Gabriel Augusta knew he was the rightful leader of the Augusta Coven, but recent events had soured the coven to the Augusta name.
To prove his worth, Gabriel would have to duel other potential leaders until just two witches remained, and then the witch trials could begin.
Mathis Stone knew he had been hot and cold since meeting his mate, Gabriel. An event from his past made Mathis think he was not worthy of having a mate.
But Gabriel was in trouble. It would seem someone in the witches’ coven was determined to be the new leader, and he does not care who he had to kill to make that happen.
The vampires were standing ready to help Gabriel, as were the wolves. Would they be in time to help Gabriel, and when secrets come to light, would Gabriel still want to be the new leader?
The STORY was great but basically Gabe and Mathis are only together for maybe two to three chapters. The rest is just Gabe fighting for his coven and Mathis waiting.... It's everything else that was good but this felt more like a very very long Novella. Nothing really about the couple. And the ending was like bam the end. It felt unfinished since Mathis left to help Gavin and then Gabe delt with Coven stuff again alone with out his mate. Idk if I'll read the next one. I want more of the couple being well a COUPLE and being together, fighting together. Along with the story. And this felt like it was just bits and pieces and Gabe and Mathis were an after thought, like a continuation of Gabe and Mathis's first book. Like Gabe and Mathis book 2 how Gabe deals with the coven.
Loved this book! Mathis and gabe's story was as good as I'd hoped it would be. I wished I'd taken the time to go back and reread the other two books before jumping into this one though, because there are A LOT of characters and A LOT happened in the vampire and the general that directly ties to this. Not sure why this is listed as book 2 in the series when its actually book 3 but whateves.
Unfortunately, the book ends teasing at the new arc but with no indication of who or when or anything really to hint at the next book. Kind of irritating but honestly, that plot ran its course and its naturally lead to the next. I'm just greedy and want it all now.
Really liked this book and REALLY want more from this series. E. Broom is a rockstar!
Gabe has proven to be a really powerful witch but he has to prove himself to a his coven. All of which thought him to be weak. Well he proves he is not! With his alliance with the Vampires, wolves and a few mediums, his witches will get to the bottom of all the evils that were done. Mathis is his vampire mate and his mission is to Support and Protect his mate. Gavin and Raz are his siblings who stand be his and Gabe's side through it all. I really want Gavin and Hunter next being that they met and have been dating for a while now. He still has to tell Hunter that he is a vampire.
Book three of the The Vampire and... series ends with both a HEA for the main characters as well as a cliffhanger for the series. After a rough start because Gabe is the younger brother to the witch who was out to overtake the vampire coven, Gabe and Mathius' mating doesn't get easier in this book as Gabe is challenged for his hereditary witch coven. But with the help of friends and found family, the pair get their HEA. Fun, fast moving story. A tad bloody, though.
I loved the stories in all 3 books. Characters are fun and light. But the editing is not good. A duelling cage is for combat. Dulling means getting less shiny. The names are getting mixed up. First it was Kevin then Keven and then Kevin. Dave's dad is Willard not Wallace. This throws you out of the story as you are trying to place the new name to a person. Even with this these books are still worth reading.
I have read the 3 books of the series and enjoyed them all, but I think I enjoyed this book just a little more. Loved Gabe and Mathias' characters and how strong they both are. Also loved reading about all the characters from the previous books. Recommend reading the series and this book.
A story that had it all and then some, this one I felt was a little more descriptive in some parts on the bloody bits not that I am squeamish or anything. I love the amount of cakes this lot consume. Please don't be too long with the next book. Recommend.
A very unlikely pairing, but it works here. E. Broom knows how to write a sexy, suspenseful book. Their style of writing hits every emotional button perfectly. I gobbled up books 1 through 3 of this sexy series in just days. I can not wait for more!!!
Absolutely love this series but now been more than a year wondering if we getting another book will say certain characters appear in standalone novel and definitely good read. Tho wondering now if he's connecting all his books cause vampires were mentioned in another series

I really like this book. Lots of action with different people and covens. I was a little startled at the end. But I really hope the next book comes out soon and explains some things. Lots of characters needing mates. !
I once again enjoyed reading another book in this series. The characters and the storyline were both entertaining and enjoyable. The author has proven to me to be a very talented writer.
These vamps wolves & witches are awesome oh and the cat also The love shows even with all the snark!!! There is lots of adventures going on but the love laughter & sarcasm rule the day - can't wait to the next book Thank you - Lori
I received an ARC of this book and I love it. It helps if you have read The Vampire and the General, but if you haven't you can pick the story up easily enough. Would totally recommend this book.
