This is book two of the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series and the main characters are Kayla and Cameron. Kayla is a person who likes to move around and escape her tragic past, having lost both her parents and sisters when she was only fifteen. Her aunt raised her after that, but she started travelling after finishing college, not wanting to settle for anyone or anywhere, just picking her next destination by pointing at a map. Her next destination is the small town of Stony River, but just before she arrives there, she ends up crashing into the back of a truck in front of her. The owner of the truck is Cameron Cooper, one of seven brothers who all served in the army and have returned to town to help their father after their mother’s death. After checking she is okay and exchanging names, he gives her directions to the nearby B&B and then leaves. Cameron has his own trekking company and works as a trekking guide in the local area and can’t get her out of his mind, but knows she is just passing through. She ends up getting a job almost straight away as a waitress in the local bar and hears more about Cameron from her fellow workers. It seems he is the perpetual bachelor and has a string of conquests behind him. Even his own brothers think he has already gotten her into his bed, but she is someone he could actually see himself having a real relationship with, if he could get her to stick around. Kayla doesn’t do relationships. Having suffered such a loss at a young age, she believes that if she falls in love with someone, she will lose them! Neither of them can get the other out of their heads though and he asks her to go trekking with him on his day off, which is an unusual behaviour. They are very similar in their relationship history, but this might be the one time they both want something different! Shame both of them are still worried about being tied to one person and don’t communicate their hopes and especially their fears to each other. It gets steamy and they share a night together after he gets rid of an annoying man bothering her and a couple of other women, when he was actually out with some of his brothers. They poke fun at him and he doesn’t like to accept that they think he may have met his match. She reveals her feelings and he is scared off. It takes interventions from some of his brothers to make him see the error of his knee jerk reaction and they insist he goes and tells her how he really feels. At least then, they will both be on the same page! A steamy, short romance with a HEA ending and more to come for the Cooper brothers. I just wish it was a bit longer and we could have seen more of them. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
A sweet instant love story that will have you turning the pages to see what will these two stubborn commitment phobes do!
Kayla- the soon to be new resident of Stony River, Alaska literally bumps into the bachelor of Stony River, - Cameron with her car in the dense fog and it was set in stone for the bachelor of Stony River- he has met his match!
Kayla does not stay long in any place as she does not make commitments with the men and residents she meets and does not have any family, so she goes where her finger points on the map, but she feels very welcome and at peace in the small Alaskan town not to mention the gorgeous trekking guide she bumped into- Cameron!
Two souls scared of commitment find the missing pieces in each other that they have been looking for but will they acknowledge it to each other?
Will Cameron's brothers step in and open his eyes to the possibility of forever happiness with Kayla?
A very fast paved page turner with heat!

This book is about Kayla and Cameron. Kayla has endured a lot of loss and therefore doesn’t want to even think about tying herself down to anyone or any one place. She travels a lot and loves that lifestyle. Her next stop is a place called Stony River. This is where she bumps into Cameron… well, more like crashes into him. He has similar thoughts on commitment, but these two share some kind of mutual attraction that pulls them together.
It’s an emotional story that has great characters in a wonderful setting. Every time I read a story about Alaska, fictional it may be, I feel so compelled to go there one day. It must be something in the air! I give this book four stars.

3.5 stars First things first; I like the cover of this book! Cameron is the second book in the ‘’Cooper brothers in Alaska’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Cameron is not a man with plans to settle down. Kayla is a bit of a wandering soul. She never stays in a town more than a few months. When she meets Cameron will she find a reason to stay? The chemistry between Cameron and Kayla is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
Kayla moves around a lot because she doesn’t have a family. Of course, she wants adventure too. Stony River is a new town to her. She gets herself a job really quick. People are friendly. Not to mention handsome Cameron. They literally run into each other, in the fog with car damage. They are both terrible with relationship, but they can’t ignore their chemistry. Are they brave enough to give their heart to each other and risk being hurt? Luckily the friends and family around them are there to help. Short story and quick to the point. Kayla is running from dealing with relationships after losing her parents and sisters. Picking a place on a map, she ends up in Stony River Alaska, literally running into Cameron before she gets to town. The characters are well developed for a short story, with intense feelings and great backstories. The storyline has tight knit families and friends, drama, entertaining situations, surprises, big decisions and much more. The chemistry and banter are terrific. The ending is great and can not wait to see which brother is next.

This is the second book in the Cooper Brothers in Alaska series, it can be read as a standalone story. No cliffhangers, no cheating.
A sweet and steamy fast-paced instalove novella, the storyline is fun and both Cameron and Kayla are likable characters. Kayla comes to town on one of her trips and falls I love with the town and the most notorious bachelor in Stony River. They have an instant connection that just gets deeper as they learn more about each other.
Cameron finally met his match! This is about Cameron Cooper one of the Cooper bachelors and apparently the one that would never settle down! Of course, the one woman, Kayla, is somewhat of the same person as Cameron, but something about Stoney River makes everything just right, but would fear of being left alone drag Kayla away from Cameron? Or could the fear of Cameron not being good at having relationships be the other obstacle. .

Kayla is a sort of vagabond. Without much family left, she travels place to place and only stays a few weeks or months. She meets confirmed bachelor, Cameron, on her way in to Stony River. They have an instant attraction and keep running into each other, but neither think they are made for commitment. A few miscommunication talks and lots of passionate encounters later, they make it to their happily ever after. This is part of a series but is a complete stand alone. Super cute!

Side swiped The Cooper Brothers of Stony River are a rowdy bunch until they are claimed unexpectedly. No one in town expected Cameron, the playboy, to be smitten by a female. When Kayla comes into town and they side swipe each other then the games begin. Not planning on staying in one place as she usually does, Kayla can’t figure out why she can’t get Cameron off her mind. Cameron is in a similar situation except he starts acting out of his normal routine. Can they each change enough to give true feelings a chance?

This is a short but sweet romance with the right amount of steam. There is an immediate connection between Cameron and Kayla when they meet but despite their attraction their pasts hold them back from the one thing they have both always shied away from, commitment. I enjoyed this read and was rooting for the characters to make it work as you could see they both deserved their own happiness.
