Just when Killian and I are planning our vacation, Cupid strikes Moonshadow Bay. But it's not exactly love at first sight for the victims, and we at Conjure Ink have our hands full trying to find out what's going on.

A member of the town begins attacking peeps, shooting them with arrows that are enchanted by a love potion. Not only are the victims hurt, but they fall hopelessly in love with the first person who crosses their path. Now, we must find out who the attacker is, why they're doing this, and put a stop to it before I can hope to head off on my vacation with my own beloved.

It’s February in Moonshadow Bay, hearts and roses are in the air as Valentine’s comes closer, Killian and January are planning a short getaway for the holiday but before they can leave, a mysterious cupid is running around shooting people with a love potion enchanted arrow and Conjure Ink is tasked to figure out why a restaurant is being plagued with ghostly encounters that are turning dangerous. With everything happening in Moonshadow Bay, will January and Killian be able to get to their vacation in time or worse, will danger heat up to the point someone is in danger for real?

WEAVER’S WEB delivers a lovely addition to the Moonshadow Bay series and though part of the story involves a novella that was part of a now defunct anthology, the author does a great job expanding the novella story and fleshing out the storyline of that to include trouble in Moonshadow Bay. I have to admit this series and genre (Paranormal Women’s fiction) is a treat to read and one I just can’t get enough of. The author does a bang-up job capturing the characters perfectly, lets them take the lead as they move through the twists and turns of the story and in the process keep the reader glued to the pages till the very end. Even though I read a novella version of the WEAVER’S WEB, the additional fleshed out story captured my attention right from the beginning. It’s a fast paced, wild ride from start to finish and one I look forward rereading again in the future. I don’t want to give away any spoilers to the book and what happens in it.

If you read the Aged to Perfection novella of WEAVER’S WEB, then you get half the story here, but I highly recommend reading this expanded story as it includes two cases in Moonshadow Bay that had me guessing what was going on. It was fun, entertaining and at times had me on the edge of my seat as January and the Conjure Ink gang try to figure out how to stop these two cases from continuing. I really enjoy seeing how the characters continue to grow and expand as the series progresses. If you haven’t tried Ms. Galenorn’s Moonshadow Bay series, I highly recommend that you start right from the beginning. Its fun, enjoyable and full of unique and at times quirky characters that will steal your heart. I can’t wait to see where she continues to go as January and the rest of the characters in Moonshadow Bay go in future books.

In this sixth installment in the Moonshadow Bay series, January and Killian are preparing for a much-needed romantic getaway, but before they can leave, a strange set of circumstances befalls the town. Certain residents have been shot with poisoned arrows, and while these shots aren’t fatal, they cause extreme obsession in victims, turning them into stalkers. January is determined to get to the bottom of this, especially when someone close to her is hit by one of these arrows.

In the meantime, Conjure Inc. is investigating a possible haunting at a local business, and it’s not long before the team begins to wonder if they might be in over their heads this time. This ghost isn’t at all what they’re used to, causing January and the gang to reach deep within themselves to bring forth the necessary power. There were a few times I found myself wondering if something bad was about to happen, something that would change the course of January’s life.

Like the previous books in the series, Weaver’s web is a quick read that is sure to delight fans from start to finish. However, if you’re not in the mood for some darkness, you might want to hold off on this one until you’re in a headspace that’s more conducive to the novel’s themes. You won’t find anything overly graphic here, but some of what January encounters is intense and could be triggering to some readers.

I’m a huge fan of the relationship between January and Killian, and that relationship definitely gets more page time in this installment than in some of the prior books. I love watching them grow as a couple. I especially love the way Killian respects January’s boundaries. He doesn’t pressure her into anything she’s not 100% ready for, and it’s for this reason he’s fast becoming one of my favorite of this author’s heroes.
And, get ready for some steam. We see a bit more sex on the page than we have in the last few books, and I’m definitely not disappointed.

Whenever I finish a Yasmine Galenorn book, I’m immediately ready for the next one in the series, and this holds true for Weaver’s Web. Those darker themes I mentioned earlier just might open the door to some new adventures for January, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for her.

And …. for the win

First, this was a good character growth book. January and Killian are learning more about one another. They are growing as not only lovers but as working partners.

Second, I was disappointed that we did get more of the secondary characters.

Third, bravo for Thad telling January to back off.

4.25 stars. 1The return to Moonshadow Bay comes at the perfect time of year for love as Yasmine Galenorn takes her lovers on a romantic getaway that quickly goes awry, but what would you expect from a budding ghost whisperer and her sexy wolf lover. This story picks up a little after the last story has ended but there is a bit more of a break than normal, which gives January and her team a bit of a break before the craziness picks up again. But alas the calm never lasts in Moonshadow Bay and when a strange string of bow attacks send people into love frenzies around town, January and her friends soon find themselves with a new and deadly opponent. But the hits keep coming with their newest client and the ghosts in the basement that are mucking up their lives. And even when they finally manage to get those catastrophes in hand, leaving Killian and January with the free time for a romantic getaway, they soon find themselves with an even more deadly situation that could lead to catastrophe if not handled extremely carefully. I enjoyed this story, despite all the crazy storylines and the push and pull between plots. January and Killian’s love just seems to be growing, despite her fears keeping her from taking that final step into commitment and her magic is growing and growing. I am loving watching her finally come into her own as both a witch and a woman now that she has sloughed off her past life. The series will continue to become convoluted (and I hear there is to be another spin-off as well for the third of the shadow cities) as characters come and go in January’s life teaching her lessons and allowing her to grow and develop into the woman she was always meant to be. I am looking forward to whatever story comes next and I can’t wait to see when/if Killian finally convinces her to take his ring and become his mate. Yasmine never lets me down in the end, even if at time the story gets a little crazy and I never regret picking up a book in any of her series, Moonshadow Bay being no exception.

This sixth book in this series was a great read! So much was happening, but there was never any dull moment at all.

January and Killian have planned a romantic Valentine's vacation, but before they can get away, strange things start happening in Moonshadow Bay. The first is a twisted sort of Cupid, shooting arrows at people who then become obsessed with others. Although January wants to find out what is happening here, it's not until someone close to her becomes the latest victim, that she gets other family members involved!

The next event seems to be a standard sort of haunting - a fairly typical job for January through her work at Conjure Ink, but the story behind these hauntings were pretty gruesome, but excellently executed! I totally understood why the ghosts were doing what they were doing and was so glad that January could help them out as well.

And the final event happened during January and Killian's vacation, which they stumbled on to by complete accident, but January being her usual self, couldn't do anything but help those in need.

I loved how all these events were intricately woven together - it certainly didn't feel like 3 separate stories or events. Everything linked up and made perfect sense. January is a great character to read about - she's fun, strong minded and really has found herself now after all those years being with a man who treated her no better than a rug on which to wipe his feet. My only wish now is for her to forget all about him, not to keep bringing him up and not to let him remind her any more about her unhappy past. Time now to focus on the future with Killian!

I received a copy of this book from the author but this review is my own, honest one!

Weaver's Web Entangles You With Thrills!

Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2022

I received this book as a gift, with no strings attached. I'm providing a fair and honest review.
"Weaver's Web," by Yasmine Galenorn, is the 6th book in the incredible Moonshadow Bay series by Yasmine Galenorn , and oh, you don't want to miss out on this book.
January and Killian try to have a romantic weekend to get away from it all, but a crazy Cupid throws a wrench into their plans.
Also, on the Conjure Ink, front, January and her team investigate a haunted cafe where something truly diabolical and terrifying is happening.
With help from her aunt Teran, grandmother Rowan, and of course the team, they uncover the awful truth of the Starling Cafe .
Thrills? Check. Romance? Check. Adorable cats? Check. Witches? A!so check.
Loved this book... Read it in one sitting, because it is that good.
Ms. Galenorn creates worlds that you feel a part of, as if you are a character. Very hard to accomplish for a writer , but Ms. Galenorn does it with ease, and I'm ever so grateful for her skill and brilliance.

First, I’m so glad that Yasmine went ahead and took the novella from a now defunct anthology and expanded it and fleshed it out more to make it into this book.

It’s Valentine’s in Moonshadow Bay and January and Killian are trying to take a little vacation. Moonshadow Bay has other plans. So what does that mean for the inhabitants of Moonshadow Bay? Somebody has decided to play Cupid. They’re running amok shooting people with arrows. It’s up to January and her friends to solve the mystery of who or what Cupid is. January and Killian manage to solve that mystery only to be confronted with a whole new mystery while on their vacation. The B&B owner’s sister has gone missing without a trace. What happened to her? January and Killian with the help of a friendly ghost are the ones to finally solve the mystery of what happened to the owner of the B&B’s sister. Boy were they surprised to learn what really happened to the sister.

I enjoyed this book as I love this series. It’s well written and easy to get lost in this world. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of this series.

Weaver's Web has so much in it.. Ghosts, Vampires, Witch's and Wolves. So much fun wrapped up in one book. Conjure Ink has a case that January must solve. This is just the first part of the fun. The second is when Killian takes January on a romantic getaway for Valentine's Day, things dont go quite as planned. I love the B&B Killian and January stay at. It sounds so cozy and inviting. Between the hot chocolate and cookies I would be sold. But as January is at the B&B she learns many interesting facts about the owners and what was supposed to be a romantic weekend.... still has the romance but January can't help herself and she has to step in to solve the mystery of one of the inn keepers.

This is a great book. The characters and storyline are so well planned and thought out. I enjoyed reading.

I was given an Advanced Reader's Copy as a gift from the author without obligation. This is an honest review. Ok, where do I even start.. this was such an amazing book. We have a new case for Conjure Ink, and a mysterious "Cupid" who hits close to home, and then January and Killian go on a romantic get away. The new case is at a new bistro in town, and let's just say it had a colorful history. January and the crew have to learn it's past to help get rid of the this problem. Then on top of that. January is asked to help with a "Cupid" running around shooting people with arrows. And someone close to her get into the way. After dealing with both of those, anyone would need a break. And man did Killian plan the perfect get away, but January can't resist her calling and helps in a mystery at the B & B they're staying at. It's a great read, full of adventure and I couldn't put it down. Now I'll have to patiently (not really patiently) wait for the next installment of this series.

The 6 book in this amazing series with the brave January Jaxon, really feels like it’s 2 adventures in one because it’s so packed full of action! The first mystery involves a crazy “Cupid” and an attack too close to home. Then there is the love get-away vacation to turns into something so much more! Be prepared to plan your day around reading this one because you definitely won’t want to put it down! ( I was up til 2am but totally worth it lol) I love how Ms. Galenorn creates worlds with characters that I feel like are old friends; January is definitely one of those characters! She creates fantasy worlds that feel so realistic, Yasmine knows how to make magic come alive!! I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. A great read, 2 stories in one. Arc review

Welcome back to Moonshadow Bay, where January Jaxson is facing battles on multiple fronts. A case with a gruesome background, and strange happenings in town that require her aid. It felt like this story was gearing up for a new arc for January. The bad guys who hate the current status quo of the magical towns are on the loom as ever, and things are heating up.
Meanwhile our heroine is just trying to live her best life, and find love and happiness where she can. And I'm here for it.

And the story managed to work in the previous novella that was found in Aged to Perfection. So if you were unable to pick it up. You can now see what happened on their romantic getaway.

Weavers Web… welcome back to Moonshadow Bay! It’s Valentines Day and January and Killian are in the mood for a romantic getaway… but life tries to get in the way. From a haunted Bistro, to a deranged Cupid wannabe January and Conjecture Ink are busy and it isn’t all hearts and roses.

I am loving The Moonshadow Bay series it is a build on one of Yasmine’s anthologies. Mrs. Galenorn is so talented at creating a vibrant world with thriving characters.

All in all book 6 of the series is amazing this fluid movement from start to finish, once I started I couldn’t stop

Moonshadow Bay is really getting dangerous! Just when January and Killian are about to have a romantic getaway, someone decides to play Cupid complete with arrows.
Another great book in this awesome series! Loving how January is becoming more accustomed to her powers and what she can do.
So glad January and Killian have time away but even then there's a mystery to solve. They solve it together and salvage their getaway. Seems these things follow January no matter what. Her heart wants to help so she does her thing to make it right.

Another great book by Yasmine Galenorn. This book contains the short story that was in the Aged to Perfection anthology but it has been expanded to include an exciting new case. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was very entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I finished reading it in one sitting. My favorite part is when Killian and January go to Nimah Rock I am very excited for the next book in the series. I highly recommend this to everyone that loves a great story.

January and Killian are ready for some romantic alone time but nothing seems to be going to plan. There’s arrows coated in a dangerous love potion, ghosts, and so much more.

Lots going on in Moonshadow Bay

So much fun! Ms. Galenorn is at her best here with a blend of complex supernatural happenings and warm relationships between the characters.
I love watching interactions between the characters and the many different ways they work together. It gives me a little bit of hope for humankind, especially right now and many of us are still so isolated from one another.
Plus, this book has cute animals and delicious sounding food.
Escapist reading and its best.

Another great adventure

No one likes when their plans get ruined but January takes the cake on how many interruptions can happen before a romantic getaway. Between ghosts, arrows, and a missing person nothing was going right. Instead of dwelling January drank her mocha and got to work, the caffine I am certain was much needed. This was a great read and I am loving this series. Hopefully we will continue to get more!

Nice addition to the series.

Although this is a good follow on in the series the final few chapters felt rushed and too contrived. Without revealing the complete story line the relatives of Val Slater make an appearance. It is this final section that let the whole book down. Have to wait and see what impact the actions of January and Killian have on their comfortable life together, will there be any blow out or just a thank you, book 7 should let us know.

This was a fantastic read that I had to finish in one sitting. It moves along at a pace which is perfect for the story and speed up and down as needed. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you know them personally and you cant help but love them. You want to be there for them no matter what happens. This book needs to be read, there is no doubt about it.

Perfectly enhanced

I read this book, or the last part of it, when it was a novella published in an anthology earlier this year.

With this new version, the author added two parts to the story, making it seamlessly flow into another fabulous Moonshadow Bay novel.

A splendid, gripping, amazing read, one that I couldn’t put down until I was finished.

Killian and January ae spending Valentine's Day at Heart’s End Bed and Breakfast on Nimah Rock. Throughout their stay they meet some interesting people including the owner and the ghost of the original owner. Some interesting things happen that I don’t want to spoil, but I can say you will enjoy reading this novella.

Love Moonshadow Bay

All small towns have their quirks......and ghosts....nasty and helpful..... Imps set on harmful intent and others just trustworthy enough so long as its beneficial to them. All this and more runs through January's current adventure with her wolfie boyfriend and her paranormal co-workers. Always look forward to a visit to Moonshadow Bay.

As always, the Moonshadow Bay folks do not disappoint. January and Killian are perfect together, both as cohorts and lovers. But lawd, when is she going to say yes? I was hoping Valentine's Day would do it. I mean, Killian is yummy!
Yasmine's way of making her characters spring to life through the written word is wonderful. Keep 'em coming, lady!
