The Interrogation: A Tortured Soul

Rate this book
When Khalil Najem is captured by an Arab regime in the midst of a civil war, there's a race against the clock to find out who this American boy really is. Go inside the mind of militancy and radicalization in this thriller.

The A Tortured Soul is a novella set in an unnamed Arab country in the throes of a civil war. After being tortured, Khalil gave up an alias that revealed him to be a high-value asset that American officials are moving heaven and earth to retrieve. He is moved to the capital and interrogated by the country's top interrogator to discover why he is so important to the U.S. Government. However, any further torture has been forbidden. A deal has been struck between a corrupt regime official and a shadowy American agent named Jon Byrne, who has come to bring the boy home -- after he concludes his own interrogation.

With time running out, each side attempts to get what they need. In the process, they contend with the realities of terrorism, war, and one boy's foolish attempt to seek God and glory.
