A Place To Hide

Rate this book
Naiya is a wereleopard.

Except she doesn’t know how that’s even possible, considering her entire breadth of knowledge of such things comes from pop culture and classic horror movies.

So when her wealthy adoptive parents—in a flash of frustrating cluelessness—drop her into rehab just so she can get picked up by some shadow organization, Naiya can’t help but feel like everything she thought she knew about herself is wrong. Because these people push her to the limits of her capabilities and beyond without even blinking, and show her all the things that go bump in the night.

If it weren’t for Val and Andy, Naiya might go entirely mad with the whole ordeal.

And once she finally escapes, she’ll never be caged again.

9 books10 followers
Born and raised in Texas, Becca Lynn Mathis has been writing stories and daydreaming about other worlds since she was a little girl reading books in the branches of the tree in her front yard. As she grew, so did her love of stories, so much so that she often got in trouble at school for writing them, even if her other work was already done.

Today, she is a graduate of Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL with her B.S. in psychology. She is a dreamer of the highest order, involving herself in as much storytelling and geekery as she can manage, whether that's playing Dungeons & Dragons (or Pathfinder), prepping for a musical performance for the next local renaissance or pirate faire, or simply getting lost for hours playing video games like Beat Saber or World of Warcraft. She lives in sunny South Florida with her amazingly supportive husband, their awesome blended family and two goofy dogs.

I'm late in providing this review. I keep going back and reading all 3 books in the series.

In book 3 we meet Naiya, and she's been committed by her adopted parents. It's not that she's crazy or an addict, but because she isn't quite human.

She's a wereleopard.

Becca Lynn is an amazing storyteller with research backed details, without boring the reader.
I highly recommend this book, the whole series really (and I've been personally assured there are more books in the works) for anyone who likes modern fantasy with a touch of kink and adventure.
