Untouchable #12

Farewells and Forever

Rate this book
Beautiful, I love you. No ands, ifs, or buts. No beating around the bush. Will you marry me?

From the first proposal on the playground when we were five to the one two weeks ago, Coop has always been there for me.

Baby Girl, the only thing I’ve ever wanted is you. Forever.

Protector. Best friend. Lover. Jake’s a part of me in a way I can’t define. Even when we were apart, I knew we would find each other.

This is my love song for you, Angel.

Music is Ian’s love language. He doesn’t just wrap me up to keep me safe from the world, he pulled me into his. He shared his love and the knots that bind our hearts are beyond anything I could have imagined.

From the day I met you—you were the one, Babe. The only one.

Archie’s my hero in some ways, he pushes and he demands. At the same time, he savors and teases. He’s a builder and a fixer. I had no idea that the day he arrived was the day the last piece missing in my world would lock into place.

Marry us.

My name is Frankie Curtis, the four men I love more than anything else in this world want me to marry them. They want forever.

They want me.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

It's been a long time coming. From the first day on the playground, through the best and worst days of high school, the tour separations, and the June vacations they have fought to be together. There have been fights, losses, and tears. Friendships have been made, families have been discovered, and love has been found. There have been thousands of hugs and kisses, and so much laughter. A family has been formed and life together created. Hard-earned happiness has been won and forever is the prize.

Frankie, Archie, Coop, Jake, and Ian. Jeremy, Eddie, Rachel, and all of the other assorted extended family. It's hard to say goodbye, so I won't. They will continue on in my imagination. These characters are as real to me as my neighbors. Since the Saturday morning, I picked up book 1 and binged 2-4 over the same weekend, I have loved every minute of their journey. I have laughed, cried, fumed, and worried over these characters. It hasn't always been easy but it was been real. This final book was a love letter to Frankie and her guys. There's no huge drama, little angst. We've made it through the rough patches. Now we get to enjoy their efforts. I expected this book to be bittersweet but it wasn't. I read parts through happy tears but all with a big smile on my face. Their books may have ended but Frankie and her guys are Forever.

Bittersweet goodbye 🥹❤️💔❤️‍🩹

I’ve been waiting for this book since I read the first book in this series. Now that it’s finally here it’s so bittersweet. I have so many emotions and I don’t know how to even move on. This is the last book in this series and it’s been a journey. A heartbreaking, slap worthy, absolutely perfect and beautiful journey. I don’t want to say goodbye. I absolutely love these characters and everything about them (mostly, boys be dumb lol). Goodbye Frankie, Coop, Archie,Ian and Jake.
Your story has been one of the best I’ve ever read and I will miss you. Thanks for all the laughs, groans and tears I’ve shed.

Heather Long absolutely knocked this book out of the park. To me, we got to see so much more of them becoming the family they are going to be in the future. When I have a book that makes me laugh and cry, I know that I’m reading a masterpiece. This is one of them. I’m sorry to see the series end, but I absolutely love the ending they received. Farewells and Forever was a masterpiece.

A few years ago I was searching KU for a new RH read and came across Rules & Roses by Heather Long, a new to me author at the time. I remember being intrigued by the blurb and the pretty red and black cover and decided to dive in. I devoured that book in practically one sitting and remember not being able to stop thinking about the characters. Now, nearly 3 years and 11 books later, these characters feel like family and this series has become a favorite comfort read.

F&F was bittersweet of course. 12 books is a long series and it’s difficult to say goodbye. But Heather gave Frankie, Archie, Jake, Ian and Coop the send-off they deserve. This book is everything I could have hoped for the culmination of this series. There is laughter and love, forgiveness, final chapters and new beginnings and of course, a whole lot of sexy times from Frankie and her guys.

I will truly miss this crew, but look forward to seeing them again in Heather’s upcoming series. If you haven’t yet given this friends to lovers RH a try, I encourage you to do so. Just make sure you block out a few days because once you start you’ll want to binge the entire series. Spectacular finish Heather, and thank you for bringing us these amazing books!

Frankie and her guys have the perfect happily ever after in this book. It’s a beautiful slice of life story as they continue working towards their goals while planning the wedding.

A few outstanding issues get resolutions that make sense for the characters. There isn’t any big drama, or tons of angst, which added to the overall everyday-life vibe of the story. This was a lovely, mellow read, while still keeping the pages turning in excitement, just because I love these characters so much that I’m excited to read about whatever they’re doing at any time.

Still plenty of spice and 🥵🥵🥵 scenes! Some intimate and romantic moments brought tears to my eyes, and I was full on crying towards to end because I didn’t want to finish the series.

This series will forever be a favorite of mine because of how much I adore the characters and the glimpse into their lives together. Their friendships are the foundation for everything and that shines through to the very end. I’m sad to see them go, but excited to see what comes next!

I was so torn between wanting to keep reading and slowing down because I didn't want this series to end. This has been quite the journey with Frankie, Archie, Coop, Jake, and Ian. These characters have been through so much but it has only made their family stronger. I have cried, laughed, and yelled with them.

Farewells & Forever picks up after Frankie gets engaged to the four guys. This book focuses on them planning a life together and what their next steps are going to be. It was the perfect conclusion to their journey and they did get their happily ever after, just as Long had promised, but I am so sad that it's over. I have been so invested in these characters and I feel like I could read fifty books about them and never get bored with it!

If you have read the other books in this series, then I am sure you will be crying and smiling while reading this, just like I was. I am sad this book is over but I am excited to read KC's story next and get some glimpses of Frankie and the guys in those books.

The journey through Frankie's life comes to a close with this sweet and touching final story. We get all the threads tied up while woven through the sweet HEA that was long in coming. This has a lot of steam throughout to keep things nice and spicy. If you have been following Frankie's story you'll be sure to love this final episode.

I cannot adequately express my love for this series. It’s just. So. GOOD!! One of my favorite things is that we get all those everyday little moments that get skipped over in most books. The quiet times, between big important events or drama. Frankie, Archie, Coop, Ian, and Jake love HARD. They are always there for each other no matter what. They were best friends first and they always make sure to keep that friendship as the foundation of their relationship. From best friends fighting over Frankie, to agreeing to all be with her, to brother boyfriends, brother fiancés, and finally Brother Husbands, these guys always make their friendship a priority. There have been a few rough spots but they always come through it. I absolutely adore each and every one of these guys and how they all love and cherish Frankie. It’s a beautiful thing and I’ve completely loved being here from the start and watching it all unfold. Heather Long is a master at what she does

Holy crap, what a beautiful ending!!!!

Farewells and Forever is book #12 (and the last 😭) in the Untouchable series. This is a reverse harem. Make sure to read the authors note at the beginning.

Heather, you beautiful soul, have made my Frankie loving heart so damn happy with this final book!!!

I tried to read as slow as possible, cuz i wasn't ready for it to be over, but like every Untouchable book, I devoured every single page!!! We have all been waiting for this since Rules and Roses, and you guys, it's absolutely PERFECT!!!!

Frankie, Archie, Coop, Jake and Ian have fought for their happy ever after and boy do they get it!!! They have formed an amazing family and have grown so much. The love and connection they all have is mindblowing, they have each others backs through everything, and it's been amazing to watch them grow.

The life they have built together is so beautiful and you will be laughing, probably crying happy tears (like me during the vows 😭) and you just might cry sad tears once it's over.

Thank you Heather, for giving us this amazing series and these incredible characters we all love so much. I have lkved every single wild, emotional, beautiful part of this journey with Frankie and the guys, and 12 books later, I am so proud of them and happy for them!!! I just want to thank you for taking us along for the ride ❤❤

The Untouchable series is a masterpiece, and I am so sad it's over, but this was the perfect ending for them!!!

Beautiful End to a Beautiful Story!
Honestly there’s nothing more you could want for Frankie and her boys on top of what Heather delivers! They achieve their hopes and dreams not only in terms of their career but where they want their family to go 🥰
We get to see each of their extended families stories tied up as Frankie, Archie, Coop, Ian and Jake tie the knot in this final book of the series😃
There’s no angst, drama or cliffies just a wonderfully woven love story of family, loyalty and love 😍
If you’re holding back on reading the end, after watching them grow from teenage angst, through trials and tribulations constantly building on their foundation of friendship into mature young adults who know what they want from each other and the world then please don’t….this ending does their story justice and provides insights into their future and it’s everything you could want for them ☺️

What a perfect, sweet, and magical happily ever after for Frankie, Coop, Jake, Ian, and Archie. I smiled, I laughed, and I even shed a few tears. I still can’t believe it’s over. I’m going to miss these five so much. I really don’t want to say too much about Farewells and Forevers besides that it was the absolute perfect goodbye to such an amazing series and some of my favorite characters of all time. The entire Untouchables series was such an amazing journey to be on and it’s such a bittersweet feeling to know that this is the end. Thank you so much for such an incredible ending Heather. ❤️

Oh man….this book is so bittersweet. I am so sad that the Untouchable series has come to and end!! I am sooo going to miss Frankie, Jake, Ian, Coop, and Archie. I am really looking forward to Problem Child and the new series, Blue Ivy Prep, with KC and the rest of the young ladies from Torched. Also, I know I will not be missing out on Rachel’s story!! Frankie and the guys have definitely got their family and know how to make it work for them. I absolutely loved it when Frankie realized what the guys have been doing when she was helping her brother figure out his problems. It made me smile so big. Heather Long has given us (readers) so much with the Untouchable series. From the very first book, Rules and Roses, I was hooked and was along for the ride with each new book I fell in love with Frankie and the guys and loved their journey. If you haven’t read the first eleven books then you need to do that before reading Farewells and Forever or you will definitely be lost and won’t get the true insight into Frankie and her guys. They have all been through so much together and they have grown into incredible people (characters). Hard to remember they are characters in a book they feel like actual people you would meet and instantly want to get to know them. I know that I will miss them and can’t wait to see cameos of them in the future wether in the new series Blue Ivy Prep or when Rachel’s story comes out. I highly recommend Farewells and Forever (after reading the first eleven books), The Untouchable series, and Heather Long as an author. From the very first book Heather Long became apart of my favorite authors list. I love all of her books I have read and can’t wait for more. I can’t say I have read them all but I have read a good portion of them and I am following along with her 82 Street Vandals and very soon will be following along her Blue Ivy Prep. I am thinking of reading her Sinner’s Keep, Brotherhood Protectors and Special Forces, Always a Marine, and/or Wolves of Willows Bend while for Problem Child. Almost forgot to mention that I loved the short story of how Frankie met Coop, Jake, Ian, and Archie and also seeing a bit into Frankie as she met them. It made me laugh and smile so much to read that. Anyways, Happy Reading!!

And just like that, book 12 of the Untouchables has been released. Series Complete. I cannot even express to you how hard this is for me to nonchalantly say that. Frankie & the Guys have played such a pivotal role in my reading life for the last 2.5 years. What a series this has been. From all the craziness that was their senior year to college, to the insanity that was Maddy Curtis, to amazing friendships, found family (in more than one way), to helping each other attain and live their dreams. This series has been absolutely perfect. Everything has been done beautifully.

Farewells & Forever was the perfect book to end the Untouchables on. I adored the “ending” of their story (I say that, but I don’t mean that as I know we will see them in cameos in upcoming series from Heather (HELLO Blue Ivy Prep and then Rachel’s (unnamed but equally anticipated story). And then we can also see some wiggle room for those bonus scenes that Heather Long is known for her in reader group in relation to events in F & F. Every other book in the Untouchables series has led to this book happening, conversations that took place, and even actual events.

So many great moments in F & F…from both weddings, the individual time the guys get to spend with Frankie, to the ever anticipated new nickname for the Brother Boyfriends to change to Brother Husbands. I LOVE and adore reading Frankie scenes with Hank and her family. I’m so tickled that the best thing to come out of “that horrid woman” was Frankie having an amazing Dad and then his family being so awesome. Quite possibly the most perfect chapter ever in this book is chapter 12, no it’s not a sex scene or even one with Frankie & the guys, but one that we have been waiting to witness for years….Jeremy and Archie and a wonderful heart to heart. It made me cry it was so perfect. I loved how after that conversation Archie realized that Frankie had set him up to have a conversation alone with Jeremy. The snippet of the future at the ending of Farewells and Forever was my favorite, though, that little cliffy there….

All the amazing adjectives

I don't know how people write such amazing reviews and are able to articulate themselves to explain how out of this world this book/series is, but I'm going to try... Lets start like this, this series I have been with since the beginning and am completely destroyed in all the best ways. It runs you through the emotional gambit and makes you its willing slave to put yourself at its tender loving care over and over again. Personally I couldn't be more thrilled, heartbroken and overwhelmed then if I was watching a !moving or listening to a song. Which I think is alot of peoples opinion about a celebrity. They have to do one of those three things. But to me Heather long is a celebrity based on the worlds she builds that pull you in and suck you up forging a void of emotions that are impossible. Except she does it so its not really impossible. Got side tracked floating in the praise of heather but back to the book. This series is just one of the magical universes she's shared with us but it will always been my favorite. It dealt with real life situations, real life emotions, and that's one of the ways it made it so amazing to me. I've dealt with some of the situations that happened in the series and the complexity in seeing someone else go through it and how they dealt with it along with the people around them was heartfelt. The friendship, relationships and romance was perfect. Since sometimes books get caught up on just the romance aspects, which this had, but it wasn't the focus, it was just the whipped cream on top of a delicious cup of hot chocolate. I could talk about this series forever and it feels like I have been but I just wanted to put out and try to show how much I love and appreciate this book and author. I can't wait to see what's next.

I feel like I've just said farewell to 5 members of my family, Frankie and the boys have become just that. Heather has made their journey one hell of an emotional ride but it has held my hands, my heart and my mind captivated every step of the way.

Frankie this girl needs no introduction she has been to hell and back but has grown into the most amazing, caring, giving young women imaginable. She's the only one who could ever be there for Coop, Archie, Ian and Jake as their best friend and other half.

Archie, Ian, Jane and Coop have come a long way from the best friends who made Frankie untouchable because if they couldn't have her noone could, they made a hell of a lot of mistakes, risked their hearts and hers but undeniably came through for their girl in the end. Four best friends who would move the earth to see their girl smile, from fancy gestures of private islands to having an iced coffee for her before school they did it all.

Their wedding was the culmination of everything they have shared together, it cemented and solidified their family for the future they all deserved and desired.

Heather you broke my heart multiple times over with these guys and you mended it making it happier and fuller than ever, so thank you for every word, every tear and every smile.

Where to begin? I can’t believe Frankie and the boys story finally got it’s happily ever after! I truly could not have scripted a better last book of a series that was so near and dear to my heart. Heather, this was truly incredible and I thank you for sharing your story with the world. Frankie, Archie, Coop, Ian, and Jake will be missed. Incredibly so. But this was the best ride to have been on. From beginning to end I had to keep telling myself HEA HEA because I was so sad it was the last book.
I loved the ending. It made me smile and just keeps cementing in my brain that family isn’t always who you share blood with. I love how these 5 came together as friends and wound up creating a beautiful life together. I will be so sad to not have anymore new Frankie books to read, but knowing they all got what they wanted and more is satisfying enough in itself. I can not recommend The Untouchable series enough. Everyone needs to be engrossed in Frankie’s life. And the guys are just perfect as well. Thank you for this ❤️

What a phenomenal end to this series. I couldn't have asked for it to be any better than this. As always Heather Long doesn't just make us read the words, she makes us feel, and with a series like this, that is so important. You can feel how connected she is to the characters. The world at this point is very well developed, and the pace is impeccable. The characters never stop evolving and that is so great. Right down to the end we are seeing character developments, and its great to see the emotions flowing.
Frankie and her boys get what they so deserve, and it's wrapped in a beautiful package. The excitement of knowing this is the last of the road, just so we get to see the happily ever after is kinds of over shadowed by the fact that this is it, no more Frankie and the boys, I dragged my feet as much as I could reading this, and I'm not even sorry. This was written in multiple pov, and just so well done. If you haven't started this series, I cannot suggest it enough.

This final book of Frankie, Cooper, Jake, Ian and Archer was an amazing end to an amazing series. It is, of course, bittersweet since we've managed to live with these characters and all of their extended family members for 12 books. But in the end I have no complaints. This was ending they deserved and one that remained true to the story arc - their happily ever after is a work in progress, not a moment in time but something they choose every day together.

This entire book reads like a love letter from the author to these characters and I loved it. I cried, I laughed and through the roller coaster that was this series I found happiness with them in this last book. This series has been such a wonderful world to live in since book 1. With every book I just fell more in love with Frankie and the boys and I can't thank Heather Long enough for sharing these characters and giving me a series I'll come back to again and again.

I was not ready for this series to end....
I thought that i i kept the book and didn't read it that it would mean that i wouldn't have to say goodbye to Frankie,Ian ,Coop,Archie,Jake ..Ratchel,Jeremy,Eddie and all the wonderful characters Heather Long wrote.
I thought i would be bawling my eyes out and having my heart ripped out....
But nothing happened....
As i read each page i felt like finally reaching the end they all deserved.
Justice and closure and love and happiness was finally achieved.
When i read the last page i was smiling and the only thing i could think was
"Thank you" to the author for all her hard work and all the troubles and all the times she put into writing all these 12 books that took me to this amazing journey.
Am i crying now?
Hell yes i am!
These characters will be forever with me.
They are my family and i am glad they are now finally were they were supposed to be.
Thank you Heather Long.

Oh the nostalgia.

I can’t believe it’s officially the end of the Frankie era and oh what a beautifully perfect ending it was.

I couldn’t stop smiling throughout the whole book. The time shifts worked beautifully and it was so amazing to witness so many key moments and live Frankie, Archie, Ian, Jake and Coops future with them.

The epilogue was perfect and I honestly couldn’t have thought of it being better. I am SO grateful for the flash back first meets being included though, I teared up (once again) and going back to such innocent times was amazing, especially because I just love seeing Frankie through the guys’ eyes.

I found my love for Heather through Frankie so this series will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m so excited for the Untouchable world to grow though and have a feeling KC’s story is going to be a ride!

The perfect ending for Frankie and her guys.
This book is so bittersweet , i didn't want to say goodbye to these characters.
This book took me on a rollercoaster ride with my emotions.
I laughed , cried and swooned so much i just didn't want this series to end.
All the way through this series i couldn't pick between the guys.
They're all so swoon-worthy and i have to agree with Frankie i couldn't pick between Coop , Jake , Ian and Archie
Like the rest of this series i devoured this book , I couldn't put it down untill I'd read the very last page.
I would definitely recommend this book and series to anyone that will listen to me. It will be a series i read again and if i could I'd rate it more than five stars. It's an Incredible read.

Farewells and Forever is the 12th and final book of the Untouchable series. Go find the first book. Now.

I don’t know if we could ever have a better finale. Everything is tied up nothing was forgotten. It’s epically perfect, and my most favorite long series ever. I think it’s even better that it wasn’t planned, because the love for this series is as unending as the love this family has for each other.

The Untouchable series will forever be one that will love in my heart. Thank you.

(P.S., I rarely cry reading books. I do. 🤷‍♀️ but I totally bawled like a baby writing this review. I can’t give details, because everything is a spoiler, but this was EVERYTHING we as readers needed.)

Well, wasn’t that just a perfect ending? It was never going to be anything less than 5 stars. The conclusion to Frankie and the guys is just everything you could ever wish for in a book. It was just.. bittersweet but utterly perfect.

Not to get completely sappy, but it was just so heartwarming. There were so many feel good moments. Heather completely did this book and series justice. We laughed, we cried, we loved.

As always, I can tell you nothing, because I want to spoil nothing. You need to know nothing so you can experience it all.

P.S. anyone else wanna know if Trina’s dream job came to fruition? Just me? Ok..

Frankie and the boys have graced my kindle for 11 books and now the 12th and final book has me all in my feelings. It’s hard to believe their story is wrapping up.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heather Long wraps up their story beautifully. I laughed and cried throughout Farewells and Forever. Frankie has always deserved the best of the best and Heather Long delivers it ten fold. Keep the tissues handy and enjoy the conclusion of Frankie’s story - the journey may have been bumpy but it’s been an amazing ride.

Oh oh oh Heather Long - what an absolutely amazing ending to this series. Can’t wait for everyone to read this!

I can’t believe we are here at the end, book 12 of 12, for Frankie & her guys. What. An. Adventure.

While sad at the end, this book was a perfect cap to such a great series. I cannot wait to put this series in rotation as a comfort read - the highs & lows & all the in between.

A wonderful end & I can’t wait for the next books in this wonderful universe that are forthcoming 😍😍

Thank You Heather!!!

I’m not crying 😭…okay I’m crying.

To say I love this book would be putting it mild. This final book wraps up the growth we have experienced with Frankie, Coop, Archie, Ian, and Jake since the beginning. This book pulls at heartstrings, gives closure to a lot of the battles this crew has faced. To see them go from seniors in high school to adults with their own children, is the best HEA a series could give. Highly recommend this series and will be one I continue to re-read for years to come.

LOVED THIS SERIES!!!! It has been an emotional rollercoaster, but it was one I never wanted to get off of. I'm SO sad that their story is over, but I'm also so happy with the happily ever after they got. I can't wait to read KC and Rachel's stories, even if we only get a little bit of Frankie and the guys in there. Thank you Heather for writing this amazing story and it will forever be one of my favorites.

WOW! I hate reading the last book in a series but I really needed this story. Frankie and her guys have been run through a grinder and deserve their happily ever after. I absolutely LOVED this book. The author wrapped up any lingering questions and most importantly left us with hope for the future. This series has been an emotional rollercoaster and I can’t recommend it enough. Well done.

Wow, what can I say except that even though I’m sad it’s over this final book was the perfect way to say goodbye. Frankie and her guys have definitely had their share of ups and downs throughout the 12 books. We’ve all cried and screamed so it’s well deserved to be able to give a very satisfied smile and a deep exhale when I turned the last page. Highly recommend this series!
