Look,it's not going to keep you awake at night wanting to know what happens next (duh you say!) but, if you are after a reference guide on specific Angels and their various backgrounds, you can't go wrong with Richard Websters 'Encyclopedia of Angels'.

It doesn't have the fluffy 'this angel will be your spirit guide' stuff that I found in many publications but sticks to the factual (as much as anything can on a topic such as this)information I needed for something I was/am writing.

The Encyclopedia is a great source of inspiration and 'backstory' if you are looking to have characters based on, or tied to angel lore.

Thoroughly recommended.

This book has been a really interesting read as it tells of how the different angels are part of the various faiths and religions all over the world. Especially interesting for someone like me who doesn't have any religious beliefs but wanted to know why/how the fallen angels became just that.

Information lite.
It's more of a handbook or overview of angels than a full fledge encyclopedia.

I love this angel guide. It’s not a be all end all for angelology: those books don’t exist. But this book will help you hear the whispers that will deepen your search for these mysterious beings
