Po bolesnym pożegnaniu kończą się wreszcie walki w wieży pośród wydm. Jednak zły los znów postanawia zabawić się naszym bohaterem. Subaru Natsuki zostaje przeniesiony w odległe miejsce. Goniąc pokojówkę, Subaru napotyka podejrzanego mężczyznę, który skrywa twarz pod bandażami. Arogancki nieznajomy ma o sobie wyjątkowo wysokie mniemanie.

– Proszę, zaśmiej się… To mi wystarczy.

Początek księgi siódmej, w której Subaru styka się z nieznanym.

– Postaram się. Przecież jestem twoim bohaterem!

The infamous axe guy arc. This CAN'T be all it was about, but I guess the aura monster scene wasn't a major scene either way. Well, it was mildly interesting, though the ending had a sort of asspull moment that cemented the timeline it seems. Tappei is also building up Abel to be a major character, but he seems interesting enough so far. just a smidge of personality, so I'll allow it. I only have a couple of translated volumes left, so gonna gobble them up as well.

Fajny tom - ciekawie się czyta, jak Subaru mierzy się z nieznanym, ale jednocześnie jest bardzo smutno w tych momentach, gdy traci wszystko, co udało mu się osiągnąć (jak wtedy, gdy umiera od zatrutej strzały Utakaty). O jego relacji z Rem też ciężko się czyta :(, mam nadzieję, że w kolejnych tomach będzie im lepiej.

A good volume. As usual, Subaru is in a new difficult situation as he can’t win for losing. Looking forward to the rest of this arc.

Great start to arc 7, crazy worldbuilding

The start of Arc7…

This book had one of the best pacing out of all arcs’ for an introduction to a new storyline. I wasn’t expecting it to be this packed full of action and mystery just from the start, it didn’t feel like a start up at all.
It kept me awake all night, I couldn’t stop reading it (once again).
I love love how this arc is about making Subaru learn about losses (just like arc5) and making him realise not everything in life is within his control even when he can return by death.
My recommendation for you is to read the side stories, because I was so so looking forward to people recognising who Subaru is because basically he is not how/who he is when he first got isekaid, he achieved many things and I believe he has made a name after himself. And actually he gets recognised (but they don’t believe Subaru, they think he uses it as an alias) but this is mentioned in the side stories.

I’m giving this four stars- only because of the lack of other side characters that I love, plus I hate the female character designs :(

Wann immer ein neuer Re: Zero Arc anfängt, ist der erste Band eine faszinierende Sache. Er muss so viel vorbereiten, aber gleichzeitig für sich genommen auch eine geile Geschichte sein. Dieses Buch konzentriert sich vorwiegend auf die eigene abgerundete Story und man hat keine Ahnung, worum es im größeren Bild geht (etwas, dass sich durch den ganzen siebten Arc zieht). Dementsprechend liegt die Stärke aber in der Geschichte selbst.

- Die Dynamik von Subaru und Rem war absolutes Highlight
- Todds Einführung und sein Charakter sind so cool
- Shudrak und Vollakia sind schönes Worldbuilding

- Wirkt alles sehr zufällig zusammengeworfen
- Ab hier fängt der miese Trend an, dass wichtige Szenen nur in Kurzgeschichten sind
