Holy crap, I'm flabbergasted, this is probably one of my top favorite bodyguard romances!
I stayed up so I could read it when it landed on my kindle at midnight - intending on reading only a couple of chapters, I read the whole bloody thing in one massive gulp and I have zero regrets!
Hunter was everything I want in a hero, steady, hot, capable, caring, reliable, and he went above and beyond for our heroine.
I loved the chemistry between Hunter and Katarina.
When the book opens, they're already in each others lives, so we didn't have to wait for the meet-cute.
It was delicious how bothered he felt by her because he couldn't have her because of his bodyguarding, so it made every interaction so perfect.
The angst is low and done perfectly, but there is some intrigue which I loved.
Katarina is such a sweet heroine but has depth to her so she's not just a sally. I loved how she tries to see the best of people even when something shitty has been happening to her for three years.
Manhattan Protector is everything you can expect from this author. The steam and romance is off the charts GOOOOOOOD.

This series is standalone but for the diehard fans of it you get to see some familiar faces and that's always my favorite thing.

I'm screaming in love with this book!
It's what bodyguard and starlet tropes should be.
The longing was gooooooooood!!!
Cranky/Sunshine done well too. Most grumpy heroes lose their grump after two minutes but Hunter is cranky to the very end and that's how Katarina loves him.

The possessiveness didn't only come from our hero. The heroine was just as obsessed with being near Hunter too. They have such banter and she knows how to handle her grumpy bodyguard and does it with a smile on her face. They have great banter and even greater frissons that burned my eyes out. When the sex happened, WOWEEEEE it was hottttt. Their dynamic from the get-go made me want to turn the pages to see what happened next with them.
Ohhh, and there's a nap date! I swoon. And how can you not fall for a guy who reads romance for you?
Perfectly written, I love how V. Theia draws me into their lives right away and it feels like an effortless read.
Hunter is not only there for physical protection, but he takes care of her emotions too, and rebuilding her confidence.

When a book just leaves you with a big sappy dreamy grin on your face, you know you read something fantastic. I already want to read again so I can highlight my best lines.
Manhattan Protector is book 9 in the From Manhattan series but it is a complete standalone, as all the books are, you can read out of order. We see some familiar faces ( swoon for Dominic and Tom ) but the story stands on its own merit.
The famous supermodel and the stoic bodyguard and a whole lot of heat, love and romance.
When Hunter arranged a nap date I was done for. My heart melted into a puddle. He loves this woman and I think he has from meeting her two years previously but was determined to keep a professional stance between them, even though Katarina and all her niceness wormed her way into his heart.
I loved seeing the brit-terms (our heroine is from the UK) and it made me laugh because I recognized it all.
So sweet, so loving, so fucking sexy!!
That bodyguard knows how to make his woman come!!
If you're looking for a well written, easy to follow bodyguard romance with so much 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ check out Katarina and Hunter falling in love.

When you pick up a v theia book it feels like coming home and when it was announced the Kat and Hunter would get a book I was so excited because who doesn’t like a bodyguard romance?
We all would like a man who would protect us to the ends of the earth. I loved these characters, Katerina was funny, teasing but also vulnerable I felt my heart break for her with the situation she was going through.
And then we have hunter, broody, a man of few words but boy does he have action.
Both when they finally admit it you will be happy with the reward and payout. There are mentions of other people in the Manhattan world although this is stand alone people who have read others will be happy to hear from them. And the bonus screen… V what are you doing to me. I do not need another couple I am now intrigued about- who am I kidding of course I do.

Another fantastic story told in the way only V Theia can.
The model and her security guard.... it was never going to be easy. The hot, steamy, over the top protective and jealous nature they both portray is balanced with their need to be close to each other at all times, giving plenty of hot smexy times.
Add in the twist of a stalker and a smattering of betrayal and you've got one great story.
As always the epilogues had me punching the air in delight.... I can't wait for those.

I have enjoyed this series abs this book was no exception. My issue was there was more telling of story than verbal. I would have loved more between them and the ending although good, I felt like I wanted more.

Ahh.....hm. I loved LOVED her this is love duet. And her other books. This one.....hm.
He is a grumpy guy who owns his own security firm and she's very talkative and sunshiney.
She's a model with a stalker and he protects her and has a hard time with his feelings for her.
But he gets with the program and effs her until STUFF HAPPENS and she finds out he has/had a wife? She runs and what bothered me the most is that her body betrayed her when he caught her and she effs him again without even discussing the wife thing 😬😐😐😐
And there are times where she whines for sheit. Omgahhhhh that was annoying. You don't need to shine about anything! You're a supermodelw with a bodyguard who will give you orgasms with no questions 😬😬

Katarina was a famous model from London who was based in Manhattan. The last few years her career had taken off but she also acquired a stalker. Because of of the stalker turning up at places she was making appearances she hired Hunter’s security company to guard her. She purposely made the other guards feel uncomfortable so Hunter would have to guard her personally.
Hunter swore he would never become involved with a client but the day he saw Katarina Young he was drawn to her. This is a bit of an age gap as Katarina was 25. I don’t think it said exactly how old Hunter was but it insinuated he was older and I would guess at least mid 30’s.
The sexual tension between Katarina and Hunter finally broke and when it did there were some hot scenes. Let’s just say they were like bunnies in the bedroom. Energizer bunnies!
This book was really low angst. It had the stalker facet to the story but otherwise no major drama which for me was good. I read a lot of heavy and dark and this was just the right amount of drama for me.
I loved Hunter’s jealousy and possessiveness. It was a bonus that Katarina was just as jealous as he was.
As V. Theia always does this story drew me in. I loved seeing the characters from her other Manhattan books that made cameos in this one. I loved Hunter’s grumpy vs Katarina’s sunshine personality dynamic. This was another great addiction to the Manhattan series.

So bodyguard romance is not always something I enjoy reading but Ms. Theia has made me fall in love with it with this story.
I love a little age gap romance with all the alpha vibes and Hunter is so alpha!
I can honestly say that something I love about all Vic's books is that there is an amazing flow to the story line. The friendship that is developed before the love story begins makes me so happy and then the build up just knocks it out of the park!
Hunter is exactly what you need in a hero being capable, caring, affectionate, reliable and of course hot while going above and beyond for out heroine.
Katarina was an amazing heroine funny, smart, totally bad ass knowing her mind but also being vulnerable and you could really feel her happiness because it just jumped off the page.
I won't spoil this for you but I will say that if you need a story with twists, turns, drama and some seriously sexy times then you should be reading this book now!!!!!

Color me surprised when I found out there was going to be another story in the From Manhattan series. I had thought that everything was pretty much done with this series. I was not disappointed when I discovered this though.
It took me a little bit to connect this story with all of the other characters. It wasn't until Tom first made an appearance and then Dominic that I finally was able to have the pieces fall into place. I kept trying to rack my head wondering if Katarina was a secondary character that I had met previously and was just blanking on.
This was not my favorite from this author but it was still a good book. It still had all the trademark dirty talk and strong leading men that she is known for in Hunter. For some reason though, I did not connect with Katarina until the end, although I did like the banter between the characters and the sharing of books. I didn't fully understand the need for the stalker aspect of this story. Hunter could have just been a bodyguard because she was a world-famous bodyguard. It felt a little anticlimactic.

4.5 stars for this entry in the "From Manhattan" universe. I have a weakness for grumpy heroes paired with sunshine heroines. Add in some age gap and the hero protecting the heroine and I am absolutely there for it.
I loved Hunter. I loved how possessive and protective he was of Katarina as she deals with an ongoing stalker. I loved how hard he fought against his growing feelings and how he tried to remain that professional distance even as helpless as he is against the warmth that shines from Katarina I generally love this author's heroines, and Katarina was no exception. It did take me a bit to warm to here because she was just so sunshiney, but she grew on me and I appreciated her heart. Their chemistry was palpable and watching their relationship evolve had me finishing this book in one sitting. I love this world and I also love watching a surly bodyguard find his love with an eternal sunshine girl. Life is not all peaches and cream for Katarina, but she is a optimistic. I mean who could stay afraid of a stalker when you have your Viking to protect you, right?
In pure V fashion it took a minute, an internal struggle and a bit of jealousy before Hunter caved, but when he did sparks flew. So yes " take me back to Manhattan" where I got to see familiar faces and burn it up with Katarina and Hunter. I highly recommend this book and the entire series of interconnected stand alones. Don't miss out!

I wasnt in love with Katarina. Not sure why.

Five smashing stars! This delicious story of Hunter's and Katarina was incredible to read! Tantalizing and arousing, with a touch of angst and intrigue. I was pleased at all the cameo appearances of some of my favorite characters of V. Theia's sprinkled within the pages of the book. And the epilogue, left me hungry for more!

What i love best about this From Manhattan serious is all the friends are connected in some way to each other, but the stories stand alone and you never feel lost. The author knows how to sprinkle enough familiarity for the regular readers but keep it deliciously fresh for the newbies.
Our bodyguard is connected to the hitman Dominic Dragna from Manhattan Target.
Katarina is connected to Tom and Mack from Manhattan Bet.
And what a treat to see those couples again.
Katarina is dealing with a pesky stalker, it's low drama but there's enough there from this crazy guy to keep the story moving. I love how Katarina deals with it herself in the end but Hunter is there to finish it, and was willing to cross boundaries to keep his woman safe.
He might have held himself back for a few years, but when he was in, Hunter was ALL IN and their first kiss nearly blinded me with lust.
It only got better from there.
All the jet setting dates and sexy times were phenomenal.
So spicy and romantic.
I loved every second and as always there is a tease to what stories will come in future books and I'm here for it.

Katarina Young belongs to me.
Now I only have to figure out how not to be a cold prick and navigate a relationship with her.
I don't even know how to express the amount of feelings this book brought to the surface... it was the perfect amount of low angst and yet addictive main characters I look for. And V. Theia delivered.
I can't resist a grumpy hero and one who doesn't turn into mush after five minutes of meeting. Hunter is grumpy and stoic because he tries so hard to remain professional while guarding the ultra famous supermodel, Katarina. She's british, and such a lovely and genuinely nice female who gets underneath Hunter's skin.
They have a fantastic connection. She's the only one who can get Hunter to act on his desire for her.
He's a dirty, delicious boy with dominant tendencies and their chemistry is hotter than lava.
This is a jet setting romance, taking us to several countries, it's extended foreplay and I loved all the cuddling and hand holding and how he takes care of Katarina, especially against a stalker.
I loved the little twists regarding who was the one to mess with Katarina. And then the little bit of OW drama.
So so so good.

The Bodyguard and the Supermodel
It was good to get back to the Manhattan world--we got bits and pieces of Katarina and Hunter in previous books, and I couldn’t wait for their story. I was soooooo excited. I probably say this with all of V’s books, but this is one of the best in the series…they all are. What I like about Hunter and Katarina’s story is that it was both sweet and explosive—at the same time. They have so much chemistry, and the fact that Hunter fought it for so long made it even more explosive.
Hunter is easily one of my favorite book boyfriends in the Manhattan world. Hunter wanted Katarina but felt he wasn’t good enough for her. He didn’t want to hurt her while she patiently waited for him to make his move—she was heads over heels in love with her dangerous bodyguard.
As always, some visitors from the Manhattan world made appearances—always the highlight for me just to catch a glimpse…I love Tom.
I recommend this book to all romance lovers who love tons of steamy smexy times. Although this can be read as a stand-alone, I highly suggest you read the first book in the series. As a matter of fact, start with the Taboo Love Duet, and meet my favorite Manhattan couple—trust me, you don’t want to miss any of the books in this series.

Wow! Where can I find a bodyguard like Hunter?! All dangerous and sexy and just oh so perfect! He may be all growly but when it comes to protecting Katarina, he is fierce! She is a breath of fresh air and I could see being friends with her in real life. She is kind, caring, bubbly and has feelings for her delicious bodyguard, but isn’t sure how to show him. He is there to protect her but Katarina wants more! Her attraction to him is palpable, as is his for her. You can feel the lust between them. These two have amazing chemistry and their interactions will make you chuckle and cry and make you fall in love with both of them.
I’m a lover of the Manhattan series and this is a perfect addition. I also love how this author “sprinkles” other characters sporadically throughout which makes it an even better story. Yet again this author proves to me why I love her stories so much. Her words make me fall in love with the story and get characters where they are imbedded deep in my heart and soul. Do I recommend this book? That would be a definitive yes!

I'm such a fan of this author, she writes what I love best in romances. There's always a guaranteed fantastic HEA delivered with all the bells and whistles, never any cheating or other people drama. So i always go into a Theia book with a comfort that I will enjoy the fuck out of it.
Manhattan Protector didn't let me down.
Lead characters with such a connection.
Grumpy/sunshine that is sustained throughout and they love each other for exactly how they are.
Lots of fun banter and brit terms I loved.
I can't get enough of these Manhattan books. These friends are all interconnected but can be read as individual books (some are even set in the future with the next generation kids)
I fell in love again! A terrific read.

Loved the relationship that developed between Hunter and Katarina, they're already in each other's lives when the book starts. The grumpy bodyguard is so bothered by her and the want of her is clear to feel on every page. They were so sexy and just too darn cute… the exchange text messages and sighed conversations. The way Hunter reacts to seeing Katarina made me grin and how Katarina teases him with her eternal sunshine personality despite her life being plagued by a stalker. She was the perfect, unproblematic heroine I enjoy to see.

An absolute must read if you love anything to do with heroes guarding the heroine and will do anything for her.

Pretty steady pace. A few visitors from the Manhattan world make appearances along the way. Hunter and Katarina end up being great companions as he spends so much time with her as her guard. She is friendly and nice to all of them, but she and Hunter keep dancing around what they feel for a couple years. Protecting her is the priority. I thought the ex thing was a letdown as far as what happened and what was going on. Kat’s stalker keeps them on their toes and is pretty upsetting for her. The things the stalker manages is pretty bad, but psycho knows what he is doing. Sweet ending.
