This is a continuation story to Ready to Jingle. Book Two, Men of Sin, is coming April 2022Merry Camilleri and Ivo Sergei have a history.
Ivo is the first man to rock Merry’s world, but in real life, things are complicated. Then, during one night of fun with her sister, the unthinkable happens…
Ivo can’t forget the sexy brunette who got away. But now it is time for him to cement his position in the Mafia world through a strategic alliance through marriage.
Imagine his surprise when he realizes the woman he’s now engaged to is Merry’s stepmother. And that the same Merry who once moaned his name in the throes of ecstasy now hates him with a passion. When he is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, it is up to Merry to help him clear his name.
Aside from the grammar issues, the book was incredibly difficult for me to read. It seemed like a rough first draft just to get the ideas on paper. The sentence flow was incredibly choppy. Based primarily in LA, it seemed like a lot of common American phrases were misquoted. Almost as if the book were written in another language first and then poorly translated. I was disappointed with how hard it was to read because the story line by itself was intriguing. I wanted to like it, but I had to force myself to finish it.
I stayed up late to find out what was going to happen! What a feat to explain what I just read! Lol This story has so many moving parts. Ivo only has love for Merry. But everything's a mess. Elaine is nuts and is planning to marry Ivo as a strategic business move, having no idea that Merry and Ivo have a history. A history that is very much still in play. I'm not going to spoil this story by saying anything else. Just read it. You won't be sorry. I took off a star for typos and grammatical errors.
This was a good book but I could have done with a little less graphic happening in chapter 1 or at least a warning. I truly know what Clara went through and it was triggering. But the rest of the book was phenomenal. Also a little closure on ivo's case would have been nice.
Loved that Merry and Ivo had a happy ending. I had a feeling that things were going to play out the way did. Good read, good smutt. Only thing I'm left wondering is what was happening, if anything, between Clara and Gregory.
