Unlike Tarot, oracle decks are more freeform. The artist, (in this case, it's me,) designs the deck from the art to the meanings each card holds. The inspiration for this deck comes from John Marzluff and Tony Angell's book Gifts of the Crow. In their book, they dive into crow behavior and how these incredibly smart birds behave like humans. This guidebook offers more information than what is found in the smaller guidebook included in the deck.
Unfortunately, I cannot connect with this, disappointed. The guide book is basic and was a let down, no imagery in the guide book and it had no feeling of spirituality or depth. The meanings of the cards are rather short and I was initially excited about the artwork but opening the box it felt sterile to me. The worst part is how flat and / or negative the meanings are. I dont expect or want it to be 100% positive, but after pulling 7 cards for multiple questions/readers, they were all either soulless or negative and made no sense to what was asked. Still love crows… Could be that this is just not right for me, but in good conscience I sadly cannot recommend this at all.
