This book will show you how to deal
All dog owners will at some point encounter these everyday issues. This book will help anyone facing these issues and prepare them for the many eventualities dog owners face, either in the dog park, at home or elsewhere.
As to my qualifications for writing this book, well, let's just say, thanks to Buster, my dog, I have made well over a 1,000 trips to the dog park, just to entertain him and eliminate some of his high-energy.
One day, after one incident too many, I decided I had to write down my experiences. Everything I have recorded, every incident is based on fact and did happen. My interpretation of the events is based on observation and common sense.
Because of the bond I developed, over time, with my dog, I was able to incorporate two perspectives to these events, namely mine and Buster's. Buster's running commentary, punctuated with pithy asides creates a humorous overtone which keeps the narrative flowing.
Frankly, I had no choice but to go to the dog park as it was the only place in Los Angeles where I could unleash him and let him run and play with other dogs. And to top it all, once I saw how much fun Buster had at the dog park, how could I not take him? It is also a great place to meet people and interact.
If you are a dog owner or know a dog owner, this book is a must buy.

As the owner of a mixed-breed rescue dog, I really appreciated Marcia's advice and anecdotes of her experiences with Buster in various dog parks. It reminded me how much effort is required to socialize your dog and manage them in a mixed dog environment. We have greatly benefited from boarding our dog, Piper, at a training kennel that offers an "all dogs" romp in the mornings and afternoons. This has helped her feel comfortable around dogs of all sizes and to socialize with them without animosity. If you plan to take your dog to a dog park, Marcia's book is a "must read!"
