Véa and Nix have brought an ounce of peace to the cold world of Matriaza since they stole the crown. Their happily ever after required pain and suffering, but now, they're better than they've ever been. They're planning the wedding they should have had to begin with, lying beside one another in bed each night, and getting exactly what they'd like to out of life.
Until trillions of souls are born, and the two of them must find a way to protect them from their own people, and their darkest enemy - the maalaichte cnihme.
Matriaza and Morduaine are overpopulated already, and they have nowhere to put these infant souls.
Nix and Véa must form an alliance with the only people they know with access to a land large enough to house so much new life.
So I have COVID, annnnd this review will not do this amazing book justice!! However, can I just say….. that never have I ever been as excited for the next part in book in a series.
I was waiting with bated breath and then I had no breath with covid lol.
But can I just say, this is will be my worst review yet but also I still need everyone to know they can’t miss this.
So when you read a series, there are highs and lows and kick in the guts. However, there are also moments where you just smile……… well that is this book.
I think what I love about Charlie Nottingham most is you have absolutely no clue what you will get. She knows exactly how to bring you up and tear you down but in the best way.
She is what I truly believe to be our next generations best author. Watch this space! I put money on it as her writing style is what makes you feel alive and in another world. It is 💯 unique!!!
If I could give everyone of her books 100/5 I would! Absolutely perfect 🤩
What a beautiful culmination to the series. A compromise, a happy ending. So much happiness, after the heartaches of previous books. Chapter 30! Holy cow! I think I'll go read that one again right now, actually. I recently started rereading Charlie's other books but of course I had to set those aside for this one. I was not disappointed, I devoured it in a single day! My toddler has made a huge mess of my house but I couldn't put it down! Nix has been my favorite for this series but I think Vèa has edged him out in this book.
Ps. I still hate Lux, but maybe not quite as much as before.
Vea and Nix FINALLY get their reckoning. After all of the heartbreak they’ve endured on Matriaza for nearly a decade, they’re finally able to marry each other and achieve the peace they both so desperately wanted. I’ve never in my life been so happy to see a series end. And the way this book ended?!? Ugh so perfect! Are there still a few more questions than answers? Yes. But we got sooooo many others answered within this book. We finally got to see Vea and Nix happy and living out their dreams! They get to have the family they’d been wanted for years. And we finally learned what and who exactly the par animarium are.
This was incredible. I had so many feelings while reading this and so many questions that got answered! I can’t believe we finally got the beginning of their story from literally the beginning and got to follow it all the way to here. I laughed, cried, and everything in between while I made my way through this book. It was almost 500 pages of perfection and while I’m so sad that this side trilogy is over, I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
I received an ARC for this book yesterday, and let me say, best one from her yet! I could not put it down. As I have read all of the combined series from this universe, this answered so much and the end was beautiful. If you haven't picked up these books yet, do it! I cannot wait to see how this ties in with the future story.
This is going to be a long review so buckle up. Creation is the third book in the origin of the gods series, so this is not a stand alone. To understand what’s going on you have to read the first two books. Do you have to read the other series first? (Eluding destiny/arcane gods) No, but that is how I read them and I felt I got a better understanding of all the characters that way. Now onto this book. Wow what a ride! This book made me laugh, cry, scream, and even sweat a little. You’ll know why I mean when you read chapter 30! I’m sad to see this series end and waiting on pins and needles for the next book. I’m so glad I was picked to receive an arc from this author. She has quickly became one of my favorite authors!!!
I absolutely adore this series!! I can't wait to see what new twists and turns Charlie has in store for these fantastic characters! This book was no different from the rest of the series, amazing and absolutely perfect!!
This book was absolutely AMAZING! I seriously can't day this enough. It wrapped up perfectly for this series and answered many questions I think we all have been wondering through the entire Eluding Destiny series. You have to read it, you won't want to miss it!.
I just felt like not a lot happened in the first 60%, and I didn't love where it was going when something happened. I would still recommend this book because the first two books were amazing, and it wasn't unreadable.
A beautiful way to end this part of the story (There is obviously more to come) but its nice to see it, momentarily, with a picturesque happy ending. Which Charlie will promptly crush.
