Follow their story in Collision, book 1 of The Confession Series.
T. S. Reed is an Independent Author of Steamy Contemporary Romance who yearns for lives she hasn’t lived and love stories that only really happen in books. Growing up, she often hid in the worlds of other people’s words and found solace in the magic of a well told story. She’s a bit of a coffee addict and dreams of running away to New York City, but naturally she’s a homing pigeon and is happiest with her family around her. Her debut novel, Collision, is a story of love, loss and finding yourself in the darkest of times
This was a great read - again, Dana ily for making me read this.
Why was this sooooo good?!?! I enjoyed every single minute of it, especially the secret dating🤭🤭 It was so fun seeing them both sneak around in the office and pretending that they still hated each other when they were around her brother/his best friend.
If you’re looking for a best friend little sister romance than this is the book but fyi this book jumps in the timeline! It was really confusing that’s why I’m rating it 4/5.
This book was so good! The characters, the storyline, the writing, everything. It had the perfect mix of tropes and the perfect balance of heartbreaking moments and moments of extreme swooning. I can’t wait to see what else is in store in the next books of the series, but I’m sure I’ll love them just as much
Ben is amazing, everything he did had my heart melting and wanting more of him. The way he is with mikaela 😩 and the fact that he always knows what to do and is so patient with her!
I received a free ARC of this book and am giving an honest review. Collision is a must-read book. The small moments of heart-warming romance was well blended against the heart breaking moments when all you want to do is reach in the book and hug the characters who really need it, I’m looking at you MikMak. If this is how emotionally damaging books are like, but still bring you back for more.. Collision should definitely be in its ranks. The level of cute moments between Mik and Ben, oh my, they were absolutely heaven to read. Especially that breakfast scene… Ben Haston is a perfect book boyfriend. He is so protective, sweet and a cinnamon roll hidden under a hard exterior. Having both points of view was really lovely to read, as it really shows the depth of their feelings, especially when they considered the other to be “Mine” and all you do when you read those moments is to become a literal heart eyed emoji. The romance had good pacing, didn’t feel forced which led to a great build up and a well deserved And I can’t write an honest review without mentioning the spice… it was on another level. It was utter perfection and with loads of cute moments that turn your insides to mush. Mikaela Wilcox is one hell of a lucky woman. Honestly, why isn’t Mr Benjamin Haston real? For me, I am not a reader who has ever cried a sad or emotional book, looking at certain John Green book turned film, but Collision made me cry happy and sad tears. The trauma is definitely a little dark, but the emotional pay off at the end is totally worth it, especially as you can clearly see character growth.
As always, there are really adorable side characters, I loved Max, he is the friend we all love and need. Sephy is someone we all need, as she has the best advice. And Norman, he is so sweet, and reading the dedication and the end, makes it especially sweet.
I do have to say that Collision does feature domestic abuse, but it is handled very well and the recovery and dealing with the trauma is well balanced. It even showcases self-love and sibling love which I found was really delightful against the darkness. This is a great book, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Congrats TS Reed, you have written a complete masterpiece and I can’t wait for your next book.
i think this book deserves more than 5 stars. the way it consumed me from the first few pages until the end….. jesus christ i’m crying just thinking about the last 20%
💖brothers best friend 💖secret dating 💖touch her and you die 💖frenemies to lovers 💖who did this to you vibes 💖workplace romance (great with the secret dating) 💖bit of a slowburn too
the secret dating brothers best friend trope is done so well in this 🥹 there’s so much tension throughout it and when they kissed for the first time in the dark while jamie was like… right there sleeping????? i was !!!! quite literally silently screaming at work
ben is such a constant for mik and i loved that so much. he doesn’t rush her (considering what she’s been through) and he allows her to become her own person without relying on him too much, but he’s always there for her. the definition of ‘you came, you called’ 🥹
mik… i’m crying once again bc i feel so much for her and her character was so heartbreaking. i was squealing in the last chapter bc of how proud i am of what she managed to do 🥰 if you want strong female characters then pls read this book
i also really loved the writing!!!! dare i say, it reminded me a bit of mariana zapata just with less inner monologue. i cant believe this is a debut novel????? the pacing and structure were so good. so so so good
this book made me cry so much lol i haven’t cried this hard at a book since archers voice and we all know how that book went :-)
What an incredible debut novel. This book had me gripped from the start. I was in love with all of the characters almost immediately. Reed takes the time to carefully craft each and every inch of the character to allow you as a reader to vividly picture them in your head. She adds an incredible layer of depth that makes you feel as if you knew the characters personally.
The issues dealt with in this book were addressed so beautifully and sensitively whilst also not minimising the heartbreak and trauma that they cause. The way in which Mik’s life was effected by her relationship with Matthew shows how abuse sticks with you and impacts you many years in to the future. I felt like Reed addressed this issue perfectly and beautifully crafted a story about learning to love again.
I just know that this will not be the only book from T.S. Reed that I read and love. I cannot wait to see what comes next from her. Congratulations on your first novel, it was outstanding!
Collision is a beautifully written story about two incredibly real, fleshed-out characters. It is a story about love and loss, hope and pain. This is a must-read story. Reed writes about pain with such intricate beauty and detail, not only do I sympathize with the characters, but I feel what they do. Reed's words are cherry-picked, like honey on the page, and the story's prose unfolds beautifully. The love in Collision is so realistic I felt that I was falling in love myself. Mikaela as a character is incredibly relatable, and I think every woman can see themselves reflected in her. Ben is a character that I fell head over heels for. He is a charmer, sure, but he's kind and warm, and one of my new favorite book boyfriends. Overall Collision is a lovely novel that tugs at your heart strings and begs the question, "What will you do for love?", and more importantly, the novel makes a point to ask, "What will love do for you?"
AHHHH THIS BOOK!!🥺🥺 where do I start? Ben and Mikaela are so meant for eachother and are both so in love with eachother!! Reading this book I got lost in the pages and completely forgot I was reading. I wanted to laugh and I wanted to cry. I love how Ben was perfect with Mikaela and always knew how to help her and when to help her, he could always tell how Mikaela was feeling and could read her mind like a book.this book will stay with me forever. I adored this book so much, everyone should definitely read Collision. One of the best enemies to lovers books ive read!❤️
I cant wait to read possession when it comes out!!
Ben is so swoon worthy! The way he is there for Mikayla is so many ways is just!!! To pull Mik from her worst, when she felt so broken and like she was wrong. Just knowing what she needed and when. And I think he falls first is going to be my new fave troupe!
This book tackles some difficult topics very well; with such tenderness. Just perfectly written! Just ❤️
Second, let me just say that this book deals with domestic abuse and it’s lasting effects. There is a warning at the being of the book, so please don’t read if it’s a trigger for you.
Also I’m leaving my review voluntarily since I received this as arc! Release date is June 10th, 2022!
Benjamin Haston is the brother’s best friend. Mikaela Wilcox is the sister that Ben knows he shouldn’t want, but he does. She can’t tolerate him at first so having it as a frenemies to lovers is a perfect troupe. Can also be viewed as enemies to lovers but you should decide. These two characters have incredible banter and it’s hilarious! Benjamin and Mikaela are extremely well-written that they could be real, they have a ton of chemistry. Their feelings at first are non-existent but one that theory is tested neither one can stay away. They are like two moths being drawn to a flame. Ben is a gorgeous man with baby blue eyes that will make your heart beat fast but there’s more to him. Mikaela is a beautiful soul with a tragic past that you just want to jump in the book and hold her. But she’s filled with laughter, witty banter and is funny! There’s hidden kisses, lingering kisses, soft touches and of course sexy time. But it’s a slow burn! They have incredible moments that you get pulled in and want so much more for them, that’s how much chemistry they have. Of course, there are other characters that are very much involved with telling this story like Mikaela’s brother Jamie Wilcox and her best friend Max Kingford. They are a great addition. There are a few others but I won’t say too much on them but there’s two that are delicious. You don’t want to miss reading this book, you will be swept off your feet with the romance, laugh, and have moments of tears. It’s gripping from the first page and you just want to know more! It’s that addictive!
Also there are so many quotes I want to mention but this one is my favorite. “You are worth so much more than you think.” He caresses my skin and shifts closer to me. “Why can’t you see just how incredible you are?”
One last note: These characters will stay with me forever.
I loved this book! Ben and Mik were both such great lead characters and the duel-narrative style meant you really got to know both of them, so you end up rooting for them even more! The beautiful writing and all the little moments and touches between them makes them both feel so real (literally can already picture the film version of them both in my mind)!
Collision is a romance, but also deals with real life issues of abuse in such a sensitive way and shows the lasting impact this can have. The flashback scenes mean certain elements of the characters backstories are revealed slowly, which keeps you guessing throughout - there was one moment right near the end that I gasped out loud!
As the author says in her endnote, everyone knows a Mikaela, even if they don't know they do, and seeing her get her happy ever after is all you want by the end. Already excited for book 2 and love that we have sort of already met the lead character in book 1!
This book had me in an absolute chokehold from start to finish. the journey you go through with Mik and Ben is unreal. They way they heal and grow together is beautiful. The tropes are immaculate: brothers best friend, frenemies to lovers, co-worker, prev trauma ect. All sensitive topics around prev DV is handled with such respect and care. I cannot wait for you guys to finally read this on the 10th June.
I really really enjoyed this book, it was sad yet heartwarming and the romance in it was top notch. I enjoyed reading about the characters and didn’t find anyone of them particularly loathsome. Definitely reccomend for people who also adore brothers best friend romances!
Soooo. Where do I start ? Ahh. Got it. This book was a fucking roller coaster ride. A pretty amazing one thou. Ben and Mik just took me on a wild ride from enemies to lovers and from sickly sweet moments to addictive kisses. Benjamin Haston, dark haired, baby blue eyed devil (think Sebastian Stan) and Mik, my sweet little Mik. This beautiful broken soul just deserved to be loved by Ben and in the end their love broke me and pieced me back together like a freaking puzzle. This T.S Reed’s debut novel and I will inhale every single word she writes from now on.

1:I had so much mixed feelings with this book. The characters and there stories was crazy.
2: I had so much sympathy and love towards Mik for what she went through in the past and I'm so glad she got to heal.
3: The main love interest was something else. This main character always saw him as this hard douche bag because of what happened in the past but in reality he was the kindest softest person who would do anything for her.
4: I wish they got to sort out their issues earlier and that there was more communication between the two characters. A lot of the trouble and drama was because they didn't communicate.
5: Their relationship was everything tho. The way they grew from enemies to lovers. I love a good enemies to lovers trope and he falls first.
6: The ending in my opinion could have been a little stronger. I wanted to see how they grow together after what happened with him being in hospital. I wanted to see how he supported her while she went to better herself and worked on herself.
7: The book does contain Domestic violence and would only recommend reading it if you can handle stuff like that.
I loved the story a lot. It was good and will definitely recommend it for any person who is interested in Brothers best friend stories. The spice in the book is not that much but there is spice.
Thank you for this wonderful book. I was on the edge of my seat to find out what happened in the main characters past and when I found out I was devastated. This is a must read book. All the heart warming moments made me smile bright and made me fall in love with this book and the characters so much more.

Ugh. Such a disappointment. This book was tough for me. I was sure I was gonna hate Ben because he was so arrogant but he quickly became a marshmallow. He was gone for Mik and wasn't shy about letting her know. I liked Mik but I could really get a feel for her character. She was a bit all over the place and flipped her behavior abruptly. I never care for jumps in the timeline and they added almost nothing here. You didn't get a better understanding of any of the characters through them. I don't know why Max was always touching and cuddling Mik. I get that he's gay but it's still weird. Josh was a little too on the nose. He was a little over the top and his abuse being so blatant and public felt off. The author wants us to like Asher, but I didn't. A guy who is constantly objectifying women and has to be told numerous times by Mik that she's not interested is not a character I'm ever gonna root for regardless of how much he donated to charity. My biggest issue with the book though is the ending. It was rushed and felt like a complete cop out. All their problems are magically solved because he's in an accident? That's really bad writing. I thought the bit with Matthew at the end might save it but that was resolved easily and added nothing. Even the epilogue was a waste of time. This had potential and at spots in the book i thought it was gonna win me over but the author dropped the ball.
I received a free ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Oh me, oh my, watch out because Collision is coming in hot! This debut novel was one that I’ve been anticipating for the last several months! It definitely did not disappoint!
The story of Ben and Mikaela, I saw so much in myself with both of them! Not only do I share the same name with Mikaela, but within her personality as well. There was so many moments in this book that make me feel all the emotions! Their relationship was very well paced, and the spice? Immaculate. The breakfast scene, ugh, please I wished I could’ve been Mikaela. I was kept intrigued through every page. There are definite triggers with this book, and it’s clearly stated about the traumas in this book as it is very dark. However, their ending was well written and well deserved and the fact you got to experience this book in both Ben and Mikaela’s point of views, and you witnessed the flashbacks and the present time makes this book that much more valuable to me.
Overall, this book is amazing and I cannot believe this is a debut book and was able to be a part of this opportunity and I cannot wait to see where T.S. Reed goes! I cannot wait for the next book in the series! Even if I didn’t have an ARC book, I’d give this review the same honest answer.
This is T.S.Reeds debut novel and it’s fantastic!!
There is a warning at the start of the book which must be read. If anything in the worming triggers difficult feelings then do not read this book.
Ben is Mikaela’s brothers best friend. He knows he should not have the feelings he has for her but he does. She dislikes him to start with but slowly allows herself to show her true feelings.
Ben and Mikaela’s characters are written so well that they seam like real people. They had me laughing and crying through this novel. Their banter is witty and the 2 of them are funny together great one liners.
The chemistry between them is so incredible that it pulls you into their story. There are kisses, touches and sexy time but it’s a slow burn with them however when they both accept how they feel it gets a little steamier.
The back characters are also important to this story. Mikaela’s brother Jamie looks out for her and tries to protect her and her friend Max is there for her when needed.
The gook deals, with domestic abuse and the effects it has on the survivors.
My favourite quote is “You are worth so much more than you think”.
A super read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
WHY IS THIS BOOK NOT EVERYWHERE ON TIKTOK TWITTER INSTAGRAM OR WHATEVER SOCIAL MEDIA YALL USE IT WAS SO CUTE
I LOVE MIKAELA AND BEN SO MUCH IM GONNA SCREAM
it’s not just a love story, it’s also a story of loss and a healing process. i’m so proud of mikaela, my babygirl. and ben is The perfect man. he’s one of the few book men who aren’t possessive to a point it looks toxic. he just loves mik and would do anything for her happiness, even put himself aside.
i took down a star because the pov changes in the middle of a scene really took me off, i’d like to wonder what the other character is thinking before knowing it. no curiosity here. and i feel like it all just wrapped up so fast. however i’ll let these slide since it’s a debut novel and the story was really nice.
3.75 ⭐️’s. Overall, I think this was a good book. The writing was not as cheesy as I thought it was going to be and it touched on some important topics. Definitely check this book for TW’s before reading. I’m giving it 3.75 because it felt super rushed at some points and I felt like the ending was abrupt and the epilogue needed an epilogue. I probably won’t be reading the other books in this series.
“If you’d have told me a year ago that I would be sitting here with you all, having finally finished college, I think I would have laughed and told you all to fuck off.”
Tell me this doesnt sound like the tiktok women who makes the "Jason, if you would have told we were going to get married..."
Ben ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ . This book is well written. The story line 👌🏾 Slow burn 👌🏾 The characters 👌🏾 There are TW so fyi Took a star off only because I got a annoyed at how the siblings actually felt about Ben at times . Jamie making him feel like shit bring up his mistakes and then M obviously not liking him for all the wrong reasons
I finished this IN A DAY. i started it & finished it the same day. i could not put it down, i was hooked from the first page. I am so obsessed with this book, 5 stars, a million stars. PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️
I liked this book but that's all. The characters were nice and I liked how their relationship progressed but their dislike for each other, mainly from the fmc's side, didn't make a whole lot of sense given what she had based it upon. It wasn't a story that sticks out to me but I did enjoy it.
