get herself together and only focus on the things that matter. Entertaining a man on a serious level is the last thing she wants to do. However, that all changes when she meets her twin flame, Zane Romero.
Sage & Zane was one toxic ass couple. I loved Sage Mike Tyson hands 🤣🤣. This was a cute story I’m glad Sage and her sister both got there happily ever after.
This was a wild ride but I couldn’t stop reading! The toxicity was just what the doctor ordered for me!. Sage didn’t play no games, whatsoever but she met her match with Zane.
Sage and Zane were a toxic mess. And I was here for every minute of it. The writing and storytelling by this author were excellent as usual. I loved Sage she was definitely about that life and was ready to throw hands at any minute. I loved everything about this story. Another 5 star read.
Sage's rage was a bit off-putting. She lacked self control and often resorted to physical violence.. It caused her to spend time in jail. Cion is an amazing writer but she continually stereotypes Black women with the ratchet, violent pretty girl trope that wears designr clothing but can barely afford a car and lives in the projects. That ship done sailed ,Cion!
Sage is floundering after getting out of jail. She thinks with her emotions without sitting down and developing a plan on how to get herself on track. She meets Zane. They have reckless sex without commitment and she wonders why he refuses to say "I love you". She finally grows up and sets expectations. When that happens, Zane steps up and does the right thing as boyfriend and Dad. Good book and filled with lots of unnecessary lessons learned.
This was an amazing story. That airport scenario was definitely one I hadn’t read before so that was refreshing. Sage and Zane are perfect for each other. Some stuff felt a little unexplained, like Ace and Danielle… they were going so hard almost to the point of embarrassing themselves and then they just…walked away… idk it felt a little rushed but that’s the good thing about this author because the rest of the story was so entertaining that I didn’t even think about ole Danielle and Ace until now 😂. Anyway great read!
Just the first two chapter and there are several typos making it hard for me to focus
Damn Zane is a hypocrite. I didn’t like the way Sage was acting desperate after Ace blew up her spot.
Yo I was yelling at Sage and some points but eventually she got back to the girl I love. I actually liked Zane by the end. I enjoyed the various relationship dynamics. Cion Lee is a great story teller na d knows how to suck me in. I enjoy the drama, the ratchedness, everything. Looking forward to more from the other characters that have been mentioned throughout the many books
I loved Sage and Zane’s story. They were the perfect level of toxic without overdoing it or making them unlikable. The story was a little shorter than what I normally expect coming from this author but she pulled it off. Maybe because we got a glimpse of them in Zooley and Zahara’s story. Even though this is a standalone I recommend reading their siblings story in We All We Got to get the full scope. Loved this read and can’t wait to see which one of her characters are next to get a book.
Cion….girl! This is why you’re one of my favorite authors. I love how your books show growth within the characters and the fact that I can relate to the many situations I read about. I saw a little bit of my own relationship w/ my man in Zane & Sage; that toxicity can be damaging but it’s something about going through that to get to a better place. ♥️
Sage and Zane definitely had their up and down moments, but they were meant for each other. I was waiting on Kaysha to do something trifling bc I knew it was coming. I like Zahara and Zooley for each other, glad they got back together. I need an update on the sisters on both their side bc I know they'll be on some hot girl stuff next.
CL consistently delivers highly entertaining — albeit toxic — characters that make you laugh, shout and shake your head at their shenanigans. They’re also ambitious, intelligent, loyal and insightful (often well beyond their years). Sage and Zane gave me everything I love about Cion Lee and I will keep coming back for more!!
Been waiting on these two for a minute. It was good to see things from their POV I always thought they were feeling each other more than they pretended to. I also love how we stir get to stay connected to other characters from previous stories. Cion Lee is definitely in my top 10 favorite authors.
Too many men dish it but can’t take it and Sage’s and Zane’s relationship was proof. This book kept me entertained, but I expected nothing less from Cion. It was refreshing to read about a female lead that wasn’t sitting around crying waiting for a man to do right. Sage literally moved on and bossed up and I love you to see it.
She did it again!!! This book grabbed me from the first page and did not let me go into the very last word. This whole book was a high note. There were no low point in this book. If you love a book that has drama, young love, toxicity and action then I definitely recommend you read this book. 🔥❤🔥❤
This story was so good, this author can do no wrong in my eyes. The whirlwind romance between Zane and Sage was hot and hilarious mixed with a little toxicity, but they’re still growing…I’m sure we’ll get an update on them in a book in the future.
Zane and Sage were exactly what each other needed. They both were young so I expected mistakes but they never detoured far enough to call it quits for good . Being friends really helped them establish a great foundation for their relationship. I really want an update on their marriage and the baby
Love an independent strong black women. Zane and Sage where met to be together, they are to much alike. The tug a war they where doing was giving me a bad ache, break-up to make-up glad they finally got it together. Love this standalone Cion Lee you are becoming my favorite author.
This one is my least favorite. Sage was way too childish for Zane. She didn’t know how to say what she felt. She kept doing stuff off assumption, instead of taking to Zane, she annoyed me and I kept hoping Zane found someone else his speed. Their connection was off unlike the other couples. I knew why them women went crazy. Sage was just childish
Too ooo ok Sage was bit nothing nice. I loved everything about her. Zane didn't know what to do with the female version of himself. She kept him on his toes but eventually feelings got involved and things get rocky but will they survive or continue to do them.
Cion never disappoints!!! Sage might have become one of my top 5 girls out of Cion books!. She ain’t give Zane no slack baby! He got whatever he gave!!. I was happy to see both of them grow with & without each other. It’s a must read
Always a roller coaster ride of toxicity but I love it. As always I enjoyed the characters and their explosive personalities. I love the closeness of the Families and even though Zora was a mess she raised so good kids. Can’t wait to see what’s next
Sage and Zane were too funny. I loved that their wild spirit matched perfectly. From the beginning I was rooting for them and I’m happy to see their relationship blossom into a strong one.
This book was decent read over all, it seems all her books are kind of the same.Boy and girl meet can't do without each other babies come and it's love ever after....
Zane and Sage got on every last one of my nerves but I enjoyed every moment of it. They both have some growing up to do. Zora kept me entertained. She was so unsorted herald no matter how cringy. I loved these characters and the story.
First of all, I read all of Cion's books and this one was good from start to finish. Also, this book was comical. I was laughing out loud on so many parts. This book is certainly 5 stars and a great read. Good job to the author. This is one of my favs
This story was good! I love how badass Sage was. She didn’t take any mess and demanded her respect. She was really the girl version of Zane. I liked them together, although Zane pissed me off several times. 4/5 stars.
I really enjoyed Sage and Zane's story. It was so well written and relatable even with all of the back and forth and toxicity. They really were the same person, just different genders. I'm glad they got their happy ending.
I throughly enjoyed reading about Sage & Zane! Them two had me weak laughing! A miracle is what they needed to get it right, and it happened! Great read!
