Immortal Fallen

Rate this book
The fate of the world is in the hands of the one who broke it.

The good news? Calliope has a body again. The bad news? She’s naked, weak, and napping on top of her immortal ex. The awful news? Her magic is blocked, and to her great horror, Mal is the key to unlocking it.

Waking up under his naked ex wasn’t in his plans for the day, but Mal’s flexible. As the self-proclaimed Trickster God of Chaos (trademark pending), he loves a challenge, but this one might be more than he can handle.

He trusts Calliope as much as his backstabbing Pantheon buddies, but he needs her on his side to protect the rest of the gods—and despite their messed-up past, he’d still do anything to protect her too.

With a psychotic god gaining strength, and secrets being revealed all around, Calliope discovers a hidden power that could help her save the humans and gods alike. But not alone. She needs the truth. She needs a plan.

She needs Mal.

Did I read this book without reading the previous ones in the series, despite it all being interconnected? Yup
Was I confused half the time but still kept reading solely for the angst and romance? Why, yes, I did
And did I still enjoy it? Ofcourse! Tbh, this would have been 5 stars, had I understood more of what was happening 🤣

An excellent greek retelling with a wonderful second chance romance! Everyone deserves a Mal in their life hehe🙇‍♂️

This is a fantastic ending to a fantastic series! It’s been one hell of an adventure full of action, drama, danger and second chances but it was well worth the ride. I absolutely love Calliope and Mal and seeing them get their hea, not the one they expected but one that was meant for them and it was well worth the wait and the twists and turns and surprises the author threw our way as they go hunting for the truth. Secrets are finally revealed as we get closer to the end where mankind is saved and the gods are united. The world building has been incredible and the series fun with a little spice thrown in. Would definitely recommend.

The ending with a twist

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'll try not to give out spoilers.

Okay, it's been a minute since I read the last book, so I was lost for awhile until the story came back to me.

First off, I'm pleased that Mal and Calliope...came to an understanding between themselves.
As for Bach, I initially thought that the way his storyline played out was overly simplistic, but I guess that's the irony of it. For all his scheming, theft and general deviousness, his comeuppance came by means of...let's call it a kitchen appliance.
The book closed out with a few questions for me...
I would have appreciated some more information on Calliope's new...situation and how it will play out given the reason she landed in it in the first place.
Perhaps a little more insight on the arrangement with the Gods and how things are different for them now.
And what about the Supersquad?

For me it didn't wrap up as well as it could have

I LOVED this book! I was so happy that Calliope finally got her own story and we get to learn about her fated past with Mal, the sexy trickster God of mischief. This story picks up right where Warrior Tamed left off and we get to see the aftermath of Calliope breaking the seal and getting a human form again. The tension and heartache between Calliope and Mal is so strong but I love that Nicole still brings her sassy quips and humor to the story. Sad this was the end of the series but I have no doubt we will hear more from Nicole because she is on a roll!

I received this as an ARC and giving my honest review.

What a wonderful ending to a fun series. I loved Calliope and Mal and it was wonderful reading their story. We find that Mal has done everything to help Calliope even when she hated him and miss understood a situation that changed their paths. This was a great adventure, and I loved the twists and turns we took with these two as they went on their adventure to finding the truths. I you're looking for a fun sweet romance with some adventure this series is a good one.
I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Gods, Magic, Deception & Spicy Love!

Deception kept pure love apart but magic brought them back together. After avoiding eachother for 1000 years, Mal and Calliope overcome their insecurities, finally giving themselves fully to each other while rising in power, saving the humans and finally uniting the gods. This is an easy read, with great world building, allowing the characters to come to life and of course the author did not disappoint with a healthy sprinkle of spice. Great writing and story!

I enjoyed Calliope and Mal’s story so much!

Intrigue, secrets, magic – and Zeus as a sunflower. LOL. My favourite part though, is the Temple of Fates.

I did feel that the confrontation with Bach, which all has led up to, was over a bit fast and too easy. And the swearing was unnecessary.

A good ending to the series.

I have enjoyed this series from book one and this fourth and final book of the series is no different. This follows Calliope and Mal. Their story is filled with Gods, magic, steam, danger, action and love. The twist and revelations are very intersting. The romance is sweet and the story is an exciting adventure to follow.

Not exactly a mythology retelling, rather more of a “borrowing”. Throw in a second-chance romance in which the couple is already familiar with each other (in sooo many ways). I’d also classify this as YA Urban Fantasy.
