SHE FINALLY HAS HER DREAM IN SIGHT.
Maggie Hart hasn’t always made the best choices. When the life she was trying to build for her kids is derailed by charges of neglect, she found promise instead of despair. The promise of getting her kids back home where they belong. The promise of making a better life for them with Christ at the center of their home. The promise of her own happily-ever-after with her children’s handsome foster father. One good deed will put all of those dreams in jeopardy.

HIS OBLIGATIONS OR HIS HEART?
Single kindergarten teacher Randy Caswell has his hands more than full when he takes two foster kids into his home. Caring for a newborn and a five-year-old should have turned his peaceful life upside down. Instead, it brought love to every corner of his heart, not just for the kids but for their mother. When the woman he loves is accused of a crime she didn’t commit, he feels obligated to put his duty to Max and Mariah ahead of his love for their mother.

WILL THEIR LOVE SURVIVE?
The choppy sea of wrong conclusions, old hurts, and delayed promises is littered with broken hearts. But if Maggie and Randy can keep their eyes on the Creator instead of the storm, maybe they’ll learn that no matter how messy life gets, God is always faithful.

Small-town Oklahoma and the friendships they produce are embedded in Sharon Srock’s heart. After spending her first fifteen years on the move, living in fourteen homes and attending thirteen schools, she landed in a tiny central Oklahoma community and made it her own. As someone who’s been blessed to be a part of the same hometown church for more than five decades, Sharon writes stories of hope built from her own unique perspective—stories that demonstrate a sisterhood formed not by blood but by heart, where ordinary women are able to do extraordinary things thanks to the friends who surround them and the faith that pulls them through. Sharon still lives in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma, with her husband and three very large dogs. When she isn’t writing, she loves to read, cook, and travel. One of these days, she’s going to figure out how to do all three at the same time.

Have you ever been so close to a goal only to have it ripped from your grasp? Well Maggie Hart is about to find out. She has followed the rules and met the obligations but one good deed can end it all. A hard lesson to learn that not all friends can be trusted. Maggie is a story of redemption, forgiving, growing, trust, and patience. We really see the struggles that some face each day as they try to straighten out their lives and make a living. The raw emotions that we see both Maggie and Randy confront makes the reader turn the pages. Will they find a happily ever after? Will their dreams come true? Can they confront their prejudices and fears? Growing in faith means finding forgiveness, patience, trust, and love. I stayed up far to late in order to turn pages and find out if God does answer prayers. I love this story in the series. It really does show that having a good support system and a set of friends can see one to the other side of anything. I look forward to the next in the series. The Women of Garfied series tell wonderful and relatable stories. I received an ARC. A review was not required.

Maggie by Sharon Srock
Crafted with Love Series Book Three
Maggie Hart has worked very hard the last year and a half at getting her life together. She lost her kids to CPS and had to jump through all their hoops before she could get Max and Mariah back. She was almost there. And then the unthinkable happens.
Randy Caswell has become a foster parent, even though he’s single. Something in his past had pushed him to feel it was the right thing. During his time with his foster kids, he not only fell in love with them but their mother as well.
As the four of them are looking to a future together, twists and turns happen that could destroy everything. Finally, Randy and Maggie have to hand it all over to God and trust Him with their lives. Completely.
It was another heartwarming story, and for me—it was a must to have tissues close at hand.

Beautiful! 😭

A heart-wrenching, moving story of forgiveness and second chances.

Maggie has worked incredibly hard at rebuilding her life after losing her kids to the foster care system. She has a job, a home, opportunities on the horizon, and a sweet relationship with her children’s foster dad. Things are looking up; she will regain custody of her children soon, she expects her boyfriend to pop the big question, and it’s Christmas!

But a police roadblock on the way to visit her children - along with a few secrets and major misunderstandings! - threatens her future and everything she’s worked for.

Can she overcome her past trauma and the harsh criticism and judgement of others? Will she be able to clear her name, or will the new charges keep her from her kids? Even if she gets her kids back, will she be able to trust enough to let love in again?

This story has it all - drama, humor, love, forgiveness and faith. Another great story in this amazing series.

From the moment I started reading the first chapter of this book, I was drawn in. I felt like I couldn’t stop reading until I knew how this story was going to end. The main character was so likeable that I wanted her life to be happy and successful, yet from the way the story started, I was worried that it wouldn’t be.
I love how Srock tells the story of Christian characters that have a strong belief in God. It’s not preachy at all, it just reflects a lifestyle of trusting in God to get you through the problems in your life, and believe me, Maggie sure has problems.
This book is part of a series, but it could easily be read as a standalone. If you’re like me, you will want to read all the books in this series and the others this author has written. She is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Maggie was a great addition to the Ladies of Garfield series. I quickly fell in love with both Maggie and Randy as well as Max and Mariah. Randy’s mother? Let’s just say we all know a few Sophia’s in our life. This book had me laughing, crying, yelling, and thinking. I love the sense of community I get with all of this author’s books and I love how she always brings her stories back to the redemption of God. Once again, Callie was amazing and such a wonderful mentor/example of Christ’s love. I loved how the mystery was solved as well and the scene between Maggie and God where she learned what it means to “be still and know that He is God.” That was a reminder that I needed in my life in this season.

I was given a copy of this book by the author but was under no obligation to review. All opinions are my own.

Sharon has a way with stories that keeps the reader reading. She gifted me with this book for my honest review.
Maggie has had a rough life with men. Two dead beat boyfriends, but she was blessed to have two beautiful children because of them. Single parenthood got the best of her and CPS became involved. Maggie was so upset that her kids were taken she does everything the program calls for to get her kids back and of course meets the Foster dad, Randy. Randy loved Maggie's kids as his own. He also falls for Maggie, but has to keep it under control until Maggie is allowed to get her kids back. A bad incident happens to Maggie which jeopardizes her getting her kids back. Will she lose it all? Great read!

I recognize a well-written story when the author pulls me into it so thoroughly that I feel right along with the characters. Maggie took me from desolation to elation and every emotion in-between! There isn't a nice clear path on the way up either. Expect some severe drop-offs. Maggie and Randy are well-developed characters that I desperately wanted to succeed. They do get their HEA. I couldn't help but fall for Maggie's children, Max and Mariah.. I love the crafting group of friends and how they support each other. I enjoy how author Sharon Srock works faith into the story so naturally. I highly recommend this story and would definitely read more from this author.
I received a complimentary copy and am sharing my opinion of this outstandingly well-written book.

This story by Sharon Srock is the perfect example of the old adage, "No good deed goes unpunished." This book had so many twists in it that it kept me turning pages long into the night. It seemed as if no matter what Maggie did, anything that could go wrong did. It's hard to hold on to your faith (and even harder to hold on to your kids) when all the cards are stacked against you. But Maggie has a solid support group and with God, all things are possible.

I received an ARC of this book for which I am grateful but this is definitely a book that would be on my shelf anyway. This is one author that grabs your attention from the very first page!

I loved this. The faith element is so strong in the midst of nearly impossible circumstances. This story of Maggie and Randy was inspiring and I adored it.

Maggie was trying to get her kids back from foster care and was doing what she needed. Randy is the kids' foster father. Maggie and Randy have a relationship and he was going to propose, but then something happens that throws it all into a tailspin.

Through the turmoil and the opposition, they grow stronger individually by depending on their faith. This is a romantic, sweet story of faith and love.

I received an early copy and this is my honest review

Sharon Srock will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next in this wonderful book. You will read about social services, foster parents, and bad choices. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful story. Watching Maggie and Randy taking care of these kids is truly inspirational. The characters in this book are like a family always there for each other. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

Sharon Srock has done it again. I always need a box of tissues close at hand when I read one of her books. This was no exception. In fact, I was probably reaching for them early on in this book. And….I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in 1 day!!! I love all of the books in this series, but this might be my “favorite “.

After following all the rules set before her, Maggie was ready to get her life back together. However, one good deed to help a friend put a stop to that. What will happen next? Be sure to get a copy and find out for yourself!!

Going back to Garfield was so enjoyable and meeting new characters, something I always enjoy! Truly heartfelt Maggie and Randy! Wow, all the feels!!! I cried and cried some more. Gods grace and His unconditional love surrounded this story, every scene, every detail. Sharon has brought so much depth and emotion into Maggie’s story and it was so heartwarming! You can feel what the characters are feeling. And Mariah and Max, they melted your heart!! You’ll fall in love with this story and all the others in this series. A blessed series indeed!!

This story grabbed me from the first page. It is a very well written book that makes you feel what Maggie is feeling and what she is going through. God's love and faithfulness are also felt throughout this story, showing that even when she does not feel His presence, He is there for her and has never left her. There are many ups and downs in this book that keep you wondering what will happen next. It is a great addition to the Ladies of Garfield series, but can be read alone as well. I highly recommend it!

Triumph after troubles

Though every romance story has its problems for the couple to overcome, these challenges were different and worse than the norm. Briefly jailed for a crime she didn't commit and suspended from her job during the police investigation, Maggie's faith is the main thing which keeps her going. Past experiences have affected her ability to trust men in general, and she misunderstands some of her boyfriend's actions. It takes a while for things to work out well, but repeated small miracles make it possible.

Trusted

Maggie found out young early that men could not be trusted to be true. Her heart had been shattered twice but she didn’t have time to focus on it because she had two beautiful children to raise. But being a single mother was overwhelming and soon she was she was too exhausted to care for them properly. It broke her heart when CPS took them from her but she worked to learn and regain control of her life. What she didn’t count on was falling for the amazing single man who became their foster father.

Another great story in this series! It centers around foster care showing the trials and triumphs. Maggie Hart has two small children by two different fathers. Nothing has been easy for her and now her kids are in foster care. This book demonstrates God’s love and how we will succeed if we will listen to Him.

True love is a precious gift

This is a wonderful stor that's laced with love and heartbreaking moments that seem so unfair. Maggie struggles and works so hard to prove her innocence and Randy struggles to help her but winds up with a broken heart. I recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Emotive

I can't believe the traumas and difficulties she goes through. It sounds like the worst nightmare! And God is telling her He has good plans for her. What great friends she has. The whole story is heart wrenching, with hope pearls strewn in between ups and downs. A good ending. Phew!

Maggie

A wonderful story of Randy and Maggie, the mistakes they had previously made and their finding love with each other and trusting God was there and letting him lead the way. Enjoyed it so much, so well written and after being teased with the first 2 chapters I had to buy it and so worth reading.

As always, Sharon Srock delivers a suspenseful, loving, and beautiful story of real life in God’s hands. This series shows the love of God in the everyday life and trials of people doing their best to stay strong in their faith. How blessed we are Ms Srock shares her tremendous talent with us!

I loved this addition to the series. Maggie’s story drew me in so much I couldn’t put it down. I was rooting for her and Randy from the beginning. A good reminder that even when things go so wrong or we believe there is no hope, that God is always there and he always makes a way.

Never give up

Wonderful story of God's love for his children. Just when Maggie thinks there's no hope for her situation, God takes the bad and works it for good. If you feel like you're alone and no one cares this story is for you.

Happy, with rough edges

This book is not your traditional book with dealing with foster care, CPS and drug charges as well as nasty in laws. But I thought the subject matter was handled well and the story written in a truthful manner. Well done.
