As the author of this book, I don't believe it matches up to other more prestigious authors, but I know the work and time I put into this. I used much mythology and fantasy to create a new world of demigods, monsters, greedy gods, heroes, and harrowing villains that I hope others will enjoy!

Original premise and engaging plot with moral lessons

Ancient Greek Gods, flying Queen, monsters, demons, dragons, humans, magic amulet, and demigods are all in this fantastic imaginary tale that flips between the fantasy of an underworld stretched all over the entire universe, and the actual real world about an abused girl. In the alternative world the main character, Nikki, fights her way and seeks help and justice for her friends and the people she cares about. In the real world, Nikki might be called resilient but in the underworld, this girl might own the throne, and actually her own destiny by relying on her own judgment – a brilliant setting for a dynamic plot that transmits an underlying message of hope.

The story is intelligently told from the first-person point of view and starts with horrific detail of Nikki’s daily abusive life, making us immediately empathetic with this teenage character. But then, she is being opened to an imaginary ancient world where Nikki thinks, “I feel like something is about to happen, something big.״ Indeed, something that wishes to turn her to a demigod.

The visualization of each scene and characters’ description within is just an artwork. Need to avoid skipping lines since every sentence is important to the built-up characters and the story, something that defines exceptional writers only. I also like the writing style and the imaginary world built by this gifted author. There are thriller scenes that kept me excitedly reading and emotional scenes that kept me engaged. Nikki has been trained to fight but her really strength is her inner nature. After all, this take could be relevant to many abused children who use their inner strength to create an alternative world with alternative escape routes that eventually diffuse into the real world.

Here is a captivating dialogue relevant to Nikki’s life in both worlds:
‘“What are you doing? You should be running! They’re coming and you can’t fight them!”
“I can’t just run,” I mumble in response to her question. “
Yes, you can! You have to! They’re going to take you and never let you leave again, Nikki!”
“Let them come,” I murmur as I lay my head down to rest my eyes again. I do my best to shut out the pain and watch the surrounding area for any mythical beasts.’

Since the story is constantly evolving, the book would benefit having a list of the characters and perhaps a love story too. Nevertheless, the non-stop actions makes the read unstoppable. Can one beat own scary demon in order to move forward? My 5-star rating gives a hint.
