Bestselling author Emma Adams and smash-hit illustrator Mike Byrne join forces for the very first time - and the results are hilarious! In the bathroom this morning, I looked in the loo, and guess what I saw - yes that's right, it's a poo! I couldn't believe it, I called for my mum, "There's a gift in our toilet that's made by a bum!" When a little boy finds a poo in his family loo , he starts imagining who might have left it there. Was it ... a dragon? A unicorn? A dinosaur?! With every idea more exciting than the next, he can't wait to find the culprit. But who could it be?
I just read it to my preschool class and they were laughing out loud. They were also giving me looks like "Are we really talking about poop?" It was hilarious! Cool story, great illustrations, a bit of a mystery, and a great reminder about flushing and washing hands after using the toilet. I highly recommend it for the little ones (and the big ones).
I love the unicorns face here (and throughout the book). This is a very funny story. I do question the shark segment, only because they had nothing to do with the poo. And I totally feel the elephants pain, getting into a nice hot bath only to realise.. You have to get out again… I love that most people and creatures have gone to the bathroom with a book. The brothers together at the end of the book is super cute and a great lesson. Wash your hands!
Another book of the year! Love the unicorn with the spectacles and that most of the animals have books with them. Wonderful for little kiddies learning about toilet training. In COVID times, the reminder to wash your hands, is a pretty good note for us all.
