In order to consolidate the status of the royal prince, he launched an offensive in pursuit of a plutocratic daughter, but soon he suffered the first critical hit in his life. The campus bully had declared that his daughter was a friend that he wanted to protect. Then, he was hit by a second critical attack on the day he was fighting against the bully. However, he was intimate with the bully in his dreams every night! Everything seemed to be out of control. How should the prince, who had never made any mistakes, face his unexpected first love?
im so upset idk how to put pictures into this damn review because i could not possibly put justice to the manhwa without showing naz and cass and the very beautiful art style!!!! but anyway, LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE THIS SO MUCH!!! by reading this, i can tell that the creator really love their characters, AS THEY SHOULD!!!!!! naz and cass are literally the best couple ever. MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN I TELL YOU!! im not sure if im gonna be able to read season 2 since i suck at waiting for updates, i usually just lose interest but tbh im satisfied with how season 1 turned out. made me smiling like a fool smh 🙄🙄 at first i thought this would somehow include bdsm bc it literally started with a freaking dog collar but omg its sooooo wholesome and adorable!! will protect them at all costs!!! miss ivy too ofc and zayne!! i hope to see more of their friendship in season 2 they truly deserve all the screentime!!
I have rarely read a more confused and confusing story. The author is stuffing everything they can think of into the one story and it's bursting at the seams. There's a fantasy style prince with political machinations and inheritance/succession woes next to a misunderstood debt-ridden vigilante justice warrior, both of whom are somehow students at a modern high school. Complications range from vindictive regent and queen-mother, to sexually-harassing teachers, to buildings burning down around their ears, to foreign dignitaries with hidden agendas, to general societal homophobia. The dynamic between the two main characters keeps shifting and it's very hard to get a read on what they mean to each other, what they want, where they're going. It's all just A LOT; exacerbated by the somewhat chaotic storyboarding where we shift settings and focus very abruptly, making the story feel very fragmented. The saving grace is that the two characters are reasonably likeable, and the art is very pretty.
Overall, I just couldn't get invested because the vibe kept changing and throwing me off. I couldn't tell what kind of story I was supposed to be reading - which can be fun when it's subverting your expectations, but isn't fun when it's just a hodgepodge of clashing story elements. I DNFed after around 20 chapters.
“He makes my heart jump every time I see him. He shines brighter than any star in the sky. He is… my first love.”
I'm be honest - I was bamboozled by an image for this manga that I never saw in the actual storyline? It was giving one thing and the manga gave something else.
I'm pretty sure it was this image...
What I got was actually so pretty and light though, so I ain't mad at it:
this is the first bl novel I read and I can't tell you how much I'm so thankful I did. I was scared it was going to be very sketchy and toxic from the reputation bl works has had but I immediately fell in love from the beginning of the novel, the characters are beautifully written. the couple is not only pure wholesome and adorable, but healthy. if you are going to read your first bl, read this. this is my favourite bl manga or even of all time. I won't be able to find anything as good as this.
Ok it was good, but not great. I liked the romance it was actually well developed and i absolutely adored the first 30-40 chapters.
Heir to the throne perfect poised prince Nazaire becoming a normal person and escaping his duties because of his boyfriend bad boy and street rat Cassius??? LOVEEE
But then it became boring after the story started focusing on politics more and shit like that. Yawn, i want fluffy romance not politics and kidnappings!!!!!!
The art was phenomenal but what else would we expect from a chinese manhua? The art is always phenomal🙂↕️
I dont particularly like the miscommunication trope in the beginning of the story and it actually drags on for so many chapters. But the plot kinda thickens after that and Im actually so glad when the main cp finally realises their romantic feelings for each other I had to cheer like Ms. Monitor. Theyre so cute and sweet and Im glad they get to have their happy ending
