Logan was part of the band Muse of Darkness. He was wild with his drinking and women. Ally was a singer in a Las Vegas hotel hoping for a break in the music industry. When Logan heard her singing and saw her, he was entranced with her. They both had issues with their past which affected their present. Ally had made fun of in school because of her nose, and music representatives said she had a great voice but not the looks. Logan was abandoned by his mother at ten months old and left with his grandmother who dies of cancer when he was 15 years old and he had to go to foster care. He had abandonment issues that affected him in present day. I understood how the two didn’t want to commit to each other. Their journey was up and down with Logan’s drinking issues. Their closeness in the bedroom was no problem. This is a heart wrenching book at times that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
I was a bit disappointed in this book that was classified as dark romance. There was more angst than darkness. Major background information was glossed over. Ally had a bad experience with her ex and BDSM. Logan is into it and asks her to trust him but he's not able to let his walls down and do the same. There are some parallels to the plot of A Star is Born where Ally's success is on the rise and Logan almost destroys it for her. I was not able to connect to the characters and some of the items missed during editing took me out of the story.
“I have no doubt she’d wreck me if we had more time together. My heart wouldn’t survive it.”
Rockstar romances are my favorite genre. No question. Every time I start one I’m already prepared to love it. Sometimes I’ve disappointed and occasionally I’m annoyed but usually I enjoy myself even if the book is only average. Happily I can say this is one time I’m absolutely thrilled! Somehow I’ve never read any of Liz’s rockstar romances. I promise after this I’m reading them all. She’s amazing at it.
Logan is by all appearances a typical rockstar. He’s hot, talented, jaded, and selfish. He’s all about the sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll and takes excessive drinking to a whole new level. But underneath he’s so many kinds of complex. I don’t want to spoil the book so let me just say he’s had a past filled with pain, loss and angst. He also, surprisingly, yearns for love. I was a bit surprised by this but it’s apparent very early in the book so it’s not really a spoiler.
He and Ally connect immediately. She has a lot of her own hang-ups to deal with that often cloud her thoughts, actions and judgement. I really loved them together. They seemed made for each other.
The sex scenes are explicit and very, very hot! Logan’s into BDSM. Ally had a negative experience with kinky play and he has to convince her to give it another go. It turns the heat up to an inferno. This book is Not for the faint of heart!
Wes is next and I’m thrilled. I love drummers best and I really loved him in this book. I can hardly wait!.

Like Erik’s book before, Logan’s is a carnival ride of emotional trauma and dysfunction. And also like that first book, this one is not for the faint of heart. Please note that there are scenes and subject matter that may be difficult to read or even be triggering to some. I loved that Ally inspired Logan to want to be better and he helped to create the opportunity for her to flourish. But with all that light and positivity came all the self-doubts and other tortuous thoughts that nearly destroyed them. As someone who’s survived family members’ addictions, I completely understand that a lot of times a change won’t happen until rock bottom, but it still hurt my heart to watch. The one thing I wish is, there’s a couple of characters that I wanted to see held accountable for the parts they played in making Logan’s spiral worse. I realize it was necessary to get him to where he is in the end, but I didn’t like that they escaped the consequences for being the keys to unlock his demons from their cages. Now that we’ve seen some of the seeds that have been planted for the next pairing, I can’t wait to get my hands on the book to follow this. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Logan is the bass player for the rock band Muse of Darkness and has been battling drinking issues. Ally is a talent in her own right just that she hasn’t hit it big yet; not because of her voice but some of the record companies say she just doesn’t have “the look”. Well, if that doesn’t play on your psyche especially after being bullied in school.
To say they had chemistry doesn’t even come close to the steam these two emitted. Their story was also full of heartache and backstories that played on the people they were today. This book isn’t for the faint of heart because they definitely played off from the physical connection they had…and I loved every minute of it!!
After reading this I want to go back and read Erik’s story and I can’t wait to get my hands on Wes’s story as well.
Like the first book in the series, Logan is not an easy read. It is well-written with an easy flow, but again touches on subjects that may be triggers for some: Ally was bullied because of her looks while Logan was abandoned at an early age and is trying to numb the pain with alcohol. Some of the story takes place at the same time as Erik's, so we get to see some events from a different perspective. Again, there are very emotional song lyrics and the sexy times have more dom/sub elements than the previous book. I enjoyed their growing connection to each other, could certainly understand and feel for them when their insecurities came to the fore and absolutely loved their HEA!.

Logan is the bass player in the band Muse of Darkness and fights his demons with alcohol. From the time Ally was a child she dreamed of becoming a famous singer and she had the talent to do it but was told she just didn't have the look. These two go through a lot and their heartbreaking journey was an emotional one. The writing is well done, the characters are believable and well developed and the story is filled with past problems, demons, angst, steam, heartbreak, and a great ending. Logan is book two in the Muse of Darkness series and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Ally has an amazing voice, but her features have been an obstacle. Logan is a legendary guitarist with a legendary band. When he hears her sing, he is smitten, but the hang ups that make him drink, also stop him from telling Ally how attractive he finds her. Both are frightened of being broken, and it makes for a fraught relationship. This is a very good story. Set to the background of the music industry, and with BDSM aspects, there is a lot to enjoy. I held back a star because some additional relationships are skimmed over - presumably to feature in further stories - and I found it distracting.
This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and this is Logan’s and Ally’s story. Logan a rockstar has all of the vices that come with being a famous rockstar with a traumatic and painful past, Ally is a singer she hasn’t made it big yet because the record producers say that she has the voice but not the look!. When these two come together their passion is explosive but then so is their heartbreak. This is a very emotional story and I loved every bit of it and I definitely recommend this book.
Logan Maine is a famous rock star in a famous band and is trying to outrun his demons. Ally Howard wants more than anything to get into the business. She rescues him in Vegas. He returns the favor by recommending her for a role in the band's biopic. Their chemistry ignites, but will their romance sputter out? (Hint: it's an HEA!)

That was a cathartic read, I was intrigued by Ally and Logan in Erik, with the glimpses we saw from the set and the fundraiser. I don't want to spoil the story so will be vague in the words but when Logan finally decides to change it was so well written.

Rockstar meets aspiring singer. Logan has a dark past but he’s rich and he’s famous. But he’s also damaged and hides a dark past. Allyson is working hard to get a break and just when it looks like she’s going to make it, Logan’s past comes back to bite her. He’s got issues but she does too and they’ll both have to change to find an HEA.
This was all over the place. You had a little A Star Is Born, but then again not. The dialogue in places was flat out painful. And having abandonment issues and being an alcoholic are two very different things. I can’t believe I stuck through to the end. It was rough.
I thought it moved fast and skipped over a lot. Logan being an alcoholic was also a major turn off and the fact that Ally would forgive him right away was bullshit. I also thought the sex scenes didn’t really fit, it could’ve been placed differently. Overall, I didn’t really enjoy the book and wouldn’t recommend.

this can be summed up by “this is going to ruin the tour” and it sucks because i was really eating it up in the beginning. was giving major “a star is born” vibes too. unsure if i’ll continue but for free on kindle, maybe i will 🤷🏻♀️
A good contemporary romance that addresses some heavy subjects. The MCs are each battling their own demons but they aren’t delved into overly deeply with regard to the events of the past, as such I feel it’s a lighter book pushing toward the positive changes.
This felt like it was written by a high schooler with a thesaurus . Was going to finish it because it was a short read, but couldn't bring myself to do so, especially after "guffaw" was used incorrectly for the second time. Hard pass.
This book shows that love overcomes everything if you put each other first. I laughed, cried, was sad then happy. I cried with sadness then cried with joy. Truly emotional it resonated so much with me. Highly recommend this author
Good story with a HEA. Relatable characters, with good development. Great spice too. Honestly unsure why I didn’t give this a five star rating, it really was a good story but felt I was missing more by the end of it.
Honestly this book was so hard to follow, Time hops and sometimes it seemed like I had missed a chapter but I hadn’t. The story had potential but just got lost do not recommend very glad ir was free
Really love a good rock book. Love is never easy, but Logan and Ally have huge mountains on their path and Logan does something that puts Ally's future at stake. ...
This was a good storyline. Emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed this book. Is not like the rockstar books I have read. Give this one a read. You will like it.
This was not the cover when I picked this on my Kindle lol. I would’ve given it four stars if she didn’t use the word “folds” consistently or “guffaw”. Please stop saying folds
