I have adored Rokan throughout all the other stories and I am so happy that he has finally got his own tale now. I love this series, there is is just something about the writing that pulls you in. It feels very much like it should be a fairy tale, there is just that quality to it. Anyway I digress, well only a bit. Rokan has known since the start that Emma is his Ashaya but he is also very aware of what she and the other human females have been through. Emma seeming to struggle with it far more than the others, possibly as they have mates who bring them a sense of safety and peace. He has embarked on the plan that even if he cannot make her his mate then he will be a friend to her, he will always be there and he will always protect her. There are some things though that he just cannot help doing, such as watching over her, layering his scent on her items since humans can't really tell, taking note of how she reacts to things and just generally being there although in some cases in a very sneaky but totally endearing way. Emma for her part cannot quite yet reconcile life without an A'kai master. The trauma is deep and she has no soulmate to comfort her, not that she believes she could cope with one anyway. She was feeling stronger though and was taking baby steps to integrate herself into her new life although she really goes out preferring to stay indoors and using her botany to hide away from most everyone. One person who she feels safe with is Rokan, he is a huge Mosauran warrior and someone who seems to get on with everyone else, so she feels no pressure and it is definitely helping her to have at least one friend she can always count on. She doesn't feel she can be as close to the other women given that they all have partners, she feels like she is sort of intruding. She still feels the shadow of what was before though and it is not helped by the fact that just recently some more women have been saved but they have A'kai soulmates with them. Now there is no getting away from them. When Rokan goes out and is hurt however she is determined to face fer fears and protect him to her meagre ability, like he has her. Could she feel more for him that she admits?

I love the dynamic of the couple and it had me laughing throughout the book. You can't go wrong with this series.

Loving this ice world series! A cold and unforgiving world full of dangerous creatures from earth’s myths, legends and fairy tails! A new ship full of vile(vampire) aliens with a bunch of human/Terran captives crashes onto the planet. One by one the humans are rounded up and rescued from their captors and claimed as mates by the several species of enemy aliens that are trapped (previously crashed due to a nearby unstable wormhole) on this ice planet. Each keep to themselves, but the Terran females are slowly forcing them to work together to find all their friends and then to combine resources to get them all off of this cold icy planet!

I hope Jessica gets back to this world soon!
This ends with a tease to at least 2 more stories and I want everyone to get home. That is without the “evil”A’kai. We also see more of the Kitsune introduced in another series.
This story sees the good guys altogether continuing their mission to save all the Terrains from the A’Kai and from the harsh planet.

Ooooh the miscommunication in this one hurt so gooood!
And Emma starts all broken and weak then evolves beautifully into a confident character.
I can't believe this story has less than 200 pages, because it's so full of action, tension and sweetness.
I love it!

Taking a Chance on Love . . .
Rokan is a Mosauran dragon shifter warrior who rescued human Emma and others. He makes sure to spend time with her, giving her friendship and protection as the group lives together on the icy planet. Rokan believes Emma is his fated mate, but he is hesitant to ask for more in case she needs time to recover from her horrible experience as a prisoner of the A’kai. But even Emma is feeling a deeper attraction toward him. Neither wants to jeopardize their friendship. But is this feeling one-sided? Or will one of them finally speak up?
It is thoughtful and kind to think of another’s feelings before moving forward into the future. However, communication is required. Just ask if she is ready to care for another, if only to get her realizing he is interested. He has already shown her his gentle ways. Will she take a chance on finding love? (I know I would definitely be ready to have a protective dragon shifter by my side, especially after what she went through. And he has proven himself by his consistent actions, which should give her a hint of a hopeful outcome for that HEA.)

Rokan knew the minute he saw Emma being attacked by the A'kai that she was his destined mate. He rescued her and brought her back to the mountain complex. Seeing how much she has suffered, Rokan is giving her time to recover. He watches over her in many ways seen and unseen. He is always there when she needs help or distraction. He just wants to learn human ways to win her attention. He even asks her to teach him how to kiss so he can impress his female.

This story focuses on Rokan, a Mosauran dragon shifter warrior, and Emma, a human, with whom he shares a friendship with as part of a group of aliens trying to survive on an icy planet. Rokan senses that Emma is his fated mate, though he lets her think of him only as a friend trying to help her through the trauma that she experienced while a prisoner at the A’kai camp. Meanwhile Emma feels drawn to Rokan too. Both are loathe to push for more than friendship, thinking that the other is not interested, though as they get to know one another better, they'll eventually have to admit the truth to one another. The sex is hot and intense between these two. Enjoyed the storyline, as well as the characters - loving the books in the Ice World Warriors the series. Helpful to read the books in order to get the overall action, story and other characters' stories.

I absolutely love the world and characters of Ice World Warriors. I'm so excited every time the series gets a new book. This one was no exception. Great world building and wonderful characters. Mosauran dragonshifting warrior Rokan and Terran Emma are close friends. She is also his fated mate, but he has not told her so because she was still healing from the trauma she suffered during her time enslaved and imprisoned by the A'kai. She needed a friend more than she needed a mate. But as much as he longs for her, he fears her rejection. Emma falls for Rokan more and more each day, but believes he deserves someone better than her, who is still damaged and fearful of the A'kai. I really enjoyed their friends-to-lovers relationship. And it was wonderful seeing supporting characters from previous books. I can't wait until the next book in this series. 5 stars.

This is the first book I've read in this series, and I loved Romance sense of humor, compassion, and recognition not just of what Emma has already been through, but what she doesn't even realize she's managing to do each day. Paired with Emma, the woman who has no idea how compassionate she is, or how good a friend, they make for a wonderful set of characters to spend several hours with as they try to move from friendship to something more.

1. Will their be more books in this world, maybe not with this same series but in a different series.
2. Will anyone ever figure out where they have gone? It just seems kind of sad that they all have to leave their lives behind and never see the people they left again.
3. If they are found will they choose to colonize the planet and make it a part of the galaxy as an inhabited planet?
4. If no to 3, than will their be people who crash on the ice world who at least know some of them so that they know that tarra was found by the v’loryans (I know that’s probably not spelled right🤷🏻♀️) in one of the sister trilogies?
5. Can we have a new set of books following the children of this ice world and maybe they are found in that series and “rescued” from this world.

Rokan and Emma
This was a sweet and sexy story about Dragon Shifter Rokan and his human fated mate, Emma.
Emma was a prisoner of the A'Kai and suffered from some traumatic experiences. Rokan knows that Emma is his but he's not rushing her because of her past. There was a slow burn as their friendship turned to more and it was so enjoyable to read. The world building is done well and creates this whole new alien universe to explore.
Overall, really entertaining, steamy and highly recommended!!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Protected by Jessica Grayson. This is the seventh book in the Ice World Warriors series. I read this book as a drop-in (I did not read the previous books in the series). Rokan and Emma's story is a sweet and sexy read. When Rokan rescues Emma he realizes she is his mate. But after the trauma she has been through during her captivity he doesn't want to push her. Emma is developing strong feelings for the warrior that rescued her. But how can he care about a damaged woman like her. A great read.

Throw in a little kissing practice, some human dating customs and misunderstandings, and then these two finally get on the same page, they are so adorably sweet together. I just loved how supportive Rokan was of Emma and how he treasured his friendship with her. Plenty of new people and a whole new alien race are introduced in this book, so I’m looking forward to more great Ice World Warriors stories.

This is my second book in this series I've read, and I found it a very enjoyable story to read. This story is about Rokan and Emma. I liked the characters and the storyline as I read this romantic alien story. Emma a human was rescued and lives in the mountain compound that Rokan develops a friendship with that he knows is his fated mate. But how can he claim her when she's been mistreated? This was a wonderful engaging story I received via Booksprout that I volunteer to read and review.

We finally have Emma's story. Rokan rescued her in book 1.
They liked each other but were hesitant to take the next step. Emma was relatable, she wasn't immediately comfortable with everything like the other girls. She had issues she had to overcome first.
I liked how they were friends first, he was very supportive and got to knew everything about her first.

This is a super sweet sci-fi romance! I absolutely loved it! Rokan and Emma are adorable together. Love the lessons.. The interaction with their resident Akai, and other new characters in the story looks very intriguing.

I’m loving this alien sci-fi romance series with Rokan and Emma, there’s plenty of action, adventure, suspense, danger, drama, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I loved this story and the characters especially Rokan who was very sweet and patient with Emma who went through so much trauma and I highly recommend this book.

Another great Ice World Warriors
I enjoyed this story of Emma and Rokan. It was as great as the ones before it. It’s amazing that the Terrans are finding love after so much tragedy and terror. Keep giving us more stories about them. I can’t wait!

Good reading
Enjoyed the whole store line. I hope there will be others to continue the series. I read book 1-7 in three days, as I got so into story lines.
