Collecting From the Pit Volume Two, Issues 1-4 from years XXVII-XXVIII A.S. A quarterly release with essays, articles, reviews and quotes curated and largely written by Michael Rose.
"From the Pit, the newsletter of the Abbadon Grotto is printed quarterly and sent to all members."
Michael Rose was raised on a small family dairy farm in Upstate New York. He retired after serving in executive positions for several global multinational enterprises. He has been a non-executive director for three public companies headquartered in the US. He lives and writes in San Francisco.
Grumpier than Volume One, Rose his a more analytical tone in his articles, circling his ideas to restate the same opinion in more thorough ways. Rose's work is likely better in this volume and I'm less patient to hear it. This volume continues to encapsulate the jaded 90s and waning satanic panic spirit. There are still some historical tidbits to enjoy here, including a Christmas article from Jantsang (ala Dark Doctrine), and mention of early writings of Priestess Ygraine. Overall this volume complains more than it contributes, though.
