My greatest nightmare has been realized; I have failed her once again. She gave her freedom to save us and her life trying to fight her way back to us. I laid Kenna to rest, yet she is never far from my thoughts. The beings who took her from me will not survive long as I formulate my plans to end them all. I just have to get through the next couple of months to let the initial shock and heartbreak of losing her settle. A knock on the door brings me face to face with one of the beings on my list. If he is so anxious to die, I am only too happy to accommodate his wish. As I face Armaros, the being who stood over her as her life faded away, my revelry is short-lived when movement pulls my attention, this is when a new reality begins. I broke their rules by going after her, and soon Tartarus will have its latest resident.Note from the This novel contains mature content not suitable for all readers. Marcelle Valentine has long been an admirer of creating worlds in which people can get lost in. From the time when she was little, her active imagination took her on epic journeys to faraway places where troubles and friendships abound. After discovering the intriguing world of Paranormal/Fantasy Romance, which stirred up memories of all those distant places and friends, her desire to write returned. She invites you to travel with her during these journeys and get lost in a world with friends, enemies, and lovers, all firmly rooted in the supernatural realm. Marcelle is the author of the Scarred by Fate Series and the episodic series Shadow’s Moon. She lives in Ohio with her husband, has two children, three grandchildren, and one lovable, lazy Great Dane.
Opposing Tartarus by Marcelle Valentine is the fourth book in the Scarred by Fate Series. Once again, Kenna and Logan must face the consequences and perils of their destiny and deal with the challenges of opposing forces determined to keep them apart. Book four is another five-star read that takes you on a page-turning-ride through the depths of hell and leaves you yearning to know if the two make it out and remain together. Highly recommend this five-star read.
I was up at midnight just to get this book on release day. I really love the characters. The guys in this are awesome!! I love Kenna’s sass. Kat is the best. She makes me laugh. I’ve said from book one that there’s more to Kenna than everyone thinks. You start seeing that in this one. I can really connect to the characters and I don’t want to give any spoilers but I sure hope something didn’t really happen because I’ll cry.
Another amazing part of the series. I don’t want it to end and I know the next book will be the end and I can’t wait to see what happens. This, as all the others in the series, have made me laugh out loud, cry and scream out of frustration. I love each and every MC in this book and I would love to see this on the screen. Amazing! I swear if you like PNR, do yourself a favor and read this series. You will not be disappointed!
Opposing Tartarus sends you on yet another magnificentw, nail biting journey! The revelations in this book are truly jaw dropping! Like my mouth was literally on the floor! I’m so excited to see what will be revealed in book 5! This series has taken me on one of the best journeys any book has allowed me to escape into! Wow….just, WOW!! WHAT A GEM!!
This author has once again written another great piece of work. Such a beautiful continuing story. and always has me hooked from the beginning until the end of the book. So many themes, and emotions going through this. I can picture what is going on in my mind like its a movie. The author knows how to tell a story. If you want a series. ( For adults to read only) then this is a great series!
Just like that, this series is back on track. Picking up where Book 2 left off, this book gave me everything I've been asking for since Book 1. Kenna is back from the dead (figuratively speaking) and death seems to have done wonders for her character. She's more confident, more self-assured. Taking control and using her head rather than allowing her emotions to sweep her away.
She even starts to call Logan out on some of his behaviour, affecting real change in him, thereby rebalancing the power dynamic in their relationship, which made me much more at ease with the whole thing.
I think I have a pretty good idea where this series is going next for the finale, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Another amazing addition to the saga, and I’m so glad that there is more to come! I think this may be my favourite book so far in this series. The writing has definitely improved, and the storyline is exciting and sexy. I already can’t wait for the next book!
Read all the series so far and this one is defiantly the jewel in the crown (so far). Love how the characters have developed and I cannot wait for the story to continue. Highly recommend.
Knowing it was against the rules, Logan went into a forbidden Keep to try to rescue Kenna, though he failed, Logan knew there’s was punishment involved in the transgression. In mourning for Kenna, Logan’s angry when he answers the door three months later. Seeing Amaros on his doorstep and aware of his part in Kenna’s death Logan’s ready to deal out his own brand of punishment!
Logan can’t believe his eyes when Amaros gently guides a living, breathing Kenna in front of him. Putting anger on hold, Amaros welcomes Kenna home. Since Kenna ‘saw’ why Griffin feels the way he does, it causes a fissure in her relationship with Logan and Amaros assigns himself as Kenna’s bodyguard.
Zane’s still missing and suspected of treason. Kenna’s having nightmares return but they’re from a who’s convinced himself she belongs to him. As Logan’s hunt closes in on the king his punishment is moved up. He’s sentenced to a thousand years in Tartarus! Rating: 4.5stars
The saga continues... I really enjoy all of these characters and their sassy idiosyncrasies. These celestial interactions are classic. I also enjoy watching the authors writing improve with each book in the series. Bravo.
