Their Reign, the final installment in The Rite trilogy by A. Zavarelli and Natasha Knight, picks up right where it's predecessor left off. I'm glad too, because these authors had me day drinking at the end of the Her Rebellion! I was cursing Mercedes and Judge out like they could hear me, and I may or may not have cursed a certain sadistic author duo as well.
The first half of the story, our hero and heroine spend some time away from each other, and as much I hated it, it was necessary. Judge needed something to light a fire under his ass, and Mercedes needed to control her own life again. They both needed to experience what being apart would feel like and decide if the decisions they were making were the right ones.
The latter half of the book is where the magic happened for me. There was violence, suspense, sex, friendship, mending of broken relationships, and so much emotion! I adore the way everything turned out with Judge and Mercedes, and I even had a change of heart about a certain character who shall remain nameless (but if you read the book, you probably know who I'm talking about).
Dark and mafia romance fans, this trilogy is for you!

What is it about these two authors together that just hits the spot for me each and every single time? It's a rare event that I love each book in a trilogy. Usually book two feels like filler or book three feels stretched out or I just lose interest. But this trilogy owned me from beginning to end. I can't get enough of this world
I've been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to Mercedes and Judge's story, and this final installment didn't disappoint. It was everything I'd hoped for and more. Judge and Mercedes both have grown so much throughout this series. The evolution of their characters was one of the most satisfying things to read. You watch Mercedes go from a perception of the spoiled, poor little rich girl to a fierce woman with a spine of steel. You watch Judge go from a cold, unaffected man with demons to someone with soft edges he only allows his woman to see. The way he protects her even while he won't allow himself to have her. Swoon!
The story itself was a page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. And I swear on all things holy, if Judge's brother doesn't get a book, I will riot. RIOT I tell you. We ride at dawn.
If you're looking for a sexy, gritty trilogy that will keep you riveted from beginning to end, you need to read this.

Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s the third installment in "The Rite" trilogy and should be read in order. The story picked up right after book two left off. Here Judge fights with his demons and decides which one should be the winner: his head or his heart. He learns to give up some of his control and give it to Mercedes and values her independence. And it all happens because Mercedes decides to have her own life, a life without Judge in it! She is trying to spread her wings… All in all, it was a good read and hope you like it as well!

In Their Reign, Mercedes and Judge are finally at the end of the road! And how could they not get their happy ever after? Mercedes knows that she has exhausted every possible option to convince Judge they should be together; however, Judge is unwilling to allow himself to have her. Despite doing his best to push her away, he cannot help but keep her right next to him. The story picks up exactly where Her Reign stopped, and the reader is thrust right into the action. The plot is full of suspense and delicious tension as the characters fight to get what they want.
Told in dual POV, the connection between Judge and Mercedes is explosive, passionate, and nothing short of perfection. The dialogue is edgy, the intimacy is hot, and the romantic suspense will leave you on the edge of your seat with every page turn!
Overall, with action, complex characters, and intricate writing, I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who enjoys Mafia romance! I adored every single second with Judge and Mercedes. There is just something magical when A Zavarelli and Natasha Knight gets together. I am now suffering the worst book hangover of all time, and I can only hope that there is more of The Society to come!

Excuse me! I just received this ARC and I devoured it right away! I wasn't expecting the ARC so early! It made my day. Now that I've finished this book, I can honestly claim that this trilogy is by far my favorite project from both authors. It has Zavarelli's masterful sexual tension and Knight's enemies to lovers intense chemistry. I'm a sucker for these types of characters on both ends, the heroine and the hero. I enjoyed myself while reading this trilogy and I can say it's one of my favorites that I've read lately!

Heart-achingly angsty, deliciously intense, and epically romantic- the finale to the Rite Trilogy enchants and consumes. What an emotionally gripping and beautifully penned conclusion to this mesmerizing love story, a total addiction from start to finish! Judge and Mercedes own my whole heart- hands down one of my favorite duos from the two queens of dark romantic suspense storytelling.
I went into this series loathing and distrusting our heroine- a pseudo villainess in another trilogy I adore. But Mercedes has captured my entire heart, she’s consumed my soul completely. Hers is so much more than a story of survival. So much more than a dark and deliciously twisted love story. This is Mercedes' story of redemption- about a wounded and lost girl shrouded in an act of bravado and steel finding TRUE inner strength, finding her true power, her true self- and it comes from the most radical and complicated act of all. Self-forgiveness, and self-love. Mercedes can only crawl out of the darkness once she has the courage to pave the path to her own redeeming moments. And pave them she does. It's by far one of the most compelling character arcs this amazing duo has written. To transform Mercedes so completely, while still holding onto the very fabric of her character. She faces her demons, embraces her flaws, and fights for the life she wants. All because of her love for a man who can’t seem to fully love her back. Mercedes finds her equilibrium, loving the monster in her while also finding the woman. And the woman is so much stronger than she knew.
But Judge has a parallel journey- just as impactful and moving as Mercedes. While Mercedes' trauma has manifested in a wildness he set out to squelch, he’s veiled his in stoic duty. But, she’s unhinged him completely. Just as he’s cracked her in two. He too is confronting his own monster, the part of himself he’s buried deep under his facade of control and order. Judge has to find the bravery to risk his heart, to risk his emotional safety, one he’s worked hard to protect. And when we see his true heart- it’s breathtaking. This is a man so giving, so radiantly loving, so GOOD, and in Mercedes eyes, he finally sees his worth.
Both of these characters have fought so hard to find their own worthiness, to carve a place for themselves in a world that has dedicated so much of their identity. They so handily break down one another’s walls. This finale is really about healing and redemption through the courage of vulnerability- the bravery it takes to love another fully, and the bravery it takes to find love for yourself. Mercedes sees the good in the man who fails to see it in himself. Judge sees the gentleness and tenderness in a woman who’s masked pain in iron. And that TERRIFIES them both so completely. And what a riveting journey it is watching them fight themselves, fight each other, fight the whole world to accept what they already knew- their love is indomitable. And they are truly worthy of it. Of each other. Of happiness and healing. Of FORGIVENESS.
Hands down a favorite series from this duo- the redemption, the dark romance, and the complex character journeys are total chefs kiss. I was sad to turn the final page, but oh so in love.

My babies are back! This was the conclusion I needed. A strong-willed Mercedes, a groveling Lawson (Judge), an apologetic Theron and protective Solana and Georgie. WE ARE HERE FOR IT.
I'm sure we all love to see Judge finalllllly admit to himself that he loves Mercedes and that he wants her and the babies, but I'm also happy to see Mercedes making him work for it. To think I didn't really like Mercedes in the first book.
Georgie and Solana didn't make it easy for Judge and neither did Santiago! The one who actually helped him? Sweet Ivy 🥰 It takes a strong person to help out the person who caused you so much pain.
I miss her. I feel the loss of her like a hole in my chest. Something I have never experienced before. And, strangely, I cling to it.
One of the things that shocked me the most? The redemption arc (I hope) we're getting for Theron. If you would have told me that I would *need* this for him in book one or two, I would have laughed. But I do, I need it. I need to see where this goes 😍 A GIRL NEEDS A HAPPY ENDING FOR EVERYONE 🤧😤

This is the final installment in The Rite Trilogy and it was one entertaining ride! I just can't seem to get enough of this word so when the book landed on my Kindle, I jumped straight into it! After the last cliffhanger, I was desperate to continue reading and let me tell you that this book did not disappoint! This had more humour and a light-hearted vibe than the last two books and I loved it. This entire series was so captivating and the writing and plot kept me hooked. This book was intense, fast paced, told in dual pov's (with one additional surprise pov, you'll have to read to find out). It took a while for Mercedes & Judge's relationship to transform into something more but I enjoyed the process because it made sense considering the circumstances that they had to survive in. Though their new playful side that came out towards the end was phenomenal! Overall, this entire trilogy was as exciting as I expected. It was delightful to see all the characters come together and form their own little family, especially Ivy & Santiago. When Natasha Knight & A Zavarelli come together, they never fail to deliver an exquisite story that leaves me in awe! I am looking for to read more of their future collaborations together.

As much as it pains me to say it, I didn’t love this trilogy at all. 🙁 I will say it kept me entertained and I didn’t hate it, hence the four stars, but so many things just didn’t make sense to me.
I didn’t understand the obsession with Theron for one. Judge is soooo “possessive” yet his brother beat his would be wife and gets to live?? Not only does he get to live but he gets to be part of the family after all?? I don’t get that, in no other book that I’ve read has someone hurt the h like he did and lived. That honestly pissed me off.
And the pushing away pissed me off. Judge pushed the h away the entire series. Literally until I think the last 70%ish of this last book. I didn’t get his sudden change of heart. All of a sudden he decides “hey maybe I’m not bad and I won’t beat the shit out of her like my grandfather did to my mom and grandma”?? How? He was soooo (stupidly) convinced that he was going to “be like his grandfather” 😤🙄😤🙄😤🙄 and suddenly that just goes away. He literally does a 180 and I didn’t understand it. It was too little too late for me.
Also Solana annoyed the shit out of me and I didn’t like her
Note to self because I know I won’t remember later: if Theron gets a book don’t read it. You hate both him and Solana

What a fantastic conclusion to Mercedes and Judge’s story, I absolutely loved it and this couple🤩
The story picks up where we left off from the second book, except Mercedes is hiding a secret from Judge so she plans to escape the house and go to parts unknown. An unlikely ally steps in to help but nothing will stop Judge from finding her❣️
I won’t say much more as I feel this will then all be spoilers but the above is enough to give you a hint of what’s happening I hope😉 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️

What an intoxicating journey was that!!! Wow!!!
I devoured this book in a night and now, I am truly sad that I have to be separated from Judge and Mercedes and the IVI world!!!
I believe that I will never be satisfied from this world... I will always want more and more...
So pretty please, ladies, just keep feeding my addiction with more stories placed in the Society world!!! I adore all of them and they are making my day!!!

And the last part of this beautiful, raw and dark story had come to an end!!!
Judge and Mercedes are not anymore the same people that they were in the beginning... Their relationship had changed so much and their feelings are playing the leading role in here...
But Judge has made many mistakes with his little monster and his denial to acknowledge his feelings is threatening everything that he had built with Mercedes...
Plus, he had betrayed his best friend and it is about time to face the concequences!!!

Mercedes loves fiercely Judge, but she has something greater to fight for, so she has to choose her path wisely...
She can not live into a world that is putting her down and she is determined to fight a whole society for a slice of Heaven...

She will fight with teeth and nails to protect the most important thing in her life....

I adore this couple... They had covered a long way since the beginning...
Lawson has changed and I loved this change very much...
He was tough as a nail, but a woman managed to bring him on his knees!!!
As for Mercedes??? Yes, I disliked her in the Society trilogy, but in here, she had managed to steal my heart... I love that she was holding her own and I liked the way that she was fighting for what she wanted!!!
This trilogy was a solid 5 stars for me and I recommend it to everyone....

I devoured this book in a night and now, I am truly sad that I have to be separated from Judge and Mercedes and the IVI world!!!
I believe that I will never be satisfied from this world... I will always want more and more...

I adore this couple... They had covered a long way since the beginning...
Lawson has changed and I loved this change very much...
He was tough as a nail, but a woman managed to bring him on his knees!!!
As for Mercedes??? Yes, I disliked her in the Society trilogy, but in here, she had managed to steal my heart... I love that she was holding her own and I liked the way that she was fighting for what she wanted!!!
This trilogy was a solid 5 stars for me and I recommend it to everyone....

Third book in The Rite trilogy, Their Reign concludes Judge and Meredith's story with a sweeter tone than I would have expected, considering the first two books and the other series set in the Society universe.
This opus focuses on feelings, family ties and friendship. I enjoyed seeing this side of the main caracters, it had a "feel good" vibe. However, I missed greatly the darkness, the the danger and the tension that thrilled me in the previous books.
The characters nicely and beautifully evolved and learned from their decisions, but I didn't care much for Mercedes' pregnancy and other family events. If the writing style was there, the atmosphere was not the one that has me riveted to the pages, unfortunately.

Their Reign (The Rite Trilogy 3) by Natasha Knight and A Zavarelli picks up with Mercedes being kidnapped and Judge trying to figure out who took her. I was curious as to how the authors were going to conclude this story. I had the privilege to speak with them at Rare Edinburgh and I did express my questions and concerns. They did not disappoint. There were so many questions and concerns regarding Mercedes and Judge, Judge and Santiago's relationship and of course Mercedes pregnancy and how Judge was going to respond. All were answered. And answered in such a lovely way, I was just over the moon. The story flowed and I was invested from the beginning to the end. I love Judge and his transformation regarding his feelings towards Mercedes. The growth of Mercedes was quite the treat. Always loved the relationship between Judge and Mercedes. Their yo yo, hot cold, back and forth relationship was enough to give me whiplash. I also enjoyed the relationship between Judge and his brother. Eventhough he is technically not a Sovereign Son, a secret the Society is not aware of, I am looking forward to his book. It should be rather interesting considering the bread crumbs we were giving in this book. Always a pleasure seeing Ivy and having access to her and Santiago's life with their daughter. I look forward in the next book seeing the evolution of Judge and Mercedes relationship. A 5 star read for me.

July 7, 2022No rating because I just skimmed read this shit for ❤️Theron❤️ but after realizing that Solana is his potential love interest even he lost his allure. If he gets his own book, I hope the authors give him a new heroine because Theron deserves someone who’s as unfathomable and convoluted as him. But this bitch Solana is just loud and obnoxious and so vile and therefore really undeserving of my baby Theron. None will be more disappointed than me if they end up being a couple. 😡

Judge can stick it up his ass really. All that time wasting time when he can man up and do right by Mercedes but instead he, time and time again, deflects and wallow in self pity. 😵💫
Mercedes is strong (almost perfect here), everything she did; she knew in her heart was the best decision she could make, given the cards she was dealt with at the time. I wish she had more steel, more fury before letting him back in. At the same time, I feel for her. I kind of understood its more realistic? this way.
Personally i would’ve loved to see a more gut wrenching groveling but it’s still a great read. Just not as gratifying as i thought it would without the groveling.
I’m definitely excited to see what Solana book will give. I’m still surprised that this author could make me actually want to read next book with the questionable lover in question 🫣

This is the last installment in Mercedes and Judge's story. It was enjoyable to read, not so eventful compared to the previous two books and less steamy for sure. I liked how the relationships between several of the characters turned out. I can't wait to read the next one in the Society world.

This series was so freaking good with this book being the conclusion. Just as the first two this book had twist and turns. There were times were I wanted to reach in and slap Judge. The entire series takes us through Judge and Mercedes growth and it was happy at times and so so sad at times. Them together amazing!! I just absolutely loved this series and these two authors. It is a must read!

Finished it in one day!!! Definitely UNPUTDOWNABLE!!! What a perfect conclusion to Judge and Mercedes' love story. It was not an easy one. The heartache, the pain, the healing, the intensity, the angst, the forbidden. I LOVE everything about it.
This is the 3rd book in the trilogy so you'll have to read His Rule and Her Rebellion before this one.
Judge totally got on my nerves a few times. Like just admit it Judge. Lol I wish Mercedes would have made it harder for Judge, but at the same time, they deserve their happiness together.
Let me say Santiago made it even better!!! I was legit screaming when Santiago made an appearance. Lol You go get him Santi!!! LOL

Another great one. Mercedes comes into her own, gains and is respected for her independence. But Lawson "Judge" Montgomery can't let her go, fighting for their love and trying to overcome his demons even with his family. A steamy turbulent and sometimes humorous affair especially with those fun and great side characters from previous series. Judge was so deliciously jealous in this one, and he and Mercedes, despite their issues couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Mercedes' friends were the best, ride or die. Lovely happy ever after among mended relationships of family and friends. Great ending to a fabulous series. Could we hope for another with Judge's brother?

Great ending to a wonderful trilogy.
Can we get a Theron and Solana’s book?
I actually thought Theron would keep playing the villain in this book. It was quite the surprise to watch him genuinely be sorry and wish for forgiveness.
This book was more about healing and finding peace in the darkness they have all endured. Jude and Mercedes’s relationship and the absolute angst was such a rollercoaster and I didn’t want it to end.
I love how Santiago wanted the best for his sister and gave her the freedom she has always wanted and trusted her enough to make decisions outside of what they were use to.

He could not marry her and give her the happy ending she wanted but that did not mean he was going to let her go. Ever.
Mercedes could not live as a prisoner any longer. Not when she had someone else to protect as well now. She knew the council would hurt her. Break her. And Judge won't be able to save her from it so she runs. She knows that Judge will find her and make her pay but staying away is for their good. When he comes to know what has happened, what their time led to, he will be the one who will leave her forever this time.
Overall Opinion :
OMG, Mercedes and Lawson are back! I have been waiting for their conclusion forever and now that I have read it, I am just so happy. The best thing about these authors is the amazing speed at which they release books. I know I am being greedy as hell by demanding something like this but omg x I absolutely looove them for it!!!
Mercedes and Judge have a trilogy which will end with this book. Their take is something which will be loved by many I am sure. It's full of heat, pain and eventually love. The ending was the best part. We also got tons of cameos from Santiago, Ivy and so many more Council people. Hell I even have another probable couple for myself. Let's hope we get more stories from this world!!!!
Definitely recommending this one for all the dark romance loving people out there!

Judge and Mercedes are back for the last time and it's so bittersweet! I enjoyed reading about these two, however toxic & whiplash-inducing their relationship may have been because there's no doubt they're meant for one another. I do definitely have my reservations with some blurred consent lines across this series, so please make sure you check TW before you read any of these books.
Honestly, even though His Rule and Her Rebellion fell a little short for me, this book was so good. I truly couldn't find fault with it. There was top notch groveling and a helpless Judge who would do anything to get Mercedes back, which he kind of deserved after the chokehold he kept on her. Judge was so sweet and the way he felt joy/hope at the pregnancy and Mercedes being her usual independent, fiery self was fabulous.
The Santi & Ivy moments in this book were also gold. I loved seeing Santi & Mercedes and Ivy & Mercedes mend their relationships because it was so pure. Protective Santi was so sweet as well. And Ivy being so excited about the babies was so cute. The Judge & Santi relationship–which obviously was tested in this book–development and where they are now was also really nice to see.
There were an abundantly high number of very sweet numbers which I lapped up like a puppy. And it was so wonderful to finally see their beautiful happy ending together which they really deserved. The epilogue has my whole entire heart! It was everything I needed to feel so magically complete.
Really loved seeing the Solana & Theron set up in this book as well!
