Every story has a beginning. Some just start off bloodier than others.
My story begins with the devil sporting a crooked halo over his horns, heralding pain and punishment in the name of unjust penance.
Nurturing words turned into sour admonishments. Loving touches morphed into colorful bruises.
I became his sacrificial lamb. Offered to his right hand man. Trained and conditioned. Bound.
Or so they thought …
When a chance to escape presents itself, I take it, consequences be damned. With it, a new beginning is forged, one where freedom isn’t a commodity given out sparingly. What could go wrong?
Everything.
A single choice brings about dire consequences. So what happens when everything around me crumbles … again?

Now THIS is a dark romance story that will keep you hooked from page 1! First thing I knew I was on page 1....and the next thing I knew was that it was 4AM and i was 75% through the book. I have not devoured a book like this one in a very long time! I am going to try my best to not spoil a single thing. I recommend that you go in blind and just indulge yourself into the story as I did !
Eden's story begins with a very detailed and heartbreakingly abusive scene... from her own father. From age 5 to age 22, Eden experiences a very tragic upbringing. She decides enough is enough and plans to run away and start a new life. However, what she thinks is a new start, may just be even worse.
If you're looking for spice in this book from the MCs, you won't find it. What you will find, however, is only the beginning story of such a strong willed FMC determined to have a life worth living. As the reader, you will feel Eden's pain through every single page. You will grow extremely attached to her character, and develop a longing to see her reach the light at the end of this dark and twisted tunnel that is her life.
This is a RH dark romance...so aside from her own story, you will also meet Lucifer and Kain. These are two foster brothers who are ultimately on a mission to take down the bad guys and save Eden from EVERYone that is causing her life to be a living hell. Daemon is brother #3, and even though you BARELY see him in this book, you just get that gut feeling that he will be your favorite by the end. Or at least I did. Time will tell. **I do not want to spoil anything so I am leaving main details out!**
I will end with this, I had never heard of this author before now. I am just an ARC reader trying to branch out and read from authors that may not be talked about as much...to find diamonds within all the signup emails that I receive. Bound was all that and more!! I messaged the author right away to let her know that I am very interested in being on her ARC team, and let her know how much emotion I felt while reading this story...and I never do that. B. Livingstone very easily just became a one-click author for me after this story gave me ALL the feels! Writing style 10/10. Plot 10/10. Angst 10/10. Overall Rating 10/10! and I'm itching for the next book to finally watch her relationship within the RH blossom!
Add this to your TBR and be prepared to have your heart ripped out over and over again.....and if you think you will get to slap a bandaid on by the end, think again. If anything, the bandaid is wet and the sticky residue is just...not enough LOL. Trust the process and just devour the first book of Eden's story on June 17th. You won't regret it!
Eden's story is brilliantly explained in this novel by B Livingstone. Eden's dark past of mental, emotional, and physical abuse hits a point that she just can't take any longer for fear that the next "correction" will be her last. So, with very little money, she runs and finds herself in the dark heart of a new life. That's all the spoilers I'm giving, but I will tell you this...I've never read a more captivating tale about one woman's struggle. A lot of what she feels hits you in the heart and soul, even if you've never experienced a dark day. B. Livingstone's Bound is a must read! This slow burn reverse harem is one of the absolute best I've ever read. I am itching for books 2 and 3!!
This book is dark and deep and soul crushing and a fantastic start to this series. Bound is Book 1 in the lost souls trilogy. Eden takes her chance to escape the horror she’s living with everyday, but did she escape or just take a detour? Can the few men she met during her escape to Las Vegas really help her? Or is she just experiencing more pain until her original tormentors find her?
I cannot wait for book two. I’m ready I need to know what happens for Lucifer, Kain, and Eden! And now Daemon!
Wow this book was sooo good! It’s dark gritty raw and so emotional the writing is excellent this is a new to me author and I am blown away by this story! Eden is one of my favorite FMC I’ve read about her story is heartbreaking she has gone through so much my heart hurts for her but her strength is so inspiring and the boys are just everything this is a story I definitely recommend to all my dark romance lovers who love reverse harems like I said it is dark so please check your trigger warnings. I devoured this book and I can’t wait for the next one !
OMG! WTF did I just finish reading? My jaw is literally on the floor right now. This story was definitely a DARK romance. Right from the very first page tears began to fall off my chin, my nerves were frayed, and my stomach ached. It was just one tragic moment after the other and I was consumed by it all. There was no way I could put this book down once I started reading it and even after finishing it my thoughts are still consumed by what transpired on the pages in front of my eyes. This is not a story for anyone with any kind of triggers as it is gut-wrenchingly dark, depraved, violent, bloody and contains so many evil and corrupt characters that you will have a hard time trying to see how this story could possibly have any kind of happy ending.
Eden is one hell of a strong woman. She is the ultimate survivor after going through the unthinkable daily. I mean she literally goes from one harsh brutal moment straight to the next. Eden’s life is cruel, tragic and extremely dark but you realize quickly that there is so much light and love in her underneath all of the pain and anguish and I can’t wait to see her growth as the story progresses. She is definitely a phoenix waiting to rise from the ashes.
The emotions that are poured into this story just oozed off the pages and had me in utter despair. I continually cried throughout each chapter, and I wanted desperately to reach in and rescue Eden from her tragic life. But her saviors (I hope) have arrived, and I can’t wait to see if they can come together and burn the world to ashes around them.
This was a brilliantly written dark romance that is soul crushingly good. It will make you feel all kinds of different emotions and leave you a shaking mess by the end. I can’t wait for the next book to find out if Eden’s life has now taken a turn for the better or if she will be pushed further into the darkness were evil lies waiting for her.
I truly didn't think I could read anything darker than Hunting Adeline. To say I absolutely devoured this book would be a massive understatement.
Reading slump? Who is she?
There are an abundance of TW's in this book. Even though I did read them, I don't think it registered just how dark this book was. So, enter at your own risk and check those before diving in.
Let me just play this scene out for you: It's midnight thirty, I've barely slept this week but cannot put this book down. After two huge plot twists and insanity this poor fmc goes through (sorry, no spoilers), I'm vibing along. The book is getting so twisty turny and I'm READY. The story is chuggin, the plot is really keeping me engaged and then BOOM.
It hits me right smack in the face: EPILOGUE!!!
I need to know what happens. I need to know this outcome like I breathe freakin' air. This book is a massive rollercoaster ride with twists and turns that spit you out and pull you back in. It absolutely obliterated me emotionally. I HAD to go to sleep to digest this book.
Anyways, if you too, want to be obliterated emotionally and mentally, you should read this book. I loved it and I need book two, yesterday even though Bound hasn't released yet.
Wow. Definitely did not see this story playing out the way it did! It is dark! Youve been warned now, that being said, I'm totally invested in this story and need book two yesterday!
Eden has had a rough life for only 22 yrs old. Her father is cruel and punishes her on the regular with "correction" punishments as well as gave her away to be married to someone just as evil. When she has finally had enough, the moment to escape comes and with that - she runs to the closest bus stop to take the first bus out of there.
Literally running for her life, she ends up on a bus heading to the City of Sin. When she arrives, she immediately has a drive to work and make her own way. Only where she ends up is not what she was expecting and slowly her life is turned upside down, yet again. Drugged, raped and abused are her new norm and when the claws are inside her too tight, she has no way to escape.
When Lucifer and Kain meet her, they can't believe the girl who has captured their attention. Their new mission has been to rescue Eden. Can they do this without losing themselves to this girl? At the end, their estranged brother shows up looking for the one girl they have been trying to protect. Will the guys be able to ever make Eden feel safe?
This story line is super sad yet so intriguing that I needed to know what was going to happen next. Being sad, only means we will be getting a crazy HEA in the future books, right??? lol. I couldn't put this book down and was fully engrossed in it from start to end. I'm so looking forward to book 2!
*Overall 5/5 *No heat *Slow Burnnnn *Multiple first person POV *LOTS of triggers *Ends on mild cliffhanger
Okay so the author says slow burn and I was like UGHHHH okay it sound bomb ass fuck so I'll read it. Dont judge me I'm not a slow burn type of bitch.
This book has NOT ONE sex scene in it okay. I was ENTHRALLED I couldn't stop. I literally at one point looked at how far I was cause I was enjoying it so much and was like 75%!!! Noone has fucked like what is happening to me. So while the author here can say slow burn on the spice level.
It is fast burn in the story area. I just needed to know what happened next and how the FMC was going to get out of the situiation she got herself into. I wont go into much detail here cause I try to avoid spoilers if I can.
The FMC escpapes one abuser to be manipulated into the hands of another. Their only goal is to break her until she wants to return to her previous abuser. However some devils in shining armor come in and start devising a plan to rescue her.
Hang onto your heart, because this story will put it through the wringer. Eden has been abused for most of her life, and when she finally thinks she has escaped and things may be looking up…well, yeah, you’ll just have to read the story. Eden’s story drew me in right from the start. She is fierce, but she also goes through a lot and you get to see her dark moments, but also me moments of hope. The guys are intriguing and I can’t wait to see how their relationships grow as this series goes on. This is a slow burn RH. I love how the guys are caring and protective, and letting the relationship develop at her pace. The story does end with a new twist, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
This story is dark and if you have triggers, I would definitely check out the warnings.
Bound is book #1 in the Lost Soul trilogy. Its a DARK reverse harem. Make sure to check the trigger warning!!!
This book is DARK!!! The emotions this book will make you feel, wow i have no words.
Edens life has been nothing but pain since she was 5 years old. She is now 22 and after a brutal "correction" from her father, she cant take it anymore and runs away. She makes it to Las Vegas, but things dont get better, they get worse. Her only bright spots are Lucifer and Kain.
Bound will have you glued to the pages!!! Its a heart breaking, gut wrenching, dark, and twisted story. I can't wait for book 2!!! After that cliffhanger, I NEED to know what happens!!! I can't wait to see who else is in the harem and i look forward to seeing Eden grow stronger.
How do you live your life when all of your choices are taken from you. Eden’s father took her choices every day that she lived with him, even when she defied him.
Eden’s journey when she left her father was also followed by impossible choices. Life isn’t always kind, but sometimes happy circumstances put the right people into your path to help. That’s what I’m reminded of in Bound. They have a hard road ahead, and I can’t wait for the next book!
Please check the TW as there are some difficult concepts that come up.
Bound is book one of the Lost Soul Trilogy and can’t be read as a standalone. I’m going to warn you now that this book is dark! Eden’s life is tragic from age five to her current age of twenty-two! She ends up running from her father after enduring too much of his abuse. Her story is heartbreaking, traumatic and very dark! This book had me captivated from the first page and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next! I can’t wait for book two and see where Eden’s relationship with Lucifer and Kain go and see who else ends up in her harem!
Bound is a captivating, heart wrenching read! Eden escapes from an abusive home to only end up in another abusive situation and her only hope lies with two brothers, Kain and Lucifer to save her. Eden’s story is quite heartbreaking. She really is a survivor. I really hope Kain and Lucifer are able to keep her safe. I definitely can’t wait to see what happens next!
This was a quick, very dark and spicy romance. I absolutely loved it but if you get triggered easily you might want to look at trigger warnings. I loved everything about this book I love the 3 main characters Eden, Lucifer and Kain. The spice in this book was *chefs kiss*.I highly reccomend reading this one!
Dark, Terrifying, and Unforgettable For those who want a story that will chill you to the bone, make you fear for the character, and help you see a lifestyle you will never live, this is a book for you. I've always enjoyed books like this because they teach me so much about a world I will never be involved in if possible, and even though the story makes my heart ache so much for our MC, I still have hope for her and can't wait to read the rest of her journey. Eden runs away from an abusive home, uses every penny she has to get across the country, as far from her family as possible, only for the impossible to happen. She's pulled right back into the world she left with new and old players alike. Her only salvation are the men who've become head over heels for her, but can they achieve the impossible and take down an entire underworld of people to save just one girl? We'll find out in future books, and I can't wait!
Wow. Words are so hard for me to express what this book made me feel. First this story is dark. Beyond dark. If you have any feeling that any of the TW given may be too much for you, don't start reading. I have no triggers but this book made me feel every depraved word written in them. Brilliantly written, the author writes a story of a poor girl escaping a life of mental, physical and emotional abuse to the extent of hanging by a thread. She is absolutely a fighter and probably the strongest heroine I've read in any book. I don't want to wait for September to find out what happens but it will be worth every second.
I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This is book one in the Lost Soul Trilogy. This is a very dark , reverse harem romance with multiple triggers, please read author note before reading this book. Eden is 22 and has been abused by her father and his right hand man for years. Living on a compound with him, she has nowhere to hide, and bears their abuse on a daily basis. One night when she has had enough, being completely broken she sneaks off and catches a bus across country. She finds herself working as a dancer at club, where the owner is to keep her safe. What she thought she was getting into is anything but. She meets brothers Lucifer, Kain and Damon while she works at this club. She finds her only solace in these brothers. It is up to them to help her, but they don’t even know the past she’s running from. This book was supercharged from the first chapter. I love dark, and this was DARK. Some parts difficult to read. I instantly felt a connection with Eden, feeling so badly for her and all she has and is enduring. I can’t even begin to imagine the he** she is walking on Earth. The author did an incredible job making you feel what it’s like living in Eden’s brain, the fear instilled in her is palpable. I love the brothers, they are everything you could ask for in male heroines. This book is only the beginning of their story , and I can’t wait to get more of it and get answers ! I really loved this book, and definitely recommend if you are into this genre!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Told in multiple POVs which really allowed for a better understanding as the story unfolded, Bound started off during what you’d imagine to be the lowest point of Eden’s life, and when you thought things were looking up… they got worse. This book is dark, emotional and could be incredibly triggering. Eden lives through what no person should ever live through. She is broken down while having her existence torn apart piece by piece but something tells me she’s gonna come out on top in the end. I wasn’t expecting to like this book as much as I did. B. depicts very traumatic abuse at the hands of multiple people in a way that allows you to understand without being wholly immersed in every detail, which I can appreciate. I think a lot of times abuse/SA is written in ways that are a lot harder to digest.
While this is a dark romance, it’s the first book in a trilogy, and is mainly depicting Eden’s struggles with little sprinkles of hope woven in courtesy of Lucifer, Kain and even dear sweet ol’ Edward. There’s not a lot of romance to be had (yet) but I’m super invested in Eden’s happy ending. I have a feeling there’s more strife to be faced (based upon that cliffhanger which could’ve been so much worse so I appreciate you not absolutely ruining me for the next few months, B.) but I know ultimately Eden’s fierce protectors will stop at nothing to make sure she sees her HEA.
As all other reviewers have said, this is an extremely dark story. Please read all trigger warnings listed in this book, because you’re going to be dealing with many instances of, and references to, physical and emotional abuse, rape, drug abuse and withdrawal, self harm, and PTSD, to name several. This being said, I read this book straight through, and I cried half of the time. Every author’s goal is to emotionally attach the reader to the characters, and B. Livingstone does this. I felt Eden’s soul-crushing hopelessness at times. She leaves her abusive father and fiancé, hoping to escape that horrible situation, only to find herself in an equally horrific- possibly worse- environment where she works. B. Livingstone has written a heart-wrenching, extremely dark and violent story, with a flawless story arc. If you are looking for spice in this book, it will not be there, because you have to watch Eden be almost completely broken. She will need to rebuild herself with the help of romantic interests, Lucifer and Kain, before the romance is going to occur. We’ll probably see that in the second book of this series. And I can not wait to read the next book! I wish I could give this more than five starts, because this book definitely needs more praise.
I'll start with this: It's intense. It's been long time since I've read a book that made me feel the type of anxiety I felt while reading this. With every turn of the page, I was left wondering "is this when shit hits the fan again?"...
This story follows Eden and her journey from one terrible situation to the next. My heart honestly broke for her over and over again. Thankfully, her encounter with the sweetest older gentleman helps change her fate without her even knowing it. This story is DARK but it needed to be told. I know there are so many people out there that can relate to some part of this book. My heart goes out to those people.
I think B. Livingstone did a great job representing all the feelings and emotions that come with a story like this. This book isn't for everyone, and that's okay. But I do think if you can handle the disturbing subject matters, it is a great story that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster and provide you with some insight on the struggles of others.
Wow is this book dark! But if you love dark romance, it is sooo good! I got lost in the story and finished it in just a few hours. I couldn’t put it down, I needed more, more, more! Unfortunately, the next one won’t be out for a bit, but I will be impatiently waiting because what a way to end it! Check all the trigger warnings!! I can’t reiterate this enough, there are a lot, and you need to be prepared going into it.
It is a SLOW BURN, there are no smexy times with her men yet. Honestly, I didn’t really miss it, I was so lost in the story. It would have felt very wrong with everything going on. Most of this first book is about her life, her past/current abuse, then she runs, only to find herself in the arms of someone just as terrible, if not more so. Like I said, DARK. It takes a strong character to survive what she has without giving up. She meets the guys early on in the story, but they don’t really become part of the story until much later.
Protect your heart, this will break it and spit it out, it’s super emotional to read about all the horrors that happen to her. Eden is strong, and fierce, to be able to live with that much pain, and have all of your choices taken away from you, I mean, wow.
If you’re a dark romance fan, you are going to want to read this, personally, I loved it, it was raw and gritty, it was real, and it gives some insight into the underbelly of society. Give it a chance, just be prepared! It was well written, the characters are raw and reeling, and the worldbuilding just takes you along for the ride with Eden.
Two and a half stars rounded up. Might possibly reread, but on book 2 and losing steam. It feels like a mild copy of all those dark romances that start the way this started.
Things to know: -there is no romance yet. And believe me, that’s a good thing given the state of the FMC -even though the romance is not “pitch black” (wouldn’t even call the romance dark), the FMC’s story is *absolutely* pitch-black. I had to skip several graphic torture and rape scenes. This is NOT for the faint of heart -the writing is realllll rough. There is absolutely no burn to the romance we know is coming; it’s not even like a fast-burn. It’s like the two guys see her and then all of a sudden they’re in a relationship. There’s no setup and it does feel awkward. Book 2 might help with that. -a lot of this book is really geared towards shock value
Did I enjoy it? Meh. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t good. I’ve read this story a million times before, but unfortunately didn’t enjoy the way this one came together.
You know a book is good when you stay up until 3am to keep reading it!
This is the first book in the Lost Soul Trilogy and I already know this trilogy has huge potential to be a fav of mine! It’s a DARK (v heavy ⚠️ ), gut wrenching, twisty, slowwww burn reverse harem. I will say, even though there is no spice in this first book I still ate up every second of it!
Our FMC, Eden, escapes from her abusive and deranged father only to land directly in the hands of another abuser, one even more horrendous than the first. Her only source of reprive from the day to day hell she is living through are her guys, Kain & Lucifer. Foster sons of the sweet little old man she bonded with on her escape journey. Will they be able to keep their promise to rescue her before someone gets killed? Or even worse, before her father comes to take back what he thinks is rightfully his.
That cliff hanger tho 👀 I have high hopes that book 2 will be even better! I’m so anxious to find out what will happen next in Eden’s journey.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

You will need to heed the warnings in the beginning of this book before diving in to it. It will contain triggers for some readers. Bound is the first book in the Lost Soul Trilogy and it is a dark slow burn of a read. Eden in a girl living in a nightmare every single day of her life. When she ha s the chance to escape, she takes it and doesn't look back. She escapes to Las Vegas and is depending on the men she met while escaping to save her. But will they? This book is so hard to review because I fell like anything you say about the story is going to be a spoiler. I liked this book. It is dark and very emotional and will had you one the edge of your seat at times.
I literally didn't want to put this book down. Absolutely hooked from the very beginning. Eden's story tore me apart. I had tears in my eyes in the scene where she first met Kain and Lucifer at the Bus Depot. I'm so angry at the situation she found herself in once she lands in Vegas. Let's start at the beginning though. Eden is running away from an abusive household and Vegas is her destination. Unfortunately Sin City wasn't all that welcoming to her either. She finds herself at a well known strip club and is forced into a contract that she couldn't quite grasp in comprehension. Now she's stuck. But little does she know, those two guys she met super briefly will be her knights in shining armor. There is so much plotline to this that I couldn't bear to put the book down. Too many good characters developed along the way that I'm curious to their stories as well. I am awaiting anxiously for book 2.
This book is dark, no question about that. It’s interesting & pretty f’d up. Slow burn so there’s no spice or heavy romance yet. A lot of the plot is so disturbing because it’s the reality for some people who find themselves in such a situation.
I don’t want to say too much because it’ll spoil the plot.
I really liked the multiple POV.. not only from the FMC and MMCs who are going to be a part of her harem.. but also POV chapters from the villians. It gives you direct insight to how terrible these people are.
My main hold up was the progression of the relationship with the guys… they have little dialogue together on page other than them plotting to get her out of her terrible situation.. and then later they seem to have this deep connection. I think more dialogue would’ve made that deep connection more believable.
I will def be reading the next book & im excited to see where it goes!
“You’re ours now, aren’t you? Because you most definitely own us.”

This is a dark romance. Please read the TW before attempting to read.
Ok, this book pulled me in from page one. I found it really hard to put the book down. If you’ve read Pageant or the WITSEC series, then you’ll love this story too.
Now, this is book one of the series, so we’re left on a cliffhanger, and a lot of this book was setting up for the main action to take place in the next book. This is not to say this book wasn’t action packed because it was. Poor, broken Eden went through more than she should’ve in this book. What I mean is we didn’t get a lot of interaction between Eden and her harem until towards the end of the book. And of course, when her men stepped up, the action really took off in the story. And I have so many questions about so many things. B. Livingstone really teased us with this book. I need book 2 immediately because I think it’ll hold the answers to most of my questions. Plus I get more time with my babies: Eden, Lucifer, Kain, Edward, and even Harley.
If you’re looking for a dark romance that involves a severely troubled woman and fierce, protective alphas, the go ahead and add Bound to your TBR!!
