From USA Today Bestselling Author Cassandra Robbins comes an explosive, second- chance, age- gap, standalone love story about the dangerous Disciples enforcer and his fierce, secret obsession.
I’ve made two impulsive decisions in my life, and both have involved the notorious enforcer of the Disciples MC.
The first, I humiliated myself by spying on him.
The second, I decided to throw caution to the wind and show up at probably the worst possible time.
He’s dangerous, demanding, and able to consume me with just one look.
He’s also on trial for murder, and no one in his club trusts me.
You’d think I’d run. I mean, the cards are stacked against us.
But I can’t escape my need, this all-consuming pull I have with him.
He may be wrong for me, but he’s the very force that brings me to life.
Cassandra Robbins is a USA Today, Amazon Top 20, KDP All-star and International bestselling author. She threatened to write a romance novel for years. Robbins finally let the voices take over with her debut novel, The Entitled. She's a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic driven to create obsessive, angst-filled characters who have to fight for their happily ever after. Cassandra resides in Los Angeles with her hot husband, two beautiful children, and a fluffy Samoyed, Stanley. Her family and friends are her lifeline but writing is her passion.
I have wanted Ryder’s story from the very first book. He’s intrigued me and I knew he was going to be different to the other Disciples. Boy was I right.
I loved how we got into the history of his “gift” and how we got to see the real enforcer and all his dark and dirty secrets. The past has a way of coming back to bite you.
This one has loads of action, new characters, epic dirty talk and the kind of gritty love story this author does best. I was a very happy reader when I finished this one.
4.5☆ Sometimes you just want a big, hot, dominant biker with a tortured soul to pin you to the wall.
This time around, I skipped from Blade & Eve to Ryder & Julianna, since those are the 2 I really liked in this series. I think it’s totally fine to read them that way. I always had a soft spot for Ryder, the club's Enforcer. It's interesting to have his POV, given his unique mind 'cursed' with clairvoyant dreams, though I wish we'd seen more of those dreams play out in this book.
➳❦ Big blue eyes stare up at me, and for a split second, I know this girl. I don’t know how, but I do. My hands reach to steady her, and I feel her body almost lean into mine as if this is where she belongs. Her scent fills my nose and I hesitate. I know her.
Their casual dom play and praise kink are pretty hot. At times you get worried for his character arc, with his battered soul and horrible demons; his family SUCKED. His tormented heart makes you want to hug him, and his big, hot, snarling, bossy thing makes you want to climb him like a tree (and/or dump a bottle of Jack on his stubborn head). 🖤🤘
➳❦ “I abhor violence,” she whispers. I cock my head at her. “Well, baby, I’m nothing but violence.”
Julianna is a likable, repressed, slightly lost heroine from the polished and privileged side of the tracks. Her family also sucks, and she be THIRSTY for her fated biker bad boy. They first meet (in a very memorable way lol) when she’s in college with Axel's sister at Berkeley, and spend a week together. I enjoyed Julianna's authentic, curious, hungry, passionate spirit, and that eventually she gets better at knowing and standing up for her herself. She actually really kicks ass toward the end.
➳❦ It’s my eyes. I lean forward and really look at myself. “Unrecognizable.” I smile. My cheeks are flushed, my neck has a bite mark, and my eyes…my eyes are fearless. For the first time in my life, everything is simple, and all I need is for this man to stay alive.
Ngl, Ryder sometimes acts like an asshole (this is an mc romance, after all), but his development as he finally opens up to Julianna is pretty satisfying.
➳❦ All I can think of is a sweet little boy with dark hair and rosy cheeks, scared because he had a dream, and his mother beating him and calling him a devil. Diavolo. My stomach turns. What is wrong with people? She told him he was a monster, so he became one. Or is he? Not that it matters. I know what he is to me.
There’s some messy ex OW drama, and we’re fast-forwarded past a decade-long separation, during which Ryder and Julianna were in different worlds and with other people. This didn’t really bother me because we don’t have to wait to get through the time jump, and they’re both still lowkey obsessed with each other--Ryder's even been keeping secret tabs on her from across the country. Once Julianna decides she’s had enough of her family’s stifling society BS in New York and allows herself to return to Ryder’s world, it's onnn. 😎🫦🔥
➳❦ “Wrap your legs around me.” He lifts me up. My back hits the wall. “Give me those fucking lips,” his voice rumbles.
There’s a lot of legal drama and battling the Bratva going on at the same time for the club, with the mystery of Ryder being specifically targeted. The villains get their due, and our antiheroes and their ladyloves come out on top. If you’re feeling an angsty, sexy, suspenseful ride across the tracks and back again, plus plenty of biker soap opera, you’ll get it here. 😏
What a fantastic ride! The chemistry and attraction between Ryder and Julianna just crackled. I have been waiting for this story since the "incident" in the Rise between the two of them - I knew it was going to be a super angsty throw down and Cassandra didn't let me down! This book had me hooked from page one. I absolutely loved their journey, despite the 10 years separation, because they were never entirely separate, whether Julianna knew it or not. I loved the almost mystical, fated aspect of their feelings and how overwhelming it was for them - Ryder in particular. She was truly the light and fluffy to his dark and dangerous and he felt it from their first meeting. I really liked how Cindy wasn't made into a bad guy and it looks like she'll get her own happy ending.
Force is the 5th book in the Disciples MC series by Cassandra Robbins and can be read as a standalone. Any relevant information is given in the book. The book is best enjoyed when read is series order and if you're a fan of Serena Akeroyd's Satan Sinners series, you'll notice some characters mentioned as a set up for a future cross over book.
RYDER IS MY MOST FAVORITE BIKER EVER!!!! And he is absolutely my favorite Disciple! Julianna is just freaking perfect for him! They really are soulmates! I felt it in my bones! Hearing Ryder talk about his clairvoyant dreams was super interesting. You know right off the bat that this is going to be a super hot book! Julianna stumbles upon some people getting frisky in some bushes..... and SHE STAYED TO WATCH!!!!! These 2 are just super hot AF 🔥💦🔥💦. And for really real..... who the heck knew that Cindy was going to be so freaking psycho? It was kind of annoying me that the only one that seemed to be on Julianna's side (vs Cindy) was my girl Dolly! She knew what was up. But then again, soulmates can spot other soulmates. Ryder has that super possessive alpha male going on.
What I found extra interesting and special about this story is that the enforcer is the one that usually is the muscle behind things and does a lot of the dirty work, but other than David, Ryder seems to be the most sensitive of all the men! While still being a total alpha! Julianna is one lucky lady! But she absolutely earned her place there! Loved this story to no end. I was sad that it was over. I already know that this is a couple that I will be thinking about for a really long time! SERIOUS. BOOK. HANGOVER!!!
FORCE is the fifth instalment in Cassandra Robbins’ contemporary, adult THE DISCIPLES erotic, dark, MC romance series. This is The Disciples MC enforcer Leonardo ‘Ryder’ DeLucca, and twenty-eight year old Julianna Dutch’s story line. FORCE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading IGNITE (book 4) and RISE, the first instalment in the author’s ROCK GOD series-a cross over with THE DISCIPLES MC where we are first introduced to Julianna’s best friend Gia Fontaine and rock star Rhys Granger. Some of the events of FORCE cross over with some of the events of the previous story lines.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Ryder and Julianna) following two time-lines (present day and ten years in the past) FORCE follows the age-gap, second chance relationship between Disciples MC enforcer Leonardo ‘Ryder’ DeLucca, and twenty-eight year old Julianna Dutch. Ten years earlier, a then eighteen year old, Julianna was tasked by Axel Fontaine (Ignite 4) to pick up his sister Gia at the Disciples compound, who was suffering with a broken heart, having been rejected by the man that she loved. Julianna would come face to face with her future in the guise of Leonardo ‘Ryder’ DeLucca, the enforcer for the Disciples MC, a man who stirred something deep within our story line heroine but neither Gia nor Julianna was welcome with the Disciples MC, and a few sexual encounters with Ryder meant nothing more than a one-night stand to our story line hero. Fast forward to present day wherein Julianna, finds herself on the run, working her way back to the Disciples MC, where she is still not welcome by the people in charge. A war between the Disciples MC and the Russians is on the horizon, and our couple are about to be caught in the middle, forcing Julianna to take control when no one else was able. What ensues is the building but contemptuous relationship between Ryder and Julianna, and the potential fall-out as Ryder must account for sins of the past.
Julianna Dutch has never stopped loving Ryder DeLucca but Ryder has apparently moved on with someone else. Heading back to Los Angeles to the man that she loved, Julianna knew the only place she felt safe and happy was with the Disciples MC. Ryder DeLucca doesn’t do relationships, doesn’t do love, doesn’t do happily ever afters and knows that to fall in love with Julianna Dutch means to give up control of his heart but threats from the Russian mob force Julianna into action, in an effort to save the people Ryder DeLucca loved.
The relationship between Ryder and Julianna is intense, erotic and highly sexual. Ryder makes no excuses for his behavior or his lust, pushing Julianna outside the limits of her sexual experience. Ryder demands everything and more, and Julianna is willing to give in and give up for the man that she loves.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we have met in previous story lines: Gia Fontaine and Rhys Granger (Rise), Axel and Antoinette (Ignite), Blade and Eve (Lethal), Poet and Charlie (Atone), Edge and Dolly (Repent), as well as Dewey, club hacker Frosty, Ryder’s troubled ex Cindy, Disciples attorney Rodney, Ryder’s attorney Jett Powers, and several members of the Russian mob. The requisite evil has many faces.
FORCE is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and revelation, family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and intense; the romance is edgy, erotic and impassioned; the characters are determined and charismatic. FORCE ends on an epilogue cliff hanger –you have been warned.
Male character truly loves female and their story is over 10 years (her 18-28). But in between their first time at 18 for her and when they finally are able to come together when she’s 28 he of course is with a tons of other women she’s married to a rich guy that turns out to be gay that her father had her marry and the main male character has a steady hook up named Cindy. I had read the other books in the series quite a bit ago but this book I truly don’t understand why everyone seems to be so loyal to Cindy the main male character steady hook up over the years. He was quite clear that he wanted nothing long-term with her he never claimed her he never made her out to be special to him she was just someone that he hooked up with the most. But because she was friends with all the other old ladies in the club therefore the old ladies have to hate the female character? The female character is wonderful sweet and not bitchy at all. She stands firm in her love for the main male character and tries to make nice with all the ladies. The main club lady the president’s wife Eve was actually really mean and horrible this entire book all the old ladies treated the main female character Juliana as if she was a whore even though out of ALL m the women in this series sets us the classiest sweetest one??? And they even came right out and said as much. I truly ended up hating all the other old ladies even though I had read their books before. I’ve never seen such a horrible vibe. In the end of course Juliana saves the presidents wife by killing a guy and everyone all of a sudden loves her? She was a really sweet woman to begin with! And while the main male character certainly took his time claiming her and really didn’t have her back when the other old ladies were being annoying he was very clear that his feelings were going to take time and it was mainly because he wasn’t quite for sure if he was going to prison and going to be around for her. I’m OK how it ended up as far as they have true love with each other and all. But to find out that Cindy the other woman in this book is going to get her own book and we should be happy about that? She was described as an addict with mental issues and was horrific toJuliana even though she knew the deal with her hooking up status. my reading this author ends here. There was a lot of other cheating in some of her other books and quite honestly this just really sealed the deal no more reading from this author.
I expected to like this one. But, unfortunately, I couldn't buy into Ryder and Julianna. The first scene with panic stricken Julianna going to pick up Gia and ending up a self pleasuring voyeur in the woods was simply eye rolling. But I really couldn't get on board for Ryder when he figured out that the worst punishment for Julianna was ignoring her and proceeded to do that when she broke rules that she wasn't really even on board about yet. When he ignored Julia and she, predictably, behaved like a psychologically manipulated domestic abuse victim, I had no more grace for Ryder. Then, it turns out, he demanded fidelity from her but had a long affair with Cindy in between their brief encounters and then was, himself, ridiculously manipulated by Cindy in front of Julia. How she didn't run right then is a mystery to me. Then when he threw Julia to the wolves (AKA: Mean Girls Ol' Lady club) and didn't have her back I was beyond over this toxic pseudo D/s relationship and ready for her to leave and find someone worthy of her. There was no part of this book that I felt like Ryder wasn't manipulating her and that her feelings weren't learned behavior.
I think that when the "brotherhood" men of the Club didn't have his back with Julia because it made things difficult with their own women was disgusting and undermined the whole idea of the club. That Ryder put up with that disloyalty made him seem weak and out of control of his situation. All of the men of previous books that I loved let me down in this one by letting their worry and bitchy women control them. Don't even get me started on whiplash inducing, 180degree change after Julianna saves the day.
One final thing. I was really hoping to get away from the "accidental" pregnancy in this book but this author always goes there and I think it's boring and way too predictable at this point.
This book did not live up to the prior books and that's sad for a final book in a series. I don't know how I feel about the next book cross over between the Five Points and the Disciples/Cindy. But I'm hoping Serena Akeroyd can bring this in at a high level and reign this author and her predictable plots in to give us something worthy of the 5 Points/Sinners universe.
MC romance magic from Cassandra Robbins again. Force will capture your heart and soul with steamy, adrenaline filled and emotional plot. Ryder is an incredible alpha hero with his raw, gritty, dominating and edgy personality. And Julianna is a complete bada$$ behind her sweet beauty. They are on an explosive, addictive and heartaching journey. Disciples MC is all about loyalty and brotherhood and you won't regret entering their violent and beautiful world. One of my all time favourite MC series and I never want it to end.
Years ago , Julianna has lost her innocence to a big scary biker who just enthralled her and she ran away immediately. But Ryder, the enforcer of The Disciples MC has become obsessed with her and always kept her under his protection even from distance. Years have passed and Julianna is finally escaped from the clutch of her manipulative father. And she has run straight too Ryder. But he is not a nice man and he is at a particularly dark point of his life when he may have to sacrifice himself to save his MC brothers from destruction and death.
The author has an excellent writing style that always brings out the best and worst of MC romance. You will have a no holds barred first row seat of how dangerous and violent this life can be as Ryder and his brothers have a lot of loose ends to tie. The actiona and suspense was just amazing. And then came the steamy goodness. Oh my god Ryder is one dirty biker for sure. Julianna may be from a rich and sophisticated background but she has a wild filthy side that fit perfectly with Ryder's dark side. She is almost a stranger in this life but she has that sass and fire that will help her fit so well. Ryder will make you shake and tremble with his edgye possessive dominating personality and Julianna is the sweet yet fierce queen who will become his whole world. A must read MC romance.
If you are looking for an age gap MC second chance romance with a possessive male, then… this book might be for you.
I was very conflicted in writing this review. Although I love Cassandra Robbin’s books, I really had a hard time with this book. To start off with the 10-year gap between their initial encounter till the events of the books, just felt too long for a man as “possessive” as Ryder was portrayed to be. Let’s add to that the fact that he is a very promiscuous during those ten years and that she was married, and it results in an iffy feeling in the reader.
The book is exceptionally well written and in the end the story is solid enough to get a 4-stars form me.
I bow down to Cassandra Robbins. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better she gives us Ryder’s story. The Disciples are my go-to when I need an MC fix and this one added to the mix is just out of this world explosive. Ryder is everything and nothing I expected. He was so much more than just the alpha, dominating, sexy enforcer. He was a lot more complex and I loved every moment. Julianna is a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what to make of her character but girl is badarse. This is all-steam, all-consuming, all out explosive. This is one not to be missed!
Audiobook: Yum!! Troy Duran was Ryder is every way. His tenor is exactly what I imagined when I first read the book. To hear it was like music to my ears. Stefanie Kay did fab narrating for Julianna. I love how this duo performed and enhanced this book and brought it to a whole new level of awesome. What a heart stopping, all-consuming audiobook!! Chef’s kiss worthy and an easy 5star listen.
Force by Cassandra Robbins is book 5 in the Disciples MC series is an incredible read! Cassandra Robbins’ books ensnare the reader from page one to the last page. I kept turning the final page, hoping for more. Not that the story didn’t give the HEA, because the HEA was awesome, but because I wanted “more story”! There is intrigue, romance, lust, and love. Both Julianna and Ryder ex’s who won’t stop interfering with mean girl attitudes thrown around to cause plenty of drama and tears. Seeing Ryder, the evil MC enforcer who doesn’t think he can love anyone fall for socialite good girl Julianna is a joy to unfold from lust to love. Force can be read alone with enough information to enjoy but reading the previous books in the series enables one to experience the book’s full impact. I can’t wait to read any new book Cassandra Robbins writes!
Fasten your seatbelts everyone because Force is about to take you for a ride. Not only will your reading journey take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, but it will leave you will the biggest book hangover….in a good way. Suspense, angst, action and love. Cassandra delivers it all. But honestly, I didn’t expect anything less from the talented Mrs. Robbins. And let’s not forget Ryder and the way he makes us swoon with his dirty talk. I’m a sucker for any MC Enforcer but add in a wicked filthy mouth and ’m a goner. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down. The chemistry between Ryder and Julianna is off the charts. I’d give this book ten stars if I could. Highly recommend.
I've been excited for Ryder's book as along as I can remember and it did not disappoint! Ryder is the enforcer of the Disciples. He's dark and closed off to most of the world when it comes to anything emotional until one day Julianna enters his clubhouse. She is trying to support best friend Gia who is mourning her love. Julianna and Ryder have an instant magical connection that spans years. Despite these years neither can let the other go and when Julianna seeks freedom she runs to him. Ryder is fighting jail time after being accused of murder and must juggle the club, his freedom and Julianna all at the same time. Julianna is every bit of light as Ryder is dark. They are opposite sides of the same coin in the best of ways. I loved the angst and tension these two carried. I'm not a big fan of instalust but the tension here really balanced out that instant connection to deliver an interesting story. The steamy is like always top notch but doesn't overpower the plot or character growth. It's beautifully balanced and was such an enjoyable read! Definitely one I'll reread again.
Ryder, the MC’s Enforcer, has demons from his past haunting him. Julianna is Axel’s sister’s friend. The first time she saw Ryder will forever be etched in her mind. She came to the clubhouse to pickup Gia but nothing ever goes as planned at the Disciples Clubhouse. Ryder has never felt anything like her did when he laid eyes on this enigma of a girl. When trouble follows, the tables turn on who wants to protect who. This one might be a force even Ryder can’t run from. This takes place in the past and present tense to give you the full impact of the story. I’m so glad to finally have Ryder’s journey told and get to see some of our favorites bikers again too. Action, adventure and a connection that defies all reason unfold in this epic MC romance. Be prepared to swoon for the enforcer! Told in dual POV
Yet again this talented author has given us a superb book. It was extremely well written hence the rating, but for me personally I would of loved the balance of heat and suspense to be more on the thrill side as that's what I couldn't get enough of. For me personally when I first started this book I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did because of this fact (the abundance of steam), and because of the female main character's seemingly naivety. But both definitely grew on me, especially once the action ramped up. Throw in the curveballs that you won't see coming and you'll be unable to look away.
Force is the Disciples book that we've all been waiting for... And I am OBSESSED with it!
From the first page, I was submerged in the gritty world of the Disciples. And oh how I've missed them! THIS is MC Romance at it's finest. I literally could not put it down from the moment I started the first page. From the action to the angst, to the steam... Cassandra Robbins doesn't hold back, giving her readers everything they wanted, and so much more.
This may be Cassandra Robbins' hottest book yet! Ryder is everything you could want in a hero. Commanding, protective, adventurous, and he will melt your heart at times! Juliana showed so much growth from beginning to end. I loved her devotion and loyalty. I loved catching up with former characters and getting to know others better! This is definitely a ride you want to take!!
Maybe a 2.5*. While this definately had some great bits, overall it was often disjointed, confusing and forced. Some key pivotal moments revealed as the 'past' but without much context.
I was a little thrown as I had assumed Cindy was going to be h, considering her prominence and likeability factor going up in the last couple of books and her on and off relationship with Ryder. I can't recall any mention of the h in previous books. That might be just my recall, I don't know. The h was nice enough but meh. The H, played to what is expected of Alpha H's so no quibbles.
Poor Cindy really got a raw deal in this series she was set up as an air head bimbo, then somewhat redeemed to be thrown completely in the dopehead manipulative ow role. So while the H, h as MC's are trying to get togther, Cindy was bubbling away underneath and the whole thing seemed off and forced. This is definately insta and OTT theme with S&M thrown in, but it that just made me roll my eyes. I also found I skimmed the numerous sex scenes.
Edited:27/6/22 Just read 'Rise' so this wasn't completely out the blue. Their story sort of kicks off in that book.
Cassandra Robbins has fast become one of my favorite MC authors out there. The intensity, the chemistry, the emotional angst, the STEAM- she brings it all, with that gritty and edgy charisma that makes her stories so intoxicating and addictive. And Force is one of her best yet- another smashing adventure and heart-grabbing romance from the ever-compelling Disciples MC world.
The premise of this story is really complete and utter catnip to me. A young heroine falls for and gives herself to a scary and dominating enforcer, a man much older. And even though she hides away from their encounter, neither has let each other go, not truly. Our grisly alpha enforcer Ryder has kept her under watch from afar, and once Julianna finally finds free from the cage of her younger years, she finds herself once again in the orbit of her seductive biker, and thrown into a melee of MC drama and Ryder’s own dark troubles.
These characters, as always, are flawed and layered. Ryder so much more than his controlling, tough as nails enforcer persona. Julianna so much stronger than the privileged princess her upbringing would connote. They draw out the full depth of one another- a connection that is so deliciously intense you can’t stop turning the pages. And Cassandra does the dirty SO well- some yummy smut paired nicely with the MC darama, intrigue, and danger. Not to mention, loved all the interconnections to Cassandra’s other works and the amazing brotherhood of the MC badboys. The Disciples family is truly one of a kind, and I’m so glad I fell into their world.
Having looked forward to Ryder's story for so long,I am absolutely thrilled to now understand his background, and character. I loathe Cindy's character, and was so worried her whiney hiney was going to be the FMC ,so imagine my delight when we got the lovely, sometimes Neurotic,Julianna instead!
I didn't think I could love another of Cassandra's couples the way I do Edge and Dolly, but these two will always have a special place in my heart.
Ryder and Julianna both coming from backgrounds where love was withheld, and abuse was rampant, made me root for them and their happy ending even more. The female dynamics in this story made me smile, and even though I wish the original Old Ladies would have been more apologetic and remorseful in their treatment of Jules,I'm glad to see her gaining lifelong friendships, a sense of purpose, and their respect in the end.
I look forward to the next installment of The Disciples' story!
Oh it felt so good to be back in the Disciples world. These dirty bad boys, with a soft spot for only their women, have a way of making me melt. Ryder and Juliana are absolute fire in this book. I love that her feelings for him never falter. They have ups and downs, but she knows what she feels and she is there to stay. Ryder is obsessed with Juliana, but our broken biker doesn't want to tie her to his dangerous life. The spice level in this book is high. Super high. My kindle was smokin high. The sub plot was compelling and exciting. And that ending left me wanting more from this world. I highly recommend that you read the previous Disciples books, and Rise, before this one. It is a standalone but there is a lot of background information that you get from those other books.
Amazing read! I hadn’t had all the feelings that I felt reading this scorching story in a very long time. Cassandra Robbins pulled out all the stops with this one!
Ryder is now one of my favorites just next to Poet, (long history there.) I love Julianna. Her feelings for Ryder were strong and steadfast from the beginning. She saw his depth and soul without judgement. Their story is epic!
I loved the incorporation of all the other previous characters in this series. Brilliantly done!
2.5 stars✨ "This woman is mine. Julianna’s not going to bring me down. She is my force, the reason I was put on this earth."
as i always say: is a yes or a no, never a maybe for cassandra robbins' books... unfortunately force it's a dislike.
i hated the first book of the disciples series, but i decided to ignore all the order and read book 5 after reading and loving rise. this book here is about julianna, gia's best friend and since in book 1 from the rock god series we had the opportunity to see ju and ryder's scenes i thought "why not give them a chance?"
i hated 😭 ok hate it's a really strong word. i didn't enjoy it for the most part 😭😭😭
their chemistry? terrible, couldn't feel the love. it felt for me that julianna was making a horrible mistake since day one of them together... and maybe it was because i wasn't involved at all with the disciples' family and for that reason ryder was a bad guy with a worse atitude 😒
i wished more...
i won't stop reading this author, cause i like her writing. it's just... she tends to make her fmcs to crawl to be with the men... and most times the men aren't nice enough to make me want to crawl if you know what i mean.
RYDER DAMN BABY... I didn't understand what love is until now!
When he said, " I'm going to take you to the edge it's up to you if you see God!" - LAWD HAVE MERCY JESUS!
RYDER hits difference. Tears, in my eyes, hit different. RYDER IS DIRTY and I LOVE IT.
THE PRAISE! THE DOM ENERGY!
I'm done.
Eve got mad and annoyed in this book. The Meangirl energy I was like bitch I'll show you crazy. Listen, I'm going to fight for my man. I'm not afraid to get dirty.
We’re back with the Disciples, and this time it’s Ryder’s story. He's the MC’s Enforcer, the brooding alpha type, with a raw and edgy personality.
Ryder first meets Jullianna when she shows up at the Clubhouse to collect Gia, the sister of one the brothers, however Jullianna gets more than an eyeful when she first arrives on Disciples property, she catches Ryder in the midst of a rather intimate act with another female, he’s more than aware that he’s being watched and puts on quite a show, but the moment he locks eye with the blonde haired beauty, he’s captivated, yet despite the connection he feels towards her, he’s determined to push her away, demons from his past playing a huge factor in that matter.
But Juillianna proves to be the one force Ryder can’t run from, and when she returns to the clubhouse ten years on from that first initial meeting, there’s no holding back. There’s just the small matter of a murder charge looming over Ryder, his crazy ex-bed warmer, Juillianna’s dad and her husband who’s refusing to sign divorce papers, oh and there’s a rat in the club. Trouble lies ahead and tables are turned with regards to who’s protecting who, which makes for some riveting reading.
Told in dual POV, and in order to understand and get the full impact of Ryder and Juillianna’s journey, Force takes place in both the past and present tense. A connection defying all overs added with lots of action and adventure go towards making this one of the most extraordinary MC romances there are out there in 2022.
It's been a minute since I read the last book, so I don't really remember Cindy...or how Julianna and Ryder first met, so there's that. Having said that, I didn't love this book as much as its predecessors. The masturbation nonsense in the beginning almost made me throw in the towel in the first chapter. Mostly Ryder was a smidgeon more of a Neanderthal than I usually like in books, and the D/s seemed a bit 'off'. Julianna was ok. I just needed her to have a bit more of a backbone in the beginning eg. I would have been ecstatic if she'd left that first time when she made a mistake, and Ryder thought he could teach her trust by ignoring her as punishment. Girl, gather your dignity and go home! Come back and try again later. The fact that Julianna seemed like nothing more than something to fulfill Ryder's sexual desires for a good part of the beginning of this 'relationship' made me question what exactly she loved about him. The mean girls drama with the other 'old ladies' was meh, and felt too high school for me. What I DID like was Ryder calling Julianna 'my good girl'. The 'my' made a huge difference in the intimacy in a way I'd never contemplated. I also liked that Ryder had prophetic dreams. That made for an interesting angle. All in all an ok read once we got a bit more depth in terms of the relationship. I will read Cindy's book if I must. Ugh.
Also, kudos to the author for having Julianna smell like apples and not the nausea inducing vanilla of all the other female leads in this series. Thank you! LOL
Force is the fifth book in the Disciples Series by Cassandra Robbins and is an interconnected stand alone story. Ryder is the enforcer for the Disciples. Julianna is best friends with Axel’s, a fellow Disciple, sister. In college Julianna comes to the club house to pick up Gia who was going through a rough patch. Upon arriving Julianna finds Ryder with a woman in the woods and watches their interactions. From that moment on Julianna knew she was in love with Ryder. However, Ryder was convinced that he was not destined to have a happily ever after and left Julianna after a one night stand. Now 10 years later Julianna has returned to the Disciples clubhouse in the midst of her divorce to her husband to claim the man she really wanted. Will Ryder be able to move forward with Julianna or will his past come back to haunt him? I found myself both wanting to devour this book and not read it at the same time because I just didn’t want it to end. Ryder really was a dirty talking alpha male and I fell in love with him through the story! While I went into the book expecting to get a story between Ryder and Cindy I absolutely adored Julianna and am glad she and Ryder ended up together despite Cindy trying to manipulate Ryder away from Julianna. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Force is book #5 in The Disciples series by Cassandra Robbins.
Ryder and Julianna meet 10 years prior to the main events of the story when she is only 18 and let's just say that was one of the most interesting and awkward ways to meet! There is an immediate connection, or force, between the two of them, and that doesn't go away from their initial time together or during the 10 years they are apart.
This book was a full ride including action, some mystery, insanely hot smex scenes (including Ryder's dirty talk) and the proof that if two people are meant to be together, they will be together. Included are some fabulous side characters, some not so great ones as well, visits from friends we've met along the way in this series as well as The Rock God series. And if you are a Serena Akeroyd fan like me, you will absolutely love the interactions and references to characters from her books as well.
The epilogue was perfection, and the bonus epilogue was even more as we prepare for the upcoming collaboration between Cassandra and Serena in Filthy Disciple. I can't wait!
Force is book five of five of The Disciples series of interconnected standalones. Lethal (book one) was the first mc romance that I ever read and is what started my obsession with them. I am honored to be able to read the arc of Force!
Julianna has been in love with Ryder since the day she first saw him…and it’s a meeting that I’ll never forget! Ryder is the enforcer for The Disciples. He grew up being called the Devil and he knows he is no good for Julianna. She’s a good girl and has no business being with a man like him. I loved the raw emotions in this book! Julianna isn’t afraid to show Ryder her love and trust and just wants to see him happy. When danger from their pasts catch up with them, we’ll have to see who saves who!
This book has angst, heartbreak, drama, secrets, suspense, and spice…Ryder is a dirty talker! That man can melt your panties with words alone! This book captured me from the prologue and I couldn’t put it down! Highly recommend!
