Ten years ago, my life was running along just like it was supposed to. Or at least how I thought it was supposed to. I had my girl, I had my club, I had a plan. I knew where I was going in my life and it was good. Well, I thought it was good, I’m sure the good citizens of our town were a little less happy about it.
But then I made a decision that would change my future completely. One stupid decision not to tell Reign exactly what would happen the day I claimed her at the table.
I should have known she’d be angry. Reign had been reluctant to join the club in the first place, I should have known she’d argue, that she’d resist.
When she left the clubhouse that night I should have gone with her, I should have gone after her but I stupidly didn’t. Instead I tried to drown my anger and embarrassment in booze and ended up getting arrested with the rest of the club.
Ten years wasted.
Reign
Ten years, it had been ten years since I’d seen my brothers, since I’d seen Micah and suddenly they were all back.
And so was someone else.
Why he was fixated on me I didn’t know and dammit I wanted to leave me alone. I was a lonely pregnant woman who just wanted to run my damn bakery.
Why was it, when the MC was involved my life went to hell? For years I led a normal life, a little lonely perhaps, but normal. I had my friends, I had my business, I had my home. I had everything I needed . . . except one thing.
Seeing Micah again brought back all the good memories we had made together. Could I forget about all the bad, forget about the past and focus on what could be our future?
3.75 stars. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, it was a sweet MC romance centered around the reformation of the Demon Riders. A bit too many characters and crazy situations thrown in, but still enjoyable.
Both Micah and Reign were young when they first fell in love, Micah made a big mistake with Reign before he was locked up, but the two find their way back to each other after Micah’s 10 year prison stint. The strongest aspects of the book were Reign standing up for herself and Micah realizing his mistake and sharing his experience of being in prison and how it had affected him.
Also, the fact that Micah cleaned the bathroom in his room at the clubhouse, for an hour, so Reign could take a bath, was possibly the hottest thing ever!😉
This was my first read from this author. This book was a good start, but there was something just missing from it. It does introduce the next book, but really doesn't end in a cliffhanger. With this first installment, you really don't get much of an MC, but more a members story. The stories told of the old members and their bylaws really made me dislike the beginning. It does get better after the beginning
Spends 10 years in prison and comes out to a new life and president of a new legit club. The Demon Riders are back protecting those they love and taking care of old business. Looking forward to whats next.
I really liked this one. It had a decent side of angst to with this story and I needed it after reading too many MC books that felt like insta-love....with little to no angst involved.
First time reading this author on a recommendation from my reader group. Gotta say that I really enjoyed this book. Crazy how all of these characters are interwoven into each other’s lives. Excited to read Jayden’s story!!!
