Owner + Designer of Sweet Water Decor, Melissa Horvath shares 90 daily devotions to equip + empower hard working women.
It's easy for women to get wrapped up in all that we do and then forget who God created us to be. Whether we're hardworking inside the home or outside the home or both we all need encouragement and grace to meet the demands life puts on us. This 90-day devotional helps women de-stress by focusing on how we're blessed. Each entry reminds us to tap into God's strength, develop a healthy view of success and failure, and learn to accept ourselves as God's unique creations designed for a unique purpose.
Each devotion begins with a Scripture passage followed by an inspirational message to challenge and encourage women in their work, lives, and faith. Devotions end with engaging questions to help readers apply the spiritual and practical principles as they partner with God to boldly live each day empowered and equipped by Him.
I thought this was a good devotional. I felt like the first half was a lot about waiting and enjoying where you are and made a lot of good points about that topic. The second half had a much wider variety of topics and I enjoyed those as well. There are 90 devotionals which are two pages each. Each devotional also contains a Bible verse and a prayer. I highly recommend this book!
love this devotional. I felt like every time I opened the book I was learning something that spoke directly to me and my current situation. highly recommend!
An amazing devotional for working women, moms, friends, daughters …..any woman. Don’t forget your armor of God. I will definitely read this devotional again and again because I GOT THIS.
This is one of the best devotions I’ve ever done. I’m in direct sales so many of the devotions really hit home. I often shared it in my stories, on my personal Facebook page, and with my team. I gifted this to several ladies in my life, even the owner of our company. You will not regret reading this devotion!
This 90-day devotional was given to me on a very special day last summer by a wonderful woman in my life. She went on to her heavenly reward earlier this year unexpectedly, and as I took time each day to read through this book I thought of her. She sent me encouraging words every morning and I will forever treasure this book because of her. It was exactly what my heart needed, especially when I lost my job this spring. Each entry seemed to speak directly to me—somehow each one better than the last.
As women, it’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos of our to-do lists and forget who we are in God. This devotional gently but powerfully reminded me of my identity in Him. Whether you're a SAHM, working mom, or juggling both, this book offers daily encouragement and grace for the demands life throws our way. Each devotion begins with Scripture and is followed by an uplifting message that challenges, comforts, and inspires. I especially loved the reflective questions at the end of each day—they helped me apply the message in practical, meaningful ways. I can't tell you how many times I took a screenshot and sent it to a friend who was going through a tough situation, too.
What I appreciated most was how each entry helped me de-stress by shifting my focus from what’s overwhelming to what’s truly important. I felt consistently reminded of God’s strength, the value in both success and failure, and the beauty of being uniquely created for a unique purpose. This devotional is more than a book—it’s a companion in your faith journey. Highly recommend to any woman needing a soul-deep reset and a daily dose of truth. It is one I will start over and over again and never grow tired of.
You Got This: 90 Devotions to Equip and Empower Hardworking Women by Melissa Horvath is a beautifully written devotional that provides encouragement, wisdom, and reminders of faith for women navigating the challenges of work and everyday life. Each devotion is short and accessible, but deeply impactful—combining scripture, reflection, and practical applications that speak directly to the struggles and triumphs of hardworking women. It’s not just about getting through the day, but about grounding yourself in God’s truth, rediscovering your worth, and remembering that your identity lies not in your job or circumstances, but in Him.
This is one of the best and most beautiful devotionals I have ever read. I first picked it up while working in a toxic environment with a former employer, and it quickly became my lifeline. On especially tough days, I would bring this book to the office, step away, and read a devotion—it always helped me reset, gain perspective, and remember to whom I truly belong.
Earlier this year, after experiencing a work-induced mental breakdown, I turned back to this book with even more intention. I committed to reading at least two devotions a day until I finished, and it played a huge role in helping me bounce back, climb out of my slump, and rebuild both my confidence and my faith.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough, especially for women in demanding or high-pressure corporate environments. Melissa Horvath’s words are a balm to the soul and a powerful reminder that no matter what we’re up against—we’ve got this, because He’s got us.
Whenever a thing tries to be relevant, rather than universal, it will occasionally miss. Though this devotional was clearly lovingly crafted, there are moments where it tries too hard to connect intimately with too wide an audience and simply misses in a clumsy attempt to sound trendy. I'm of the opinion that such devotionals would be wiser simply to let God's eternal truth speak to itself. However, the attempt to draw people in is a worthy one, and I cannot criticize that--I must simply recognize that it's not the best thing for me spiritually at this time. Were I relying only on this devotional for this season of life, I think it would not have been enough, though when paired with another, more intense Scripture study, it was a nice, cheery supplement.
I found this book on my shelf and decided to pick it up as a daily devo for my mornings. As I got into it, I noticed multiple that were not rooted in scripture and were actually taking scripture out of context. In particular, one seemingly used a verse that talks about only saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when making oaths to fit a devo on saying no to things in life that don’t bring you happiness. Multiple devotions talked about ‘things that no longer serve us’ which just felt very new age to me as well. I don’t find that to be biblically accurate whatsoever and it’s disappointing that she used scripture to fit what she wrote. :( Wouldn’t really recommend if you’re looking for something deeply rooted in scripture as I felt wrong about it and wasn’t able to finish reading.
I really liked this devotional. Each day‘s devotion was interesting and so many of them resonated with things that are going on in my life and I’m sure that are going on in others’ lives too. The “you got this” section at the end of each one was very helpful and interesting too. All in all, I highly recommend this. I will go through it again because I enjoyed it so much.
My friend gave me this for my bday because she thought I needed it and would benefit from it. She was so right and that was such a thoughtful gift. I’m going to pass it on to a friend/coworker who I feel could use it too.
This book was a gift from my father in law. It was so helpful to me as a daily devotional. I really felt God’s presence while reading! Would highly recommend!!
