I'm glad to have Hunter home, and things seem to be getting back to normal. Seth and Alex are back to their on again off again bromance/bickering and Lucas is following his dream of writing, despite his parent's wishes. Then when an agent approaches him with a big break, Lucas has to decide if writing about his family is worth disrupting everything.
Good book for a rainy day read. I think reading the Other books in the series would definitely assist when getting to book 7. Lucas’ struggle with selling out his family seemed rather immature and dragged throughout the book.
Took me a few chapters to get back in the story and become friendly with the characters once more. Once I did it was like having old friends over for dinner and reminiscing old times, very rewarding and enjoyable. This book was a very good read and I loved being back with the characters, back in their lives and complex relationships. Can’t wait for more.
I enjoyed reading Lucas(Life in the Brohouse Book 7)!!! All about Rachel Miller a Junior in college & her roommates/boyfriends Seth, Alex both are runners & seniors in college, Hunter works at the gym & ex-football quarterback & Lucas a writer who works in the cafe to make a living. Hunter is back in Colorado living with his dad, and working at the local gym while being enrolled in the graduate program for teaching. He’s struggling with his addiction, but hoping his family & girlfriend can help keep him clean. Lucas is struggling with working non-stop in the cafe and barely making ends meat, plus he’s struggling with weather to write a story about his family in a tell all book that the publishers will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for. Alex & Seth are still running and trying to get into the Olympic camp over the summer, as well as struggling with their feelings for each other. And Rachel is working hard on her art, as she’s trying to get into a special art mart that’s held in May on campus. Read all about these special friends with benefits, who help make living worth it!!! Lots of emotions and plenty of toe curling action. Can’t wait to read book 8!!! Definite Read!!??
This series so far is spectacular! I am absolutely hooked and I must know what happens next with each character! When I began reading, however, I didn’t realize it wasn’t a complete series! Which sucks as I read so many books I’m afraid I’ll forget about this when the newest book comes out next month! 🤞fingers crossed I don’t forget!
It’s so wonderful to see each and everyone come into their own and find their way in their lives! That cliff hanger left me screaming inside! Rachel is pregnant! I cannot wait to see how this all plays out. How will the bros handle it? I hope this doesn’t cause any issues not knowing who the father will be? Will Seth and Alex come to terms with their budding feelings? Will they make it to the Olympics? And if they do what will happen with their relationship with Rachel?
Will Lucas’s career as a writer take off? How well will hunter do in grad school? How will Rachel handle being pregnant and all the changes coming? Will she make it as an artist finally? So many questions I need answers too! I cannot wait until book 8 comes out!

“Lucas” is the seventh book in the Life in the Brohouse Series by Carmen Black. Without spoiling too much, this book continues Rachel’s story with the Bros. This story focuses more on Lucas’ journey being with Rachel and the Bros and on him figuring out his career.
I love this series and Lucas is one of my favourite Bros so I was excited to read this one. I love how Lucas was written and I related a lot to his personality and his feelings of rejection. I loved seeing Lucas’ character grow in this book. I also loved seeing the other Bros and Rachel continue to grow as well. The spice was well written and the banter was just as good as it was in the rest of the books in this series.
I have loved this series from book 1. Rachel and her guys are what I would picture a real every day reverse harem to be like. They seem realistic and have their issues, insecurities and jealousy now and then. I enjoyed getting more of Lucas’ story and seeing him create the life he wants not the one set in place by his parents. I also enjoy with this series that all characters have a pov and their stories continue separately and as a group. I love the multiple pov’s! Oh and I love Seth & Alex. I am worried about Hunter a bit, but with the way this ended my fingers are crossed it helps them all move forward together a little more stable and on the same page! I’m so excited for book 8, I really hope it’s soon!!
If you have read the rest of the series you need to grab a copy. Everyone has something happening. Rachael with her parents divorce and figuring out her future. Hunter changing his future and his struggle to not fall bd k to bad patterns. Alex and Seth still struggle over the kiss at thanksgiving. Then there is Lucas. After his father made a scene at New Years. Cutting Lucas from his life. He is shoot his new family are there for him. But his writing hasn’t taken off like he had hoped. Hates working at the cafe in fact being over worked. So this shows how everyone is helping each other as they find there way. I received a free copy for a honest review. Can’t wait for the next book

Another amazing book in the series " Life in the Brohouse" the author Scarlet Lantern has not disappoint yet and this is book seven out of eight. Lucas has finally got a contract for his story, this story has Rachel and the Bros not feeling comfortable. Rachel has had to put her foot down with her mum, Hunter moved back home after selling his unit, and Seth and Alex are training together to get in the Olympics will their lives go the way they are hoping for or will there be bumps along the way.

Assuming this book goes through major editing before publication, I give it a 4 star.
I love this series and have become very invested in the characters over the 7 books! This book focused on Lucas and his internal dilemma with publishing the story on his family. While the focus was on him, we still saw lots of Rachel, Hunter, Seth, and Alex. AND OMG!!! CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT SETH AND ALEX?!?!?!?!? SO HOT!!!!!!!!! I could only read about them and be completely content! Just wait til you get to Chapter 18 besties!
Book 7 in the Brohouse Series. These books do need to be read in order. This book continues following Rachel and her guys. Mainly Lucas and how he is handling life after being cut-off from his family and trying to find his way without the wealth and privilege his family name came with. This also continues Hunter's story with life after leaving the NFL, as well as the new-found relationship between Seth and Alex and how they are making their way through those feelings and if they should act on them. Can't wait for book 8 to see where their journey goes next!!
I have enjoyed following the storyline in each of the books in this series. Each book has its own flair, as well as a quirk or two. However, everyone of the books is plaqued with horrible editing. Misspelled words, the usage of the wrong word and a few nonsense sentences show up consistently. If ARCs are being used, they are not doing their job and if they are, the editor is failing to take note of issues. Please keep writing but fix the editing as it takes away from your storyline.
Oh my word Rachel and the Bros are facing more obstacles as Lucas and Alex get ready to graduate.
The gang was on one wild Rollercoaster and things sure do have a way of staying interesting with these five. I couldnt put this story down. This series has me completely captivated and invested.

Good story for Lucas and his writing. With the family not liking his writing career but he gets approached to write but it’s about his family can he do that and the family be ok with this or will he decline and feel like he missed out. I volunteered to read this book for my honest opinion
The nape, as I understand it, is the back of the neck. Kissing one's nape and kissing one's side neck, or the front/base of the neck, are completely different locations. The use of "nape" in this book is redundant and incorrect.
Although Lucas 8s the main focus all the Bros have lots going on this semester. Alex and Seth graduate, Hunter is working to stay sober, Lucas gets a book deal and has to make difficult decisions and his parents are trying to reconcile with him and the group.
Loved it! Lucas definitely has some decisions to make. Not easy ones either. Just glad that Rachel and the rest of the bros can be there and help him through it. Of course the sex scenes are 🥵🥵
