I’m a survivor. Between foster care, handsy step-siblings, and a mountain of toxic ex-boyfriends, I have to be. After barely escaping my last loser, I was attacked in a way I didn’t know possible. I should’ve died. Fate has other plans. Now, I’m forced into a life surrounded by things that go bump in the night, where fairy tales and mythical creatures are real. My mere existence has attracted an entire supernatural world. Both good and bad want to own me, but the only person I belong to is him.
Declan
If someone told me years ago I was destined to lose my sanity because of an unbreakable curse, I would’ve laughed in their face. I was human, and my life wasn’t complicated. An animal attack changed that. It changed everything. The beast killed my family and transformed me into this thing. I spend my time protecting mankind from the worst of us--the feral wolf shifters who’ve succumbed to madness. Still, he got to her, and I was too late. Or so I believed. I was given a second chance, and this time, failure isn’t an option. I’ll keep Leena safe and protected the one way I know how. By making her mine.
Krystyna Allyn lives in somewhere USA with her amazingly awesome husband. Though she works full time, blogs and reads like a maniac, she still manages to find time to write all of her crazy stories. Her hobbies include baking, skydiving, karaoke and general mischief.
If you like paranormal stories that have wolf shifters, vampires, fae and witches, this is the book for you! The writing flows and the descriptions of the characters was great. A little romance, a little angst, a lot of rivalry and some betrayal thrown in for good measure. From the second I read the dedication, which made me tear up because it reminded me of my own dad, I was hooked! I started this book last night before bed and only stopped reading when my eyes literally wouldn’t focus anymore! It’s not often I find a book that I enjoy this much so quickly, like within a few pages quick! I love Leena and Declan! And omg, I HATE Gerald, he is written perfectly for a villain character. There are so many twists and turns that the story pulls you in and keeps you there. That ending though! I am not going to elaborate because I don’t like giving spoilers but it definitely sets you up for the next book and I cannot wait to find out where this series is going! I have a feeling this is just the start of a beautiful thing! Happy reading!
I just knew from the start I was going to love this book. In this book we have wolf shifters, vampires, fae, wraith, and a witch. Each and every character were unique and it was easy to follow each character without getting confused.
The beginning of the story starts off with us learning about a cures put upon the wolves. The male wolf shifters are unable to find their true mate as there have been no female wolf shifters in ages driving the shifter males into insanity.
Leena is the main character, but we get point of views from Sexy Declan and Hating Gerard a couple of times. Leena is twenty-six and is poor and homeless and has lived a rough life from being in foster care to being homeless and only having $10 in her bank account. Throught the story we get to see Leena grow and face many conflicts. There were many betrayals, conflict, and plot twist which lead the story to leave off on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book! The romance, plot, characters, and conflicts were all amazingly written. The only thing I would love more of is the world building.
I’ve been so excited for this book since Krystyna announced she was writing it! There are so much incredible details to the story - wolves, vampires, far, wraiths - and how they are intertwined for centuries. You can see the amount of heart that went into creating this fresh and unique world. I so appreciated the glossary at the beginning. I hate to admit that I’m bad with pronunciations so it was extremely helpful. I really loved Leena and Declan and hands down HATED Gerard. I want to know so much more about the rest of the characters!
This book was fast paced, with many twists you just did not see coming. And that ending! *No spoilers* I truly cannot wait for more books in the series.
I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t read Krystyna Allyn before this book, but holy crap, I’m going to rectify that now. Twisted Origin is a fantastically written PNR with great world building and a wonderful cast of characters. I won’t be giving anything away here except to say Leena & Declan are 🔥. Run out and get this book!!!
Werewolves are interesting, mysterious creatures that have that alpha territory predator vibe and I am all for it!
Declan can be my alpha any day! I love seeing his loyalty to his pack and how once he sees Leena, he is hooked.
Leena is one strong girl who has a smart mouth that has no filter and I love it. She doesn't let her all these new changes that are now part of her life change who she is really inside.
I love the world that Krystyna Allyn has created and the development of seeing who all these characters are and how they are entwined.
Declan and Leanna's bound is soo strong right off the bat and I loved seeing where it would go.
Porcelain by Motionless in White was on repeat for me while reading because the lyrics speak to me on how Declan & Leanna's relationship is.
Sexy, mysterious, funny, and scandalous story that kept me on my toes.
And that ending????
I need book 2 like NOW!
Can't wait to see what happens with Leena's fate with Delcan and the others.
**ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review***
This book had EVERYTHING that is my jam!! Shifters wolves, vampires, fae, witches, true mates, ALL OF IT!! Steamy and edge of my seat! Best Krystyna Allyn book yet!
Omg! That ending! I need the next book. I loved this story. Most paranormal stories I’ve read or hear most about focus on just the vampires, werewolves and occasionally witches so this was refreshing. This story had vampires, wolves, fae and one high witch. I loved learning about the magic of each faction. That ending definitely got me and has me on my toes awaiting the next book. The build up was great as was the wold building and the characters were written so well. I loved Leena although I did want to hit her at one point (if you read it, you’ll know, even Leena knows! I can’t wait to read more about all of these characters and find out what happens.
Wolf shifters and vampires and fae...I'm here for it. The magic system is interesting, the slow burn between the main characters is great, and the plot twist/cliffhanger leaves you wanting more.
I wasn’t sure whether this was going to be a much of the same paranormal romance, however I was pleasantly surprised! I loved all the lore surrounding Vampires, fae, wraiths and of course the werewolves. And I really look forward to seeing these storylines develop further in future books in this series. My only peeve is that Leena and Deck’s story arc ends in the second book, but I’m just being greedy because I love these characters so much.
It is definitely up there with one of my favourites, there is everything in there, murder, mystery, romance and interesting characters, some you love, some you hate and others you love to hate. Well worth a read.

Twisted de Krystyna Allyn serie Infinite destiny libro 1
Argumento:
Los compañeros predestinados no siempre son absolutos.
Leena
So, uhm. I really love shifter romances, especially rejected mates with heavy groveling. I thought this book would offer the same, but it surprised me in a lot of ways.
Basically, the fmc Leena found herself turned into a shifter, and this is a big deal because the shifters were cursed to not have female shifters and only male ones.
Leena took it really hard especially when she had to keep it a secret from her sister Abby. Then she also tried so hard to fight her obvious bond between her and Declan, her fated mate.
A lot went on from there including the vampires and the faes. There was even a huge plot twist at the end that was just revealed all of a sudden, without foreshadowing or a good story scaffolding.
I was pissed at how this book ended lmfao and I just want Leena and Declan to have their hea. I feel so bad for Declan, he was literally committed and devoted to Leena even at the beginning when she was all stubborn and confused.
The next book will be the conclusion to Leena and Declan's story, though not the end of the series because there are still other couples who're gonna get their own books.
Alright.
First of all, the shifter dynamics was different, and that in itself separates this book from the other shifter stories out there. There were a lot of elements included, such as vampires and faes, which was not new but entirely deviated from your regular omegaverse.
So instead of being a paranormal romance, it's more of a fantasy romance. The thing is, shifter romances work because they only focus on just being that - a shifter romance. I'm all for incorporating other creatures... As long as it's done in a clean way.
Next, the story needs to be scaffolded otherwise it'll just be a jumble of characters doing this and that with the plot going back and forth, things getting added without foreshadowing so it just seem like a cheap shot attempt at a riveting plot twist.
At first this book was about Leena turning into a shifter, fighting against her bond to her mate Declan. Then it became a mess with the vampires then the fae, which we haven't been introduced to until the moment seems convenient.
It was about Declan's pack having an unworthy alpha heir who wants Leena as his own mate, then it turns out that the fae plays a larger role with this story vomit about a betrayal that offset the curse of the shifters.
All of the info dump made my head hurt and I didn't even mention all the side characters whose storyline was given emphasis when it's not their book yet. So that added to my anxiety to try to keep up lmfao.
It'd be better if the set up was good, like if the story was built up slowly, but no. It was all telling and no showing.
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶 Written in first person Switched POV to multiple perspectives
I accidentally finished the whole book in one sitting. I was so absorbed into the story line, I 100% lost track of time. I love love love fated mates PRN, add in some mystery, and I’m hooked. Krystyna Allyn really took it to the best next level with this paranormal romance.
The story follows Leena and Declan as they navigate being a wolf shifter in pack life, fated mates, an awful curse, and unseen enemies. I truly didn’t know what was going to happen next. We meet some interesting characters along the way, and I’m unsure who I’m going to trust. There’s so many lies and power plays going on in the background too.
I absolutely loved how Leena and Declan’s relationship bloomed. Most times fated mates have that instalove connection, but just because they had that instant list, they took their time to get to know each other. Seeing then not rushed avoided so much unnecessary drama sometimes I see in fated mates. It also helps that they truly were good people ready to trust each other fully.
The reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I truly didn’t like the ending. I can’t give much away without spoiling it, but the ending just didn’t settle right with me. It’s a fantastic paranormal romance though.
That cliffhanger!!!! Omg im just literally dying now to find out what happens with Declan and Leena along with Ric, Jude, and everyone else.... wow!! Love, love, love this book!!!
Leena is attacked by a wolf shifter one night as she was trying to get to her foster sisters house, but undead of dying like all females have been, she actually transitions into the first she-wolf in centuries. This, of course, sends the male wolves in her new pack to go off in a frenzy. But she only has eyes for one of them....Declan... who also realizes that she's his fated mate. But there are just not wolves in this new paranormal world Leena finds herself in But also vampires, fae, wraiths, and a high witch. And she's the new hot commodity in town. There is a sinister plot to sell her off to an unknown person, and they nearly succeed a few times. But Leena has to bond with her new wolf mate to help save her... or will it even matter??? There is definitely a much more sinister plot at hand and it'll blow your mind to see how it all connects!!! But that ending.....gaaaahhhhh!!!! The next book can't come out fast enough!!!
I will readily admit that I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. While I am a huge fan of paranormal romance, I feel these types of books are often a tad too formulaic and predictable. However, in Twisted Origin, the author puts her own unique spin on an old favorite, leaving me incredibly impressed. The story was beautifully written with rich world-building and unique characters. It takes the reader on a fantastical adventure they won’t soon forget.
Leena had survived life in the foster care system to then be introduced to a whole new supernatural world in the most traumatic way possible. She meets Declan, who is a member of the Mac Tíre Guard; a group tasked with policing shifters in the area. Their attraction toward one another is apparent from the start.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It is the perfect story for readers who enjoy paranormal romance. The story ends with a cliffhanger, which left me a little disappointed. However, it was done in such a way that left me excited to see what happens next. I’m sure that the conclusion to Lenna and Declan’s story arc will be phenomenal!
I entered a fascinating world when I opened this book.
Werewolves, vampires, and faes are something to behold in all their glory.
Leena finds herself at the center of a paranormal hurricane when she survives a werewolf bite to become one - the first of her kind. Being the only female to survive a bite, she realizes the political ramifications that entails. Glad she has her mate - Declan - there to help though their bond is extremely fragile as enemies close in.
This book had me turning the pages with the twists and turns the story took. Declan and Leena’s banter and scenes were on point and super steamy. Dying to see what transpires in the next book and other ones focusing on other characters who jumped off the pages. Be prepared to want to strangle some characters- Gerard- who are irredeemable.
I never read shifter romance because I didn't think it was "my thing," but damn.. this definitely changed my mind!
First, a huge shout out to Krystyna for her amazing glossary in the beginning of the book. She did so much research into terms and names and it shows. I appreciate the heck out of her for that.
Second, this story was amazing. Hooked from the start. I really loved the twists and turns. Cannot wait to get my hands on the rest if this series, so please write quickly😂😍
If you are into paranormal stories, then this one is for you. Leena and Declan are shifters and mates. They are finding their way in pack life together. However, there are other things happening around them that cause for drama and mystery. What will happen for them? Will more chaos continue?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. It's a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Krystyna Allyn exposes a wide variety of magical creatures against the backdrop of a vividly imagined supernatural world. Leena & Declan navigate their fated union while fighting external forces that are determined to keep them apart. With an enthralling plot and magnetic characters, I eagerly flipped the pages, and was left yearning for more. Fans of romance and supernatural literature will both be enthralled by the author's tale, which deftly blends the themes of fate, love, and the paranormal.
This is my first Krystyna Allyn book. I have friends who rave about her writing and have been telling me to read her books for a while. WHY DID I WAIT THIS LONG TO LISTEN TO THEM? This book is AMAZING! It was everything that I needed to feed my love for paranormal romance and suspense. I am so excited to see where this series goes in the next books (and yes, I am selfishly saying there needs to be more than one more book in this series).
I am a newbie to paranormal romance and have read a few disappointing titles. I'm familiar with Krystyna Allyn's work and am now in awe of her supernatural world!
Who knew wolves, vampires, wraiths, and faes could be so much fun!! Leena's survivor story and Declan's need to protect her drew me in and kept me riveted. This story had me up most of the night glued to my kindle and finished in one sitting. Then there's the surprise ending. I can't wait for book two!
I was pulled into this story immediately from the start. The story was intriguing and I loved the romance that blossomed between fated mates Declan and Lanie. The amount of twists and turns this story brought kept me on the edge of my seat! It does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Jae Delane and Robert Hatchet narrated this book and did a great job bringing this world to life. I highly enjoyed both of their performances.
I’ve been reading Krystyna Allyn for a while now. I’ve always loved her books. Her banter is always off the charts. Her story arcs are always well thought out. She’s an auto buy for me.
Friends…….I THOUGHT I knew Krystyna. But I was wrong. After reading Twisted Origin she revealed she has an even deeper talent than I ever imagined.
**Mind Blown**
Twisted Origin is complex, dark, twisted (pun intended 🤣) and down right amazing. If you’re a fan of a complicated world with a crazy horrific curse attached to it and a kick butt heroine then this is the book for you!
Declan and Leena forever!!!!! I need book 2 STAT!!!!!!
Wow! I mean, that sums it up for a few reasons. The story was intriguing, the characters gripping, and I was sitting on the edge quite a few times! And the ending…AH!! And I didn’t know there another to come, so I kept checking going WAIT, THERE’S NOT ENOUGH TIME!!! 😂 That’s when you know it’s got you. I cannot wait for the next book!!
this was a perfect fantasy novel, it had witches, vampires and shifters. It was a great story and I really enjoyed the romance that was happening. I enjoyed the way Krystyna Allyn wrote the book and look forward to more in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a start to the series Leena meets Jude a cursed Lycan. He attacks her but she survives and so it begins. Declan realizes she is still alive, with the alpha wanting a mate where does that leave Leena? First read by this author can’t wait for the next one.

This book!! I totally fell in love with these characters. But the title is the perfect description of this book. It is awesome, but the end!!! Ugh…I need book two NOW!!!
The only thing that really irritated (besides the turn the story took) is the way all these crazy things happen at the end, and it felt so rushed and so BAM in your face, that I felt anxious and frustrated.
But you know I’m continuing on with the series! Would I recommend this to those who love Paranormal Romance? YES, TOTALLY!! READ THIS!!!
Twisted Origin is my first book by Krystyna Allyn and is my first out my box read. Declan and Leena's story is action packed and filled all sorts of paranormal elements. I really enjoyed reading this book I can't wait to see what's next.
This book was so good and I can’t wait to read more! You are instantly drawn into this book. You start with learning about the curse and it takes off from there. It doesn’t have a huge cliffhanger but definitely leaves needing to know what happens next.
