Chris Vaughn doesn’t want to be seen as Hollywood’s sexiest bad boy anymore. He wants to make the movie he’s dreamed of ever since he was a child. And the pretty beach town of Angel Sands is the perfect place to do it.
There’s one small problem. He needs a nanny for his six-year-old daughter. And fast.
Enter Chelsea Kennedy.
She’s the perfect caregiver on paper. And more than easy on the eye. It’s a shame she left her last job under a dark cloud and she won’t tell him why.
Taking a punt on her is a risk. She’s trouble with a capital ‘T’. But it’s not as though either of them is going to do something stupid.
Like spend long evenings falling for each other. Or long nights together tangled between his sheets.
Somebody’s going to get hurt. Maybe everybody will. But he just can’t help himself…
Carrie Elks is an international bestselling author of traditionally-published and self-published novels. Her books are sweet yet sexy contemporary small town romance stories. You can find her in all these places:
This was a fun and entertaining read with lively characters and engaging storylines full of light humor and several gasp-inducing steamy bits. The writing was delightfully breezy, engaging, and easy to follow with endearing characters, adorable children, and a despisable villain. I have savored other installments of this series and have this author on my list of favorites as I idolize her word skills, smooth storytelling, and appealing writing style.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.
I can’t remember the last time that I read a romance story about a nanny and her boss so I was really excited about reading this one (especially because the main man character is a famous Hollywood actor too) and I’m happy to say that I really enjoyed it. ‘Lost in him’ is the story about Hollywood actor Chris Vaugh, who’s divorced and has a six year old daughter Luna. Just when his lifelong dream of producing his own movie comes true, his ex-wife Anya changes her summer plans which means that his daughter Luna will spend the summer with him. Any other summer Chris would love the change but not now when he’s acting in a new movie and producing it too! So now he has to find a new nanny fast for his little girl. Chelsea loves being a nanny. She loves children. Sadly she had to leave her last nanny position very suddenly because of bad circumstances, so now she’s looking for a new job as a nanny. However, it’s harder than she thought to find a new family (because the family she worked for won’t give her a reference). So Chelsea’s thrilled to be working for Hollywood actor Chris Vaughn. His daughter Luna is a very sweet girl and the fact that she can spend the summer in Angel Sands, the town where she grew up in and where her family still lives, is an extra bonus. Both Chris and Chelsea have to get used to each other and the fact that Chris is a bit suspicious of Chelsea doesn’t really help their work relationship. But after some struggles, they come to a good understanding and trust grows between them. And because they spend so many evenings together, something else is starting to grow between them too and soon they cross the line between boss and nanny into something more! Can there be a future for them or will a misunderstanding drive them apart?
Although ‘Lost in him’ is part of a series, just like all the other stories in the ‘Angel Sands’ series this story can be read as a standalone. But if you have read the first book ‘Let me burn’ than you will recognize Chelsea’s sister Ember. She’s the main female character in that book. It’s wonderful to meet her again and see how she, Lucas and their son are doing.
The story is told from both POV’s. Chris and Chelsea are both great characters. Chris is considerate, respectful, thoughtful, hard-working and dependable. He’s strong but he also has a very vulnerable side (that he hides from the world). Because of what happened in his childhood with his father and later with his ex-wife he has trust issues and that causes problems in his relationship with Chelsea. Chelsea is a warm, caring, intelligent and trustworthy woman. She really cares for Luna. She has a great sense of responsibility. No matter what happens she’s always there for Luna. She’s a great nanny. I liked how she reacted when Chris did her wrong and how they made up. If you have read books of his writer, you know that her stories are sweet, well writing, with little drama and a few sex scenes. For me, I find her stories very relaxing and sweet. Perfect if you want to relax for a few hours.
Chris’s daughter Luna is such a sweet and cute little girl. I love her! Another secondary character that I like very much is Chris’s PA Neil. He has humor, is very helpful, friendly and is a really good friend to both Chris and Chelsea. And of course, you get to see a lot of other familiar faces again. That’s the positive of reading a series! There is an epilogue too and I enjoyed every word of it AND the writer even gives us an extra epilogue and I loved that even more!!!
‘Lost in him’ is a great addition to the ‘Angel Sands’ series and another wonderful summer read.
The grovel should be proportionate to the level of hurt inflicted. He called her dumpy to his ex wife. He accused her of being a gold digger. He thought she was baby trapping him and said awful things to her. The resolution? SHE goes to HIM. She shows up to his house and six sentences later she’s telling him to touch her and she’s his.
I have a problem with grown woman calling their partners “daddy” because I can’t comprehend why people think this is sexy and this happens a lot in books about nanny dating the boss like this one. Even so, I liked this book although I knew I would because it’s Carrie Elks and she always writes sweet, fun and sexy books.
Chelsea is hired to take care of a famous actor’s little girl and end up falling in love and it’s basically it, not much else to the story.
It’s not clear what happened with her career at the end and what she end up doing and this bothered me. Also, there is a scene with the hero’s dad for example that I felt like she made it seam like it was important but then it wasn’t and it could have been taken off the book easily.
With that being said it’s a sweet and easy read, small town vibes and a lit of bit of spicy.
Chris and Chelsea may be by far my favorite Angel Sands couple. Chris, a guarded actor, with good reason, is in Angel Sands to make a film and unexpectedly has his daughter for the summer with him. He needs a nanny quickly and Chelsea is it, until he can find someone better that is. Cue overprotectiveness and one night they share that changes everything. Can they find love in a world where rose colored glasses do more harm than good? You have to read this one to find out!
I loved being back in Angel Sands for Chris and Chelsea’s story. So good to have familiar characters appearing as well. Carrie’s writing is a great mix of romance and steamy hot action …. I don’t think I could’ve resisted Chris either!! Highly recommend all the books in this series (and everything else by Carrie).
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.
As usual, Carrie Elks pulled me into the world of Angel Sands and the magic it weaves around those who visit or live there. I loved the story of Chris and Chelsea. His protectiveness of his daughter that extended to her. The way she understood him and helped him to trust and to smile again. The way they fell in love, fell apart, and came back together. A beautifully written story, great backdrop, revisits from old friends, and a new love.
As always, Carrie sweeps my feed away with her words. they go right into your heart and stay there forever. Lost In Him is no exception, it's heartwarming, beautiful and it hurts. It has a plot twist I didn't see coming but hey, it makes the book one of my favorites. If you love, like me, small towns romance, Carrie is your Queen. <3
(Possible spoilers ahead) I was not a fan of H. He was an a-hole in the beginning, was decent in the middle, and went full on d-bag at the end.
h was way too timid. Really the only personality she had was she loved kids. She did absolutely nothing this whole book except play with the kid. Personally, I had a hard time understanding what made H want her so bad except she was THERE.
*Spoilers* So the main conflict was why was h fired from her previous nanny job that she had to sign an NDA for. She watched the couple’s young children. Their 17 year old son was expelled from school so he came home. He was over her in bed one night when she woke up (pleasuring himself) h screamed. The family came and went through his phone. Found a bunch of pictures of h on his phone (that she didn’t know about) He was a disturbed kid who needed help. They blamed her and fired her. (Ugh I have so many questions about this whole plot)
Anyway, so H is in a bind due to his trashy ex just dumping the kid off at his house for the summer. (Eyeroll because he’s a billionaire. It’s not like his job is a warehouse stocker or something) He takes a chance on hiring h. She is like Mary poppins. For 30% of the book, he’s an a-hole about her babysitting style. Even though he needs her more than she needs him he continues to treat her bad. She continues to put up with it because he’s so hawt. 🤪
Finally, he gives in. They agree to just one night. Haha it’s the bEsT tHeY bOtH hAD! They do talk about birth control. Supposedly, H is paranoid about protection. (His ex trapped him with a pregnancy and she lied about birth control) ummmm, so he decides it’s okay to go without a condom. 😂😂😂 Literally, there is one part where h is swearing to him she would never trap him with a baby.
So during all this, trashy ex texts/talks with H. She wants h fired. She’s also sending him questionable pictures. She finally just shows up one day and h overhears H tell his ex that h is just some frumpy woman and not his type.
Then the main 3rd act breakup. h helps her sister get a pregnancy test. It’s positive and it ends up in h’s purse by mistake. Dun dun dun. The next morning, H happens to find the positive pregnancy test and LOSES HIS FKING MIND The things this man said to this h made me want to dislocate his nose. Thankfully, she does remain calm during his freak out and she calmly explains it’s her sisters. He’s like 😱 I’M SORRY! Her tiny backbone helps her pack her stuff and leave. Yesssss!
Then a big ugh when she still decides to watch the kid so it doesn’t leave him in a bind. She spends a week boo-hooing to her sister/friends. They don’t encourage her to have a backbone and make him grovel…….at the very least. Nah, this group of friends continues to make excuses for H.
Finally, h decides to storm his mansion’s gate and talk with him. He tells her he loves her. And that he does want babies with her. WTF?????? That’s the grovel.
The epilogue is where they are engaged and now the kid lives with them full time. It’s gives no real updates on the trashy ex. I guess h is now just a full time Nanny/Mommy/fiancée I finished this book thinking to myself “well, I guess the a-hole doesn’t have to worry about finding a nanny anymore” 🙃
Chelsea Kennedy has had some bad luck. As a nanny, her job requires an impeccable reputation and good references. Unfortunately, her last job ended badly, which means there's no reference and a hit to her reputation - through no fault of her own, but an NDA prevents her from disclosing this. When she is offered a chance at a new job, away from LA and its gossip for the summer, she is eager to get the job and prove her worth.
Her new boss is Chris Vaughn, a famous Hollywood actor producing his first movie. His ex has unexpectedly left their daughter Luna with him for the summer, leading him to need a nanny at very short notice. Due to slim pickings he decides to hire Chelsea, despite her lack of recent reference.
This get off to a somewhat rocky start, not in the least due to Chris' trust issues. So while they're in Chelsea's hometown of Angel Sands, he wants to restrict them to the villa he's rented. Chelsea is understandably worried that Luna will get bored, but she knows she needs to work up to venturing further afield. Another complication is that they're both very attracted to the other, but try to fight this, as it wouldn't be professional.
Being back in Angel Sands, we get to spend time with some of the other characters from the series. There are also some new characters, such as Chris' assistant Neil, who is a delight.
As Chris and Chelsea get closer, they open up to each other about struggles from their past. Chris learns that Chelsea is strong, determined and caring, and he slowly lets her in and starts to trust her. And while his killer looks don't hurt, what truly draws Chelsea to Chris is how he cares for his daughter and tries to be the best father he can be. His protectiveness is endearing.
As you can imagine, they fail to resist temptation, which puts Chelsea in a difficult position should anyone find out. As they try to come up with a solution, other things happen that tear them apart, and Chris needs to take some decisive action to fix this mess.
This is another beautifully written story set in a SoCal beach town I think we'd all like to move to. Chelsea's bond with Luna is lovely, and her chemistry with Chris is off the charts.
This was a sweet romance between 2 people who were drifting in the wind looking for their anchor. I really liked Chelsea and Chris. I loved the way she was with his girl. She was patient and affectionate. I loved her even more when the drama took control, she didn't want her to suffer and decided to look after her. Chris was a little hard to warm up too. He was juggling a lot and needed all the help he could get. When he first laid his eyes on Chelsea he could help but wanted to help her. The more time they spent together the more you could see and feel how well they complimented each other.
This story will leave you with a huge smile on your face, because who doesn’t love a story about friends and family having each other’s back no matter how bad one screws up. 😊
Excellent story. Chelsea was a nanny for Chris who was a movie star and now a producer. When his ex dropped their 6 yr old daughter for the summer, he needed a nanny fast. It helped that she was from the town they would be shooting in. He had trouble trusting her, but eventually he got over it and they got very close. His ex tried to cause trouble and a misunderstanding broke them for awhile. He finally realized what he had done and how much he loved her. They finally talked and got their HEA. They were great characters and Luna was a sweetheart.
I got this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review
In ‘Lost In Him’ we meet Chelsea Kennedy and Chris Vaughn. Chelsea is a nanny, who just ended a job poorly. Not knowing what to do, or how she should continue working as a nanny, she is desperately thinking of ways she can find a new job. But luck finds her, when she gets offered a job of working as a nanny for Hollywood actor Chris Vaughn. Better yet, it’s a job in her old hometown Angel Sands. Now she has a way of making money, and she’s close to her mom and sister.
Chris’s ex-wife changed her plans, and now Chris has his 6 year old daughter staying with him for the whole summer. But he is also starting a new movie. Luckily for him, Chelsea is available to be his nanny. And Chelsea and his daughter click right away. Unfortunately for Chris, from the moment he met Chelsea he can’t stop thinking about her. Chris is used to people betraying him, and he isn’t convinced Chelsea is any different.
I just love reading this series. There is something magical about Angel Sands, and especially the characters that live there. And from the moment I started reading, I loved the story of Chelsea and Chris. This book is written through both their point of views, and I loved getting to know these characters. Their lives couldn’t have been more different, but at the same time they had a lot in common. Chelsea and Chris definitely shouldn’t fall in love, but after meeting each other there wasn’t a way they could not.
I loved Chris’s character the most. He was just so charming, and handsome but also kind and there was a lot more to his story than you’d think in the beginning. The best moments where definitely those when he interacted with his little girl. He is such a great father, and these moments definitely made me swoon.
The romance between Chelsea and Chris was just lovely. And I rooted for them right from the start. Their where plenty of steamy moments, but mostly just swoon-worthy moments that made me wish I could have kept on reading this book for a lot longer.
‘Lost in Him’ was a great read, I loved from start to finish.

Review: I am fan of this author and enjoyed this book. There were moments when I wanted to smack the MMC. You come to understand him, but he is supposed to be older and the maturity at times just isn't there. The FMC comes across as loving and strong. I loved how she stood up for herself yet still had moments of weakness. I also enjoyed the side characters.

Another beautiful addition to this wonderfully addictive series set in the seaside town of Angel Sands.
Carrie Elks is a wonderful storyteller and Lost in Him, the 9th (and sadly the last) book in this series, did not disappoint.
Chelsea Kennedy is looking for a new job as a nanny. Chris Vaughn, sexy, blue eyed Hollywood actor and producer happens to need a nanny to look after his 6 year old daughter Luna while he is filming on location near Chelsea’s home town of Angel Sands.
Chris isn’t very trusting, especially when it comes to hiring a nanny to care for his precious little girl. Chelsea left her previous employment under a dark cloud and without a reference, so why would Chris even consider employing Chelsea. However, there’s something about this beautiful strong young woman and cautiously Chris feels he should give her a chance.
Chris soon sees what a caring, intelligent and beautiful woman Chelsea is and before long he opens up and learns to trust again. Likewise, Chelsea can see what a good man and father Chris is, and very soon their undeniable attraction leads to feelings both know they shouldn’t have.
A captivating and beautifully written story with many swoon worthy moments, just a small amount of angst, and some very steamy, breathtaking moments.
I will conclude this review with my favourite quote from the book…
“If she knew one thing, it was that hopes were like those little dandelion seeds that danced in the wind. Ephemeral and impossible to capture.”
Another 5 star read from this super talented author!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lost In Him By Carrie Elks was such a delight to read. I Loved it!! Chris and Chelsea are so hot together. Chris is a very famous hollywood actor who is very protective of his daughter Luna, and who has trust issues, because of a loser father and a gold digging Ex Wife. He is in desperate need of a Nanny to take care of Luna while he makes his movie. Chelsea is a great Nanny but has a big black stain on her reputation because the previous family won't give her a reference, and the secrecy of why is prevening her from getting jobs. But surprisingly she gets the job to take care of Chris's 6 year old daughter for the Summer. I loved the way Chelsea swept into Chris's life and turned it upside down.He opened up to her and became more relaxed when it came to his daughter.Allowing her to be a 6 year old girl for once instead of being a prisoner in the house because of his over protectiveness.Chelsea also opened up to Chris about her secret with the previous family and they couldn't deny the attraction that drew them together more each day. I Loved this couple especially when they were together because through Carrie's exceptional writing you could feel their passion for one another. I relished every word of this story it was the perfect balance of sexy and romantic with minimum angst, adorable characters you can't help but care for,and an addictive storyline that had you turning the pages in anticipation of what would happen next. A Superb read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I Highly recommend it. 5 Stars.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy. Chris Vaughn is a movie star getting ready for a big role as well as producing the movie when his ex wife decides to drop their little girl, Luna on him for the summer. Luna was going to England with his ex for the summer so Chris had moved his schedule around for the new movie. Chris has to scramble to find a nanny to help him with Luna in a week's time. After interviewing several nannies Chris and Neil his assistant like Chelsea Kennedy but she does not have a recent reference even though she comes highly recommended. Chris decides to give Chelsea a chance and hires her as they travel to Angela Sands her home town where Chris is filming.
I really liked how Chelsea built a strong relationship with Luna before she did with Chris. She really cared for Luna and wanted only the best for her, which is more than her mother does. Chris and Chelsea slowly grow closer from friends to lovers.
Of course there is the bump in the road and for me it was kind of a big bump because Chris talked to Chelsea so horribly I was worried there was no coming back from that. I get the ex wife caused him to be gun shy but he was a participating adult so some of that was on him to blame Chelsea was low. Chris does the grand gesture and does gravel to try and get back in Chelsea good graces. Will Chelsea forgive Chris or walk away?
🌅Great addition to series, loved the little'un👨👩👧 4.5🌟 stars A good plot, really adorable child and sizzling intimate moments, this boss and nanny romance was a perfect addition to the series. It focuses on nanny Chelsea, who grew up in Angel Sands and still has family and friends galore there, and divorced actor/producer Chris, the father of a five year-old sweetie named Luna. Chris unexpectedly gets custody of his daughter for the summer while he's shooting a movie on location in Angel Sands and needs a nanny stat!
Chelsea is good, sweet, kind, magic with kids, and seriously smitten with the new boss who gave her a job when she'd fallen out of favor in the L.A. nanny network due to problems with her previous employers. Of the two leads in the romance, she was definitely my favorite. Chris makes some ill-advised moves and has an edge of stern task master as he gets very controlling and judgmental at times (though, granted, it's often with a view to protecting his daughter). When he gets stressed, he too often lashes out at the wrong person. But, that's part of the conflict in the story that sets up a great make-up, reunion.
I love romances with children and Luna was a standout: not too precocious but bubbly and so loving.
The romance is definitely heated, actually a bit more so than I needed, but no cheating.
It's been a while since the previous book in the series and I liked that the story, though it brings in characters from earlier books, flows well as a standalone. I only had a vague recollection of the previous books and it did not matter.
I enjoyed it😊.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
The romance between Chelsea and Chris is everything I could have wanted and Carrie Elks wrote the angst and the miscommunication(which I normally dislike in my romances) between the couple so understandable that I wasn’t bothered by it at all.
It is a Nanny/single father and celebrity romance. It is about falling in love while being in a situation where it is very wrong. It is very much about trust both in leaving your child in the care of a person you don’t know and giving your heart to a person that has a lot of baggage and has difficulties trusting in another person. It is about building yourself up again after both having your professional integrity questioned and having your heart trampled so much on that you are afraid of giving all of it to another person.
I fell in love with all of the main characters and Chris’s daughter Luna is such a joy to read about. I also loved Neil Chris’s assistant and their voice of reason throughout the story together with Amber(Chelsea’s sister who found her HEA in the first book in the Angel Sands series).
I can’t believe that this series is done but I must say that this is a great way to finish the series. It ended on a high and I am going to miss all the characters soooooo much. This is a series I am going to reread when I need some comfort and happiness in my life and I am so happy that the first book in the series is translated into Danish and hope that they continue to translate it in the future.
I can definitely recommend this book.
I read this book as an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Chelsea is well liked, well established nanny and has worked with several families. She is now is a difficult position, which because of a NDA is unable to say why she is now without a reference from her last employer. As the agency manager says, 'this is LA and appearances matter' so the mother refuses to give a reason, but it is nothing connected to the child or the care she received - read between the lines she describes it as a difference in opinion. Chris is under pressure in his job, his life and from his ex wife Anya. His daughter is the centre of his life and because of his ex wife, all the plans made have been thrust into chaos. He desperately needs a nanny and hiring someone without a reference is a big step to take, but Chelsea on paper and her outward appearance makes her ideal. Various issues plays a big part within the dynamics of the relationship. Chelsea is focused on her charge rather than being a simpering fan girl over her actor/producer employer. He has issues over his ex wife. Friendship and trust are given slowly as the the relationship develops. There are also two resolute and grounded people in the background ( his PA & her sister) as the voices of reason when things seem to be off kilter.
Lost in Him is perfect in every possible way: a single dad with an adorable six-year-old daughter, a good-hearted nanny, a bit of an age gap, and the gorgeous coastal town of Angel Sands. A dreamy and feel-good story that I couldn't put down.
Chris might be one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood but he is very guarded and overprotective, especially when it comes to his daughter. When his ex drops her at her door just before he is set to start filming the movie he is producing, he needs to find a trustworthy nanny in record time.
Chelsea was made to work with kids, and she loves being a nanny. But when one of her former bosses refuses to give her a reference, her work options seem almost nonexistent. Until a vacancy to work for Chris Vaughn comes in. While he has serious trust issues, he takes a gamble and offers Chelsea the position. Their work relationship is complicated, he is harsh with her, and they struggle.
As the days go by and Chris begins to really get to know Chelsie, not only does he start to trust her but he falls for her. Seeing the big Holywood actor confide in Chelsie and become protective of her is heartwarming. Will he be able to let go of his fears and embrace the future?
Lost in Him is a great read that adds to the Angel Sands series. I loved catching up with some of the other characters from the series.
ARC review - Lost in Him (Angel Sands book 9) by @carrie.elks - Chris is a movie star who needs a nanny. Chelsea is a nanny who needs a job, but who left her previous role under a cloud. When Chris needs a nanny in a hurry he decides to give Chelsea a chance. Chris’s past has made him not be very trusting and Chelsea finds it difficult at first when he is so stifling with what she can do with his daughter Luna. Even although he doesn’t trust her he is attracted to her and she is to him. They both know that being together is not a good idea, but the more time they spend together the stronger the attraction becomes and when he sees how she is with Luna he starts to trust her more. There are little snippets of Angel Sands in the story and you see characters from previous books, but I think I would have liked a little more. Luna was so cute and I loved her connection with Chris and Chelsea. Chelsea was strong, loving and loyal. Chris was handsome, smart, lonely and closed off. He made her feel cared for and she gave him a sense of home. They made a great couple. The story made me sad when he was being a numpty (stupid) and smile at the end.
Love this series amazingly book nine in the Angel Sands starts in Los Angeles California, Chris Vaughn has a change to his summer schedule his ex Anya Sky insist on him having their daughter Luna earlier than planned his work starts at the beach town of angel sands ahead of eight weeks of filming so he needs to sort out a nanny. Chelsea Kennedy is employed and is looking forward to going back to her old town that she grew up in and be near her family. A few hic ups happen but she is a good nanny to Luna and this is a perfect place for children. And this couple go through more downs than ups in the relationship and the bond of love is so unmistakeable to all but its all about trust. I so adored this story and this authors work and you get so worked up over the trivial things then everything starts to unravel in the story with a happy end. I always look forward to all these stories and they are all a favourite for me. All special in their own way and if I had the chance to go to angel sands I would jump on that plane its a beautiful perfect place to visit. Such a lovely perfect read to take away your everyday life and worries. Loved this story.
The Angel Sands series is a beautiful series. This is the first book I've read by Ms Elks and I'm instantly hooked and looking forward to the other parts that I will definitely read. The story of Chelsea and Chris reads well, Chris is a single father of a daughter named Luna. Not wanting to be known as the hottest bad boy in Hollywood anymore, Chris finally wants to make his dream come true in Angel Sands. The problem is that he needs a nanny for his daughter Luna. Chelsea is suitable and comes across well on paper. Chelsea has left her previous client and will not say what the reason was. Because Chris is hesitant to hire her because he doesn't know the reason for her departure. When Chris sees that Luna and Chelsea click right away, he agrees. At first they have a hard time Chris is busy with his film and later it turns out that the release and making of his film depends on there being no scandals or hidden secrets, things are made difficult by Chelsea and her departure. Will Chris fire her? Who's to say. This is a must!
I received a free copy of this book from BookFunnel for an ARC review and I am giving my honest review.
Going back to Angel Sands is like taking a trip back home as we get to learn what has been happening with characters from previous books. Chelsea Kennedy is from Angel Sands so when this short-term nanny positions becomes available, it would seem she's perfect for the position. If only she can past the part where the last family she worked for won't give her a reference. Chris hasn't much choice in finding a nanny due to his ex-wife's last minute change of plans resulting in his having his daughter for the summer. The last thing either of them expected was the attraction they felt for each other, especially the more time they spent together.
Chelsea is a loving person and is able to connect with Luna quickly. And her training serves her well as different circumstances arise with Luna. Chris's trust of Chelsea grows more as time goes by, but so does his attraction to her. And the attraction isn't one-sided. The only question is whether they will become the next scandal or find their happily-ever-after.

Notes/Opinion (personal):
A simple story of finding what comes next for two people who have lost their way a bit. This is an easy and quick (at least for me) read, low on drama or unbelievable situations. I love this author’s books for just that reason: real people, real situations and a lovely story.
I love every chance we get to come back to Angel Sands. Not only do we get to revisit our favorite quirky town residents, but I also know that the story is going to sweep me away. This time, it wasn’t just the emotions dragging me out to sea, but the pomp and hullaballoo of the Hollywood machine as well. Right off the mark I connected with these characters. All of them are struggling with things but not being entirely successful at overcoming them. Chris has a toxic ex, and along with his daughter Luna, they’ve got some pretty serious family drama. Chelsea is just trying to save her career after her last disastrous job. But with her story legally silenced, she can’t even defend her reputation. Together, these lost and slightly broken souls might be the answer to heal one another and find peace with their places in the world. Now that I’ve come to the end of this book, I don’t want to let go of any of these characters, and I kind of can’t wait until we get our next opportunity to visit Angel Sands. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
