As it says on the cover this book is designed to help you sort your life out.

Good clear advice can be found here. But to be honest nothing that you might not already have thought of.

But it does give you some good tools with which to put your ideas into action.

It is clearly written too.

This book is idiotic. Cohen peppers his banal advice with observations of some excruciatingly obvious wisdom (relaxed people tend to be calmer). His primary belief seems to be that in order to 'sort your life out' you should lose weight, so if you too believe that your finances, for example, will get better if you shed a stone, and want diet advice from someone with absolutely no qualification to give it, this may be the book for you. If, on the other hand, you think life is more complex than your dress size and you don't need someone to explain to you what the word 'confuse' means, look elsewhere. Don't give this charlatan your money.

When I first started reading the book I did not feel that the author's style of writing flowed very well and that the contents were nothing really new. That being said, the further i got into the book the better it read and there were lots of nuggets in there which are valuable.
I did not use the book how it suggests by completing written exercises but I have implemented some of the "tools" and I think I will re read this book again in the future

Although there’s lots of good advice in this book, it’s not always presented in the best way. It says it’s a 21-day programme, but it isn’t really - it just gives you various strategies to try for 21 days (e.g. cut out sugar). I imagine a 21-day programme to start with what to do on day 1, and so on. I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know, and I was a bit disappointed there wasn’t more emphasis on habit-formation and techniques.

It was Ok and has a lot of self-teachings but imho, it has lots of repeated sentences (which tires me) and could be written in a more interesting way to tell. Some of the teachings were highly questionable, like the taking care of the kids part. Seriously, if a kid were to be told to behave, they would be an isolated person later, but if they were raised too freely, wouldn't they become a wild person later? Correct me if I'm wrong though but to me, this part of teachings still not validated, yet.

Sort Your Life Out is a self-help book that is more like a workbook with tools and exercises that help you reach whatever goal the book is exploring. It's divided into sections where each section targets an aspect of your life: fitness, self-confidence, happiness, etc. Overall it wasn't just a fun read but also an enjoyable experience.

It's a good book and Pete's books are always interesting. But nothing stands out. Not like his Lighten Up book which was special.
