Writing has been a passion of mine since, well, forever (my first book was The Day I Ate the Milkyway, a true fourth-grade masterpiece). These days, steamy romance, both dark and funny, gives purpose to my days and nights as I create worlds and characters who defy the imagination. I live in magical Northern California with my own handsome alpha dude, sometimes known as Mr. Mika Lane, and two devilish cats named Chuck and Murray. These three males also defy my imagination from time to time.

A lover of shiny things, I've been known to try new recipes on unsuspecting friends, find hiding places so I can read undisturbed, and spend my last dollar on a plane ticket somewhere.

I'll always promise you a hot, sexy romp and some version of a modern-day happily ever after.

This was certainly one of the books of all time. I'm sure this was fantastic for some people, but it just made me angry. I listened to the audiobook and had more than one moment where I wished I had the written copy so I could double check things that didn't make sense. However, I definitely would not have finished it if it wasn't a commute book. Shout out to the male narrator for absolutely giving it on the moans though, dude could be a porno VA as far as I'm aware. 1 star.

Here is my Spoiler Filled list of complaints, for anyone who wants to listen:
- Roxy is annoying. I understand that she's going through it, but her wishy-washy attitude got old real fast for me. One chapter she says she wouldn't do something, the next she's doing it and saying how it's all she's ever wanted
- Baird, Arrow, and Silas are all very horny and "claim" Roxy REAL fast. There is no discussion, they just all start making out. I'm not super well versed in RH romances but the lack of any type of conversation about the situation makes me wish better for Roxy (and honestly the guys as well. they're just all down to "share"? no questions asked?)
- Baird got called Bard by the narrator and I chuckled about it constantly
- Is her room service friend Lolo or Lola? Because once again, the narrators were no help there
- Roxy's mother tells her that her father embezzled funds and the next chapter they both act like they have no idea what the father has done. I thought I was losing my mind. Did they not establish that he stole? Did I invent that conversation? I certainly wasn't going to re-listen to find out
- Why are the men SO OBSESSED with the gap in Roxy's teeth? They mentioned the gap SO. OFTEN. and how attractive it was and omg she's so beautiful with that gap in her teeth omg the gap is so gorgeous. It's fine to be attracted to your partner, and I have no problem with the female lead being an "unconventional beauty" but you can stop trying to sell me on it now, thanks.
- Arrow having a mental soliloquy about how him sleeping with students doesn't have a power imbalance because he's just morally better than other people that do it while he propositions Roxy in his own home with her car currently being worked on by someone that she had no discussion in?? Kind of bad taste Prof. Menkin. "She's fully consenting and I'm not coercing her so the power imbalance does not exist as though I don't have a financial hold over her mode of transportation and her ability to attend university." No thanks. It's there. Whether or not you want us to believe it isn't.
- The term "nook nook" is used unironically and I actually wish I never had to hear it in my entire life
- The dad being an idiot with money and thus causing the whole conflict is just kind of weird to me? We get a lot of back story and examples of the dad just being fiscally irresponsible yet Roxy is completely blindsided and caught off guard by it interrupting her college tuition payments. She hadn't factored that possibility into her plans AT ALL?
- Roxy has a sister. Don't ask me anything about her, she was only mentioned to be a person that Roxy "didn't hear from" for the entire book
- Baird complains about an entitled student that he hates. We learn more about this individual that's literally just in this one scene to be a shit and then never be seen again than we learn about the female lead's sister.
- Puloma? Buloma? The "popular girl on campus" is there. And she is jealous that Roxy is seeing Arrow because she has feelings for Arrow and they "were gonna start dating before Roxy got in the way". A fact that she is aware of because these professors live on the same street as her sorority house and she witnesses Roxy entering and exiting it.
- The professors' house being "clearly within view of people related to the university" is a point that gets brought up when it's convenient to. Since they all are aware they're technically not supposed to be doing what they are doing, but do it without a care until they do
- Silas being some sort of architectural master that can't place a set of stairs until a pretty girl looks at it for five whole seconds and goes "here maybe?" is so stupid. He has a whole "this gorgeous babe is a GENIUS" moment over it, as though she solved all of the architectural hurdles he's ever encountered in his whole career
- What is Roxy studying in uni? They mention it vaguely and I think it's somehow business related? But couldn't tell you more than that
- A deep cut, but the male narrator delivers his lines like he's Calobi's self-insert from "Our Drawings" (a movie I only the existence of because of that Kurtis Conner video)
- The cover on the audiobook was different and I was not prepared for the dudes modeled on the cover that goodreads gave me

I'm sure I could keep going, but if you made it this far just know I'm not in love with this book (obviously) and the longer I spend thinking about it the more moments I hated come to mind.

Roxy is having issues paying for her college tuition and she needs to pay it if she wants to stay. So goes to talk to her advisor, Baird, about it. Turns out that Baird and his friends Arrow and Silas wants to take care of her and they all fall in love.

A book that is a reverse harem and that is about a student and her teachers just sounds like something made for me so I just had to read this one and i’m glad I did because I really enjoyed this book.

I just really enjoyed the entire set up of this book. While it wasn’t realistic or anything like that, it was just so much fun and I was lost in the book’s world for the entire time I read the book. I just loved the setting of this book and how all of the events unfolded. I was so giddy while reading this book because it just put the biggest smile on my face because I was having so much fun reading this book.

I really enjoyed the easy way in which they got together. It all felt so fluid and they all had really great communication and I really enjoyed that.

I really enjoyed how everyone had point of views. I liked getting to know everyone that way and it made me feel much closer to all of them so I really enjoyed that.

This book was hot. Like very hot. And I loved every seconds of it. That part of the book just really worked for me.

Roxy is down on her luck and at risk of having to drop out of school. Baird is a school advisor and he is one that cares about the students and truly wants to help him, Arrow is a professor and also roommates and friends with Baird. He also wants to do whatever he can to help people. Silas is a professor at the university as well and also roommates with the guys.

The moment each of them cross paths with Roxy they immediate are attracted to her, but they also want to help her and make sure that she is safe and protected. From the start there is chemistry between all of them and it feels like that chemistry continues to grow throughout the course of this story.

There were times the story felt a little over the top, but it was still enjoyable and I ended up reading it all in a single sitting.

If you’re looking for a student/teacher, reverse harem check this one out.

The last and final book of this series focuses on Roxy, Birdie and Jessa best friend. Roxy ends up falling for her advisor Baird, finance professor Arrow, and architect professor Silas, who all just happen to live in the same house.

Serious question, where in the world has a college that basically all the professors are hot because where I went, it was all old and I mean grandparent age professors 😂

Since it’s an ARC I can’t give away spoilers like I did for the previous two books. I honestly thought Paloma was going to cause more drama and try to rat the four of them out. Her dad on the other hand, I can’t believe what he did!

I hope there is more to this series where we know where they are in 10 years, married, babies!

I thought that this was a great book and I really hate to see this series end. I really liked Roxy and how determined she was not to let anything stand in her way of finishing collection. I loved how not only did Roxy’s men, Arrow, Baird, and Silas, want her but they also wanted her to finish school and finish what she worked so hard for. I really enjoyed this book and this whole series and I would recommend it and Ms. Mika as a wonderful author.

When you have worked so hard for something with little help from your parents and then no help is can be down right heartbreaking. Roxy is sweet has worked hard to get herself through college so far, she has paid half of her tuition and her parents were paying half until her third year showing up for class only to realize she isn’t registered due to tuition hasn’t been paid. She has tried calling her parents without an answer and deciding to go and see them just to realize they are in so much trouble because her father stole money from the company he worked for and everything is being seized by the government. Now this is where her three sexy as all get out men come in there is Baird school counselor, Arrow his roommate best friend, and Silas also roommate and best friend the three of them took a liking to Roxy and the need to help her was so strong because they all came from humble beginnings each of them know what it means to struggle to fight for everything and they just want to make it easier for her. The attraction is there from the moment they each meet yet she won’t allow herself to acknowledge because of the guilt she feels for what her father has done will they be able to convince her that isn’t her guilt to carry, will they show her how much they care about her, will she allow herself to let go to feel what they are offering her, and can they find some form of happiness together?

I enjoyed the story. I felt bad for Roxy when she found out that her parents half of her tuition wasn’t paid for. She goes to her financial advisor, Baird Priestly, to see what she might be able to do about her tuition. Roxy goes to her parent’s house and finds that they lost the house, furniture, cars, everything. She quickly goes to her bedroom and packs everything that she can and goes back to the University. Arrow Menken is having lunch with Baird when they flag Roxy down and after meeting her, he feels the same way that Baird feels. They want to help her finish her college education. Roxy ends up meeting Silas who teaches Architecture and is a teacher at the same college. Wow, there are three amazing teachers who's only goal is to help Roxy because they each struggled to finish their education. They each have a job that she can do to earn the money she needs and help the professors at the same time. Enjoyed the storyline and the characters and their support and encouragement for Roxy to finish college. I did enjoy the story and am looking to read more.
I received a book from the author for an honest review.

Mika Lane knows how to keep her readers interested and wanting more. From start to finish this series is awesome. Roxy is Jessa and Bridie's BFF. She's the poor one and doesn't let that stop her. Roxy's life gets hit with a major roadblock, but she's determined to see it through. With the help of 3 Professors she gets back on track. But she struggles with the idea of having 3 Professors in her life. She doesn't believe she deserves them. After some HAF convincing she learns to accept what life gives her. I was sorry to see this series end. I really enjoyed it. I would love to see a book on their group vacation in Hollywood. That would definitely be Hot.

Mika Lane did it again!

I absolutely loved this story! Roxy is down on her luck after a few horrible decisions her father made. This leads her to 3 amazing guys, Silas, Baird, and Arrow. These guys are willing to do whatever they need to keep her with them. And as always, Mika delivers a perfect HEA

This is the third book in the Study Harder series and is Roxy's story. After arriving for her first class of the semester, Roxy finds out she isn't on the class list. When she goes to find out why, she is informed that her tuition isn't paid. She then finds out that she paid her half, but for some unknown reason her parents failed to pay their half. Meeting with her advisor, he informs her that he will help in any way he can and gives her some advice. Roxy, already working several jobs starts picking up more hours and jobs to try and make payments to stay in school so she doesn't have to miss the whole semester. Through her advisor, she meets his roommates who are professors at the college. They all try helping her the best they can. Of course, as they all spend time together, they all start falling for each other. But Roxy, after finding out the mess her dad is in being the reason why her tuition isn't paid is embarrassed and is afraid of hurting her new men. However, they want her despite that and are ready to fight for her no matter what!

Wow!

This book is amazing! The third in the series, this story is about Roxy, Baird, Arrow and Silas. When family issues threaten Roxy’s education, the three men step in to help. This will bring them closer and they will each offer her a job with them to help her along. Feelings will develop during this time and while a meeting with her dad will throw her off a bit, in the end, they will all four find happiness together.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

a fitting end

This book ends the study hard series and what an ending. Roxy exemplifies the saying if it weren’t for bad luck there would be no luck at all. Except where it comes to men. In that area she is given the full treatment by 3 hot academic types. Don’t want to give too much away so you will have to read to find out. Happy reading.

Conquering her future
4.5
For this kind of romance, the theme is original at the start: Roxy is in dire straits when she discovers that her parents have not paid their share of the semester at the university for her studies.
She asks for help and then meets Baird, Arrow and Silas who each in their field will seek to help her.
Her story is tender, definitely steamy, and despite the hardworking girl's financial background, the story doesn't leave an impression that she's being manipulated or used.

Roxy really wanted to continue college but she found out the hard way that due to financial and legal problems, her family couldn’t pay their half. She worked her butt of cleaning hotel rooms and any other job she could find. Not knowing what else to do, she went to her school advisor for ideas. He and his professor friends wanted to help. Things began to happen from there, hot and steamy things. This is the third book in the series. All are different and are well worth reading.

Professors Arrow and Silas and Baird took Roxy in when her world exploded. And I mean it really did shake the foundation she was standing on! Roxy is working to put herself through school. She doesn’t realize her college tuition hasn’t been paid until it’s almost too late. She goes to her advisor to talk through her options. She isn’t expecting Silas, Arrow and Baird to take an interest in her and want to help her. This is a great final installment of this series!!

Book three, book three, how I love this series! The next installment in Mika Lane’s Study Harder series is here. A Sinful Classroom is a student/teacher, reverse harem romance filled with spicy moments and the trifecta of drama.

When life gives you lemonswell you make lemonade. When Roxy’s parents told her they would only pay for half of her school tuition, she made it work, she got a job and she paid her part. School is the one thing she wants more than anything, and hard work is what she's used to anyway. When life knocks her down, and her parents are nowhere to be found, what’s a girl to do?

Enter in the triad; Baird the school counselor and his two best friends and roommates, Arrow and Silas. All three have been smitten by Roxy and want nothing more than to care and protect her. Roxy slowly spends time with each of the men and falls for them, each for their own special ways. When she finally learns why her tuition hasn’t been paid, she pulls away in fear of hurting her new found happiness with them. Can the guys bring Roxy back? Will she fight the fear of possibility or let herself be happy with her men?

I think Roxy is my favorite FM in the series so far. She is funny, sweet and hardworking, she is willing to do anything to finish school and better herself. This author really does have a way with words. I enjoyed A Sinful Classroom, even if it was a little far-fetched at times, nothing wrong with a good book.

Reverse harem is not my favorite but I don't hate it either and since everyone is raving about and loving RH books I thought maybe.... oh boy... 🤦‍♀️ from the three guys the only one who wasn't a creeper was the first one she met (I don't remember his name) because the second one... her car broke down and he was like "do you need a ride?" 🤌 And she was like "yeah sure" 👉👈(she's stupid btw🙄) and instead of asked her, he just took her to HIS PLACE 🚩(they basically just met🚩🚩) and said like "you're sleeping here today" ✌️🚩🚩🚩 without even consulting it with her and the he went to 💦💦 and she heard him and the dumb b... she never thought oh that's weird (because she's a f*cking idiot!).
Next day she wakes up and finds guy #3 downstairs 😐 and she's like "oh he hot too!" (See what I had to deal with? 😒) while he leers at her. 🤮
The fact that guy #2 admits he "looks🚩" and have had "hookups🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩" with his students but he's not a creeper because "they were willing and wanted it to get good grades"🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩... sir... SIR, SIT THE F*CK DOWN IM CALLING THE POLICE!!! 🚔
I know this is a novella and fast paced and stuff but she had no saying in anything with the guys. They just kissed her and groped her and... everything with her and she was just like *stupid mode activated* 👉🥰👈
The fact the the author decided to have a half arse plot on the side with her dad (who's trash btw) 🤦‍♀️ that also didn't work... just... this wasn't it.
