Windsor Academy #3

Fallen Heirs

Rate this book

Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive...

Pretty, pretentious little liars.

I’m surrounded by them everywhere I turn.

But I’m learning not everything is as it seems.

The ones who I thought were my enemies have become my greatest allies. And the ones who I severely underestimated turned out to be much eviler than I could’ve ever imagined.

They say money can’t buy happiness. Well...I’m here to tell you, it can certainly broker a deal with a devil.

And the funny thing about dealing with devils? They always come to collect. Too bad for them, I’m going to put up one helluva fight.

I’m stronger.

I’m ready.

And I’m going to love watching them fall.

•FALLEN HEIRS is NOT a why choose romance. It is the third book in the Windsor Academy series. This is the conclusion to Jazz and Kingston’s story and cannot be read as a standalone. It is a dark high school MF bully romance that may contain triggers for sensitive readers. Due to mature content, it is recommended for readers 17+.

Laura Lee is the USA Today bestselling author of sexy and seductive romance. She's best known for writing the Bedding the Billionaire series and the Windsor Academy series. She won her first writing contest at the ripe old age of nine, earning a trip to the state capital to showcase her manuscript. Thankfully for her, those early works will never see the light of day again! Laura lives in the Pacific Northwest with her extremely tolerant husband, two beautiful children, and some of the most ridiculously spoiled felines you’ll ever meet.

When she's not chauffeuring the kids around, writing, or watching HGTV, she probably has her nose in a book, with an iced matcha by her side. She's a sucker for spicy romances, always searching for new book boyfriends to add to her collection..

Fallen Heirs was worth every minute of the painful wait I had to endure. Laura Lee was pushing boundaries and had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation and anxiety.

Talk about my jaw on the floor, I kept asking how much more can Jasmine take? Both the character and myself!

Also, please excuse me while I wipe the drool from my mouth because boy Laura Lee knows how to bring the inferno. Kingston’s mouth was on straight filth and holy smokes was it hawt af. And when he went all romantic and swoony, well I just turn into a puddle of thirsty girl goo on the spot.

Oh what a wickedly crazy ride she took me on with Kingston and Jazz’s story! One minute I was at chapter one and when I looked back up I was three chapters away from the end and I saddened because I did not want to say goodbye to these two!

Fallen Heirs is book three in the Windsor Academy series by Laura Lee. Told in dual perspectives, this is the epic conclusion to Jasmine and Kingston's story. I've been waiting with bated breath for this book and boy did it deliver. It was the perfect mix of suspense, angst, twists and turns, witty banter and heaps of heat.

This book was as thrilling as it was sexy and filled to the brim with fast-paced adrenaline pumping scenes. It's unpredictable, unique and twisted in every sense of the word. All of the words in the world can't divulge just how much I loved it! Buckle up book lovers because this series takes you for one hell of a ride. All of the stars and more for Jazz, Kingston and Fallen Heirs!

— arc kindly provided in an exchange for an honest review —

Fallen Heirs is the 3rd and final book in the Windsor Academy trilogy. Kingston and Jasmine’s story has been such a wild ride and with everything they’ve been through, I personally think this book really showed just how strong they are.

Throughout the chapters it becomes more in depth the situations that have been happening and all the questions that are being asked. The answers become surprising and the more you read, the more reasoning you encounter.

Kingston and Jasmine are both strong characters and I found it so interesting the way Laura Lee has written them out to be. I was so intrigued with the plot lines that the author chose to go about. I absolutely loved their relationship development and character development.

I found Fallen Heirs to be the best ending for this amazing trilogy. I could honestly say I’m going to miss the banter between the characters, and most of all, the love.

I was counting the minutes for the moment Fallen Heirs hit my kindle, Windsor Academy isn’t just a series you read it’s addicting every word you read brings you deeper into the world on the pages allowing reality to fall away which is always the greatest of book highs.

Jazz and Kingston’s connection grew with each book however their emotional connection was more profound in Fallen Heirs making it explicitly clear that they are the other half of each other’s soul.

Kingston showed a whole new level of overzealous alpha which was insanely hot upping the steam level a few degrees. I admired Jazz she had a series of devastating events come at her one after the other, yet she never allowed those evils to take away the essence of who she had been before those events.

Fallen Heirs proves to be an epic conclusion to this all-consuming series. An impeccable balance of suspense, twists and turns, feels, high levels of STEAM, witty banter shared between the characters to bring a bit of lightness between heavy topics.

This is a top read of 2020 and will have a permanent place on my all-time favorite list. A beautifully written, compelling read that grabs your attention in the first book and doesn’t let go until the end of Fallen Heirs. The characters are well fleshed out, the writing places you inside the story to make you feel all of the characters emotions and battles like they are your very own. while these characters dealt with one thing after another I sat with tightness in my chest and bated breath waiting to see how the scene would play out.

Wow what a ride!
If you thought the last two books had you gripping the edge of your seat, then you’re gonna have a hard time holding on while reading book three! Jazz and Kingston are forced to face a situation much bigger than themselves, while trying to keep everyone they love safe in the process. They aren’t just battling one conflict, they have to take on a whole boatload of them. But with their undying love for each other, and the help of their amazing group of friends, they have the power to take on anything.
The chemistry really heats up between our hero and heroine, and suspense dials up to a thousand. Obstacles keep coming, and they will end in the only way they can— covered in blood, tears, and betrayal.
I loved this story, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it, because you will be captivated. I won’t go on about this story any further, at the risk of popping out spoilers, I will end this review with one command: read this book!

FIVE FALLEN STARS for Jazz and Kingston 💜🖤💜🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

AMAZING!!!

I can’t believe I finally read the last book of Jazz and Kingston's beautiful and painful love story.

As happy as I am to have had the opportunity to read the spectacular finale, I am just as sad because Jazz and Kingston stole my heart.

Laura has once again shown how skilled she is at writing and that each of her new books in the series is even better than the previous one.

"Fallen Heirs" is a dark bully high school romance with suspense romantic and enemies to lovers tropes.

Jazz is a female character who never gives up, no matter what hopeless situation she finds herself in, she will fight to the last breath.

Kingston is a male character who will do anything for the people he loves even if it means opposing his father.

His love for Jazz and her sister Belle is everything!

Jazz and Kingston's relationship was complicated from the beginning and went through many ups and downs but in the end, their love overcame everything and they got the perfect ending they deserved.

If you've read previous books from the "Windsor Academy" series and you also love dark bully high school romance, then this is the book for you!!!

Highly recommended!!!

P.S. Can't wait for Bentley's book 🔥🔥🔥!!!

P.S.S. He is MINE 😍❤🔥!!!

Ahhhh!!! THE CONCLUSION IS HERE!!

Let me first thank all my lucky stars that I got to read this book! I am so addicted to this series and waiting for this conclusion of this bully Romance trilogy was a torture for me. Jazz and Kingston are back here now! The conclusion of this trilogy was absolutely epic and I can't wait for you all to devour this one.

This story picks off right where the second book ended. There was a lot of mystery in this book and finally , all of my questions were answered which made me so happy! Jazz and Kingston are the perfect couple ever and their banter was one amazing thing that I looked forward too. At first I was a bit confused about this series being an MMF one , but then those doubts got cleared. It was a MF trilogy and an HEA too! I won't divulge much into the plot in order to avoid giving away any spoilers , but all I can tell you is this , this trilogy is something that you can't miss at any cost!! Absolutely marvelous!

A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there who are interested in themes like bully romance and a badass heroine!

The final ride for Jazz and Kingston.
Okay, this book had it all. Still, the dark and danger floated over our characters but their story really took off in this third installment.
The writing is amazing. I really recommend this series if you are looking for something different and well written.
In this book our heroes really grow and they connect more deeply.
I cannot wait to see what the author has in store for us next in the Windsor Academy.
Please read it.

One of the best Dark High School Bully Romance Trilogy that I have read this year!

This is one of my anticipated release for this year, and I can honestly say that I am not disappointed at all. It truly correspond my exuberant in reading this. Jazz and Kingston relationship is the epitome of a couple goals. Yes there are some hiccups and conflict that run it courses, yet it was handled fittingly, with the right balance of action, steam story arc and cheesy lines dialogue blending towards plot device. The storyline remains consistent and cohesive. Once again amazing writing style, unputdownable and a very satisfying ending for Jasmine and Kingston romance.

Delightful conclusion to a great series

The final book in the Windsor Academy series is just as delightful as the first two. In this book Jaz, Kingston and the supporting characters have come into their roles; relationships and friendships are firmly established; and enemies had better watch out. While there are still glimpses of Jaz's former life, cute interactions with her sister Belle and bold talks with Shawn, the story is cast around exposing the two fathers' ventures while solidifying the Jaz and Kingston's relationship.

I marvel at this author's talent for characterization -- age, gender, mannerisms linked with background; every character was distinct, unique, and engaging. In addition, ethnic diversity is naturally and realistically well-represented. Jaz is ever confident yet vulnerable; Kingston, alpha but sweet bad boy; Bentley, Reed, Ainsley, Shawn, Tiny, Belle, and others, integral and meaningful shapers to the fluid dynamics of the story. I loved the camaraderie between Bentley, Ainsley, and Reed. Also, with the solidifying of relationships, the malevolence from Peyton and former school bullies is put in check. Don’t mess with the Kings and theirs.

It is quite apparent the author has a sense of humor, sometimes just under the surface, “tongue-in-cheek,” and sometimes just laugh out loud. Lil Wayne, the ferret not the rapper. LoL. I was often in stitches at Bentley, his and Kingston's bro-exchanges as well as other hilarity in various scenes in the book.

“Ladies, you’re looking mighty sexy [expletive] tonight.”
“Yeah? Well, I suppose you look a’ight, too.”
Bentley scoffs. “Please, woman. I look fly as heck [expletive], and you know it.”

Ever confident, dominant, and cuddly, Bentley remains probably my favorite character, and I look forward to his tale.

Characters clearly established, this story is largely romantic suspense with a touch of steam. The mystery element was delivered gradually, in favor of a slow to medium burn progression to uncover elements in the puzzle. And what an unfolding it was.

Overall, an excellent series with enriching characters and great storyline.

Fallen Heirs
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Trigger warnings:
Kidnapping
Drugging
Murder
Sexual assault

First off, why am I doing this to myself? Second, the growl count is 10. I felt like that was necessary information to include as the only thing Kingston does is growl at everything and anything.

“Reed and Bent are wearing matching shit-eating grins.
“What’s that look for?”
Reed’s lips twitch. “Never thought I’d see the day, man.”
I frown. “The day for what?”
“That you became a pussy-whipped motherfucker.”

Ain't that the truth.

Sometimes it felt like a chore to read and finish it, other times I couldn't put it down for the life of me. Everyone wants to kidnap her, it's like a competition. The writing style needs some time to getting used to, but after the first book it was easier to get into. The slut-shaming is constant though, and it's exhausting.

Let's talk releationships. I love Jazz and Kingston, obviously. But I also love Reed and Ainsly. My fave have to be the friendship between Kingston and Belle, they're honestly adorable. Bently, you're cute.

Aside from the fact that they make stupid decisions all the time, and somewhat okay decisions sometimes, I LOVE THE DRAMA! I feel like that would make me a bad person, but whatever-

“Why?” Jazz gets this adorable little frown on her face. “What’s wrong with Chinese food?”
Jesus Christ, did I really just think my girlfriend’s frown was adorable? I check to see if my balls are still there. Jazz gives me a weird look but doesn’t ask why I’m grabbing my junk through my jeans.”

Take notes people, it's true love right here. But for real, at the end of the book I felt like their relationship was actually genuine and not based on a bunch of sh*t. So that's something at least.

“If I believed in fairytales, I’d say we were fated for one another.”

From the moment I sank into Fallen Heirs, I was instantly smitten with this spellbinding story. I loved being thrust into the Gossip Girl-like world of Windsor Academy, a series that has wholeheartedly owned me. Oh what a tantalizingly tangled web Laura Lee weaves, one of twists and turns, darkness and deception, and heartfelt loyalty and love. I was so obsessed with this story and series!!!

Such a compelling character-driven drama! Fallen Heirs is the final installment of Windsor Academy, a dark romantic tale of a stunning and strong teen girl thrust in a vicious rich world, who—along with her king by her side—must survive in a world of secrets, sabotage, and lies. I was fascinated by the glamorous lives of Jazz and Kingstons’ families, the socialite society. Jazz and Kingston with strong, unyielding personalities and all the passion together, were show-stopping.

Jazz is her own kind of rebel, my teen spirit animal with sass and laugh-out-loud wit who can roast with the best of them, and I loved her. Kingston, is alphalicious ... a dark king protecting his queen. The hero and heroine are from completely opposite worlds, but are so similar in many ways. So right with an undeniable connection and undying love. A hero and heroine meant to be ... kindred spirits fated together in the most messy but meaningful of ways.

My heart beat for and belonged to this book where I became part of the hero and heroines’ journey too. I slipped into these characters’ souls, became their voices, and felt every feel they had to give. The magical, movie-worthy plot paired with fated love, steamy seduction, stirring suspense, and all the addictive drama make Fallen Heirs a romance lover’s dream. Dark, dangerous, decadent, and all the delicious feels.

“The other major downfall is there’s no way I’ll be able to gorge on mashed potatoes in this thing, and I really fucking love mashed potatoes” - Jazz

I was going to put a kick ass or slightly soppy quote in my review, but I just loved mashed potatoes and so therefore no other snippet would do. I’m not even sorry.

This book, ugh! I don’t even know where to begin. It’s not even just this book, it’s the whole series. I can’t believe it took me so long to stumble upon Laura Lee, but I’m glad I finally did.

Fallen Heirs is an epic conclusion to what has been a brilliant series. Jazz is such a fierce FMC and the absolute love and adoration between her and Kingston is just everything (and the makeup/angry sex is HOT). She is put through so much but always comes back fighting, if anyone deserved a happily ever after it is definitely her 🖤

Laura makes you FEEL the words written, you go through all the emotions with the characters and if that isn’t good story telling then I just don’t know what is. If you haven’t yet started the series, then do so. It is so good and I cannot wait for more from the heirs of Windsor Academy

Damn, what a wild ride.

Fallen Heirs is the perfect culmination to this whirlwind of a trilogy, ending with a bang.
Everything in book 3 is bigger, better, more - it's even more fast faced, action packed and griping than the first two books (yes, that's actually possible!), and will have you white-knuckling the edge of your seat on this insane roller-coaster ride.

This was one of those books I just couldn't put down for a second. The epitome of page turner, Jazz and Kingston's (mis)adventures, troubles and tribulations alongside their passion and love had me enthralled and completely engrossed in their story.

I loved every moment of this trilogy that kept me guessing the whole way through about what craziness is yet to come. If you haven't read it yet, it's time for a book binge! Also, I'm not really ready to let this characters go and now I'm eagerly awaiting Bentley's book.

Great series and a great conclusion. The books are about Jazz and Kingston. The two previous books must be read before this one.
I like that Jazz is a strong young woman. The love between Kingston and Jazz grows stronger. Answers are finally revealed. There are twist and turns and suspense that keeps a reader not wanting to put the book down.
I highly recommend this trilogy. It’s dark, there’s bullying, it’s sexy and steamy.

Eighteen Year Old Going on Thirty-Five Solve A Crime Ring with Lots of Sex In-between

This is the third book in this series by Laura Lee
The first book I loved
The second one I was slightly disappointed in.

Now, on to the third.
I am up to chapter five, and I am so disinterested already. What hope do I have to make it to the end.

I think it’s bit of a misnomer to call this book a “Bully High School Romance” because there is zero bullying coming from Kingston, Bentley or Reed anymore.

Peyton, (Jazz’s stepsister) and the male (and female) parent/s are now the main protagonists.

Jasmine(Jazz) and Kingston are all loved up and gushing over each other in this third instalment. (A lot)
Ainsley and Reed are loved up and gushing over each other also.

At one point, Jazz says to Anisley and Reed,

“Aw, you two are so cute, it makes me want to puke in my mouth.”
THAT’s funny because, that just about sums up how I felt about J & K’s relationship in this book.

EVERYONE in this book is in love with Jazz, because she’s so beautiful, and strong, fun, and ballsy, and tough....and...and...Yada,Yada, yada.
We get it Jazz is AMAZING! And Kingston is SOOOO in LOVE.

So, having established THAT can we ALL just move along.

No. Not until the last couple of chapters.

What has happening to these characters? Everyone has settled down.
There’s no angst, no fighting or disagreements.
Except! For their evil parents apparently.
So by chapter five I’ve had enough of the gushy sex talk and all the happiness, and just want the plot to move along.

I mean, how much of the storyline can you devote to whether or not, Ainsley will let Reed do anal ??? Complete with Jazz’s smutty one liners.

I also found Kingston’s overbearing, possessive behaviour so annoying, and not the least bit sexy in this book.
The way he controlled Jazz’s decision making, demanding, and smothering her, was weird.
He would tell Jazz how something is going to be, and that’s it, the ends of the story...Ugh!

Also, I get it, their in LOVE. But, how often does he have to grab Jazz and “pull her into a kiss”. at any moment.
OMG! These two are at it like rabbits. ALL THE TIME
Once again the author places sex scene, after sex scene in to the storyline at the expense of the plot and, hate to say it, it gets a little predictable and boring.
If Jazz and Kingston are not talking about sex constantly, they’re DOING IT....Or talking about other couples doing it (Ainsley, Reed)

(I suppose this is meant to make it a ‘steamy’ novel)

And don’t get me started on the little talk Reed had with Jazz about how wonderful she is, and her positive influence over Ainsley and Kingston....
Yes, it’s Jazz! Saviour of the Universe....Barf!

Oh, and Kingston....Ugh! Kingston, is a pain!
He manipulates Jazz to move in with him because, thats what HE wants. And she does! .

He buys a House for them telling her they’re going to move in and live there...WITHOUT TELLING HER FIRST...Such a pushy B
And she’s all, “Yes Kingston”...”What ever you say as long as I get some D”.

And then there’s Bentley....On my G! What a ligger THAT guy was.
. “What’s up Dawg”....Oh! go away you third wheel.

So I was Slapping myself on the back for sticking with this book and finishing it....Almost.
I skipped chapter 27 & ‘the tying up the lose ends’ Epilogue.

And the ending...It was just too laughably and over the top.
And, this sexed up couple STILL had time: in a room with two dead bodies no less, to have their little HEA moment.
Yep, it was a case of Kingston and the FBI!....To the rescue...Haha!

Hey! ...YO DAWG! The next book is going to be about Bentley...Awww he’s finally going to get his own girlfriend (or boyfriend) to play with.....Hard Pass. This book was a strain to finish.

Fallen Heirs is the final book for the story of Kingston and Jasmine (Jazz). This book is told from dual points of view so we can see and feel what both characters are thinking/feeling. This book is full of action from the very first page and I was hooked. So many things happened in this book.

Jazz and Kingston are trying to uncover the truth about what their father's are hiding, and who was behind her attack. Kingston and Jazz depend on each other through the whole book and work together. I love how their relationship grows throughout the book. Kingston will do anything to keep Jazz safe.

Can they uncover the secrets in time before it's to late? Can Kingston keep Jazz safe from the trouble that lurks in the shadows? I really loved this series and can't wait to read Bentley's story!

I absolutely love this couple and I'm kinda sad that this is there last book but DAMN what a way to end it.

These two have had there fair share of issues and ive loved seeing them and feeling everything that they felt, the love, lust heartbreak and pure rage, this book completely consumed me.

From the outset I was gripped, most of the time I was on the edge of my seat with my heart in my mouth but it was so worth it.

Every new book by Laura has me in awe, she gets better and better the more I read.

I cant wait for Bentleys book, I love that man💜

This series is one of my top series for 2020 and Fallen Heirs is the perfect conclusion for Jazz and Kingston’s love story.

The twists and turns continue and boy does Ms Lee take us on one hell of a ride along the way.

This book has everything I love in it. A strong bad*ss heroine, an alpha man whose dirty but is willing to fall to his knees for his queen, and the sarcastic quick wit and one liners that makes the 13yo boy who live in my brain snicker!!!

This series is a MUST READ!

Oh My, I'm tangled deep in this web you've created Ms. Lee and I'm not ready for this ride to end!
Fallen Heirs is the mesmerizing conclusion to the Windsor Academy series. And let me tell you this EPIC conclusion was definitely worth the wait! Lee pushed the boundaries and delivered a action packed, steamy page turner with twists and turns that left you gasping for more! I LOVED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF IT! The depth that was written into Jazz and Kings story left me breathless. I have a deep love for these characters and was happy to see them FINALLY get their HEA. Despite the obstacles and never ending challenges..these two strong and remarkable characters beat the odds together! Their growth as a couple definitely shined throughout the story! This book was the perfect ending for their journey although it feels a little bittersweet because I'm not ready to say goodbye.
At the ending you'll be treated to a small glimpse of Bentley's story that I personally can't wait for!
This book and series I can't recommend HIGHLY ENOUGH! It's highly addictive, scorching, and completely mind blowing!
Thank you Laura Lee for this incredible ride! I definitely won't be forgetting it! 😍😍

This was definitely a tangled web-and keeping all of the characters straight became a bit of a task. There was a lot going on, so much that I really couldn’t put it down-I had to read it in one sitting. This author has a way of incorporating so much suspense in this trope, that it’s easy to see why you would love it.
I was happy to see there actually was a conclusion to Jazz and Kingston’s story-their chemistry has been palpable from the very beginning, and what a wild ride it’s been. I felt as if this was the best book of the trilogy, the author really fell into making Kingston an unforgettable character.

The conclusion to Kingston and Jazz’s story is finally here and it was well worth the wait. Our favorite couple remain steadfast in their determination to uncover the truth when it comes to their families, but their investigation will not only test their relationship but themselves as well.

This story takes us on quite a ride filled with intrigue, surprises you don’t see coming, emotion that draws you in and characters that captivate you. With so many questions the one thing that doesn’t change is the deep and enduring love that Kingston and Jazz share as well as the loyalty of those who have always been there for them.

We finally get some answers! This is the last book to the ongoing story or Jazz and Kingston.

This story wraps up the questions you are left with in both book 1 & 2, and left me feeling satisfied.

I will continue to sing Laura Lee’s praises on her writing style in this series, she went dark, and gritty and raw, but she still gave the characters depth and vulnerability. She made them just broken enough that you cared for them, and wanted the best for them.

This book also went beyond steamy, so you need to be ready for it. It is not for the weak hearted. That being said this book will hit you in the feels too.

I loved this series, it was a face paced ongoing story that sucked me in and didn’t want to let me go! Give it a chance to do the same for you

Could not put it down!

I could not put this book or the series for that matter down.
Right from the beginning of each book I was hooked and I'm still thirsty for more.
Most hated character: Preston
Most loved character: Kingston
Funniest character: Bentley (love that he gets a book)
Dark Horse: Read ( hope him and Ainsley get a book )
The kings are my book boyfriends #claimed

A million freaking stars and all the hearts eyes....
So, so good. A great mix of angst, humour and heart.
The strength of Jazz’s character once agin shines through in this intense final installation.
I can’t really say too much without giving away the storyline but I will say that THIS SERIES is one of my favourites for the year.
Little disappointed we didn’t have more - because I could read about King and Bent ALL DAY - but I still loved it.
