Plot inconsistencies between books and lack of character development make for a disappointing end…
This was nowhere as good as Willows series. For some reason this felt disorganized and lost. I can overlook editing mistakes but not inconsistencies of narrative, character, and story. ***WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!!!*** 3 2 1 ________________________________________________
In book two we are told that the Coven wants Aurelia to take the High Council seat, but she, as the story progresses, comes to the logical conclusion that she probably won’t get the seat since the Coven keep undermining her. She even mentions that she would be glad if she didn’t have to worry about it anymore since they made her Coven head against her will. She knows she has to play along to find out what they are truly plotting but she isn’t coveting that position at all. But in this book it’s as if she’s back to the way she was in book one with her naïveté through the roof. Even though she herself knows the Coven is plotting to destroy her she now is back to wanting their approval and is disappointed that she didn’t get the High Council seat.
Where did this 180 degree change come from? It wasn’t even hinted at that she was slipping back into her old childhood patterns of thinking.
Another example of inconsistencies are the real names of her pack mates. In book two she literally read their names in the back of the picture she found including hers as Valentine, yet when she’s told her pack have been taken to the Valentine royal house it’s not once mentioned. She saw and even mentioned that Zane and Ace had the same last name as if they were brothers, yet in this book she says she doesn’t even know their last names.
So which is it? Did she read everyone’s true fae names in the back of the photos or not? Because if she did, then her actions and comments in this book make no sense, or she is horrendously stupid. You could have had a picture of all of them at the Fae picnic without the names which would then allow book three to make more sense. Hell, it would also call into question if the person she saw in the photo was her or her twin which would have created even more tension during the fashion show reveal.
Another MAJOR issue. She doesn’t save herself in the end.
What happened to the Aurelia from the end of Willows series who comes back from the dead all powerful. You had the spell of resurrection that she finds in the second book. She tries to use it to save her friend but thinks she failed. Even her brother mentions it and is willing to put it on her necklace to allow her to die and return, but instead you give all the credit of her resurrection to Arthur, a character that is not even involved in her story other then in her memory for a moment while she was in her cell. She wasn’t actively involved in her own redemption. She passively watched as everything was done for her and to her. This would have been a perfect moment for her to finally find her own strength by remembering the spell and using her own fae magic to prove to not only herself but everyone else that she is worthy. Arthur can still be involved by taking away her pain but that’s it. Not once is the spell mentioned other than that one time when her brother mentions from before she leaves her brothers kingdom to when she gets arrested. We are never told if they were able to put the spell on her necklace or even if she still has it on. We’re not even told before she makes her grand “I’m alive” reveal. Instead she passively waits for her cue to appear, repeatedly internally thanking Arthur for saving her and then isn’t even honest with Willow that yea, she died but it’s ok. None of her suffering is truly redeemed by the end. Willow still doesn’t know that she actually died, that she was whipped and humiliated, that someone she cares for died to protect her because she wanted to protect Willow. The Coven isn’t dealt with, and the world still thinks she’s tried to kill Willows dad. It’s because of all of these factors that make her redemption feel shallow.
Also what is with this forgiveness for her mom thing? Her mom (The Vile Queen) didn’t just murder people. She got off on the pain she inflicted. Her victims would be stuck burning for years at a time never allowed to die while she enjoyed feeling and feeding on their fear and pain. She constantly raped and assaulted her captives, forcing them to pleasure her after she got horny from her horrible kills. Why are we trying to make her seem redeemable? If this were a dude no one would be feeling forgiving.
The book was soo good. Action, love, suspense, mysteries unraveled. I was happy about the occurrence’s in book 3 but I was also honestly upset. I get the redemption aspect but I’m sorry I just felt like Aurelia forgave Willow too quick for doubting her and treating her friendship that way. And even the last few chapters gave too much time on Willow and her mates feelings abt certain things like who liked Aurelia and who didn’t. And Aurelia’s twin ending up with Willow. Even though they didn’t work out initially that was just another dagger to Aurelia and she is just supposed to be happy with her little northern kingdom and 5 mates while Willow got her seat, the loving parent, her twin, 9/10mates and everything else. I just don’t like it. I am so tired of Aurelia coming in second best when honestly she went through more than Willow imo. She literally spent her entire human life being shafted, played, left, manipulated, hurt and traumatized while also always being labeled the bad guy. No I’m not for her being besties with Willow and I also want more for her in the next book. This one didn’t serve justice imo.
This is one of the first series I read by avery that made me fall in love with her writing and her creations. She brings you all of it plus some! The emotions you feel through her stories make you feel so connected to the characters! I love Aurelia and her pack of misfits from the very beginning of the series. Avery has always created her characters with relatable aspects and in my opinion very inspiring because you go from being shattered to rebuilding a foundation no one can break down again and learn to self love and I can honestly say that I've been there and still going through some things and avery stories always make me feel better! This series will take you on a wild rollercoaster ride. The twist and turns, the secrets the come out of the dark and put the pieces together, the love and that heat! Man you'll need to cool off some how because man it is hott! I loved reading every min of this series and thank you Avery for all your hard work and bringing us such amazing stories to escape to! To get lost in a whole other world! I can't wait to continue reading more of your pure epicness creations! I highly recommend this series! You won't be disappointed! Happy reading! ❤️
What did I just read????!!!!! I truly can’t believe the amount of feelings that I went through with the last book of this story arc!
Aurelia’s pain and all the betrayal that she has suffered looks insurmountable from the outside perspective. But Aurelia’s fortunate in the men that she has been blessed with and the path the fate has set before her…if only she can live long enough to experience it.
Once again I laughed and I ugly cried with this book, I was heartbroken at the betrayal that Aurelia is faced with from all sides and the one person she thought she could always count on has left her side.
Join Aurelia’s journey as we race against the clock to save Aurelia and her pack, this is definitely a book/series you can’t afford to miss! Buy a bottle of wine, a huge box of Kleenex and order pizza for the kids! You’re not going to want to put this book down.
So three books…. to get through the boring, whiny nonsense that was the FMC was bad enough, three books, and then the bad guys just walk off like another day in the life. The coven thing was juiced up repeatedly, all of them apparently bad guys. And then nothing happens to them, they should have all be wiped from existence. Nothing happened to Lucy, she didn’t get what was coming to her at all. Honestly, 3 damn books and it’s legitimately painful to end say I even read this BS. Auralia doesn’t get the big ass reveal that she should. There should be a “look who you messed with! I am the ultimate powerhouse!” Moment, especially after all the crappy nonsense and the author hinting around and putting it out there constantly as a threat of “don’t do this because you’ll regret it!” “Ask yourself why they’re afraid of you?!” When in it gets to where that’s supposed to be, nope, nada!
Aurelia’s Pack of Misfits get their fitting conclusion!!! WOWZA what a jam packed book. We get a double dose too as we're gifted with the equally awesome Willow 😉✨. Get ready for all kinds of revelations, surprises, shady business, kick a$$ery , possessive alpha males, hidden memories, family reunions and oh soooooo much more. I've loved Aurelia from the moment we first met her, and am blown away by her growth by the end of this gem. The snark factor is real and will have you chuckling in between the action scenes. Oh how I love this series and these characters- here's hoping we see them again ❤. A truly addicting series that I HIGHLY recommend!!!
Wow- what an amazing ending. I was on the edge of my seat during the entire book, i was so sucked in I kept thinking about the book and characters all the time. Aurelia is one of my favorites in this story"universe" so for her to be put through so many intense struggles to find her happy was heartbreaking. I devoured this in every spare minute i had this holiday season(10 minutes here and there between cooking, cleaning, decorating, setting dining tables, driving to and from family, the 15miutes of getting ready for bed, the 5 minutes before i passed out for the night.. The list goes on so it took me days!) But this one was worth every bit of effort, i truly enjoyed it an highly recommend this series and Willow's story!
Aurelia is probably one of my favorite characters in all the series I have read. This book left me with a lot of mixed feelings though. I did have my spectrum of emotions, some parts had me tearing up while others had me laughing. I did not expect the feeling of unsatisfied with how some of the things that happened to Aurelia played out. I still feel like she is in the shadow of Willow. In the end I felt like I was left at the edge of it all. Like getting to the top of the roller coaster before the drop and the conductor telling you the ride is over. Thankfully I see there will be another series on Aurelia and her pack. I have complete faith that I will get the answers I am looking for in that one. Overall it is a good book and I look forward to it continuing on.
What happens when our Pack of Misfits are accused of murder and the Vile Queen is finally unmasked as a very surprising person?!? What will they do when Willow's Forbidden pack thinks them the enemy??? The Coven is getting closer to what they want... Aureila alone and out of the way. Her men are stuck in Faerie and cannot help her. Everyone else thinks she's jealous of Willow getting the High Council Chair. So who does she turn to?? Gotta read it to find out!!!😘 Big Secrets are Revealed in this Epic Conclusion!!! Don't miss out!!!❤😍❤ What an Amazing ending to one story and the perfect beginning to another!!❤❤❤
This was a great ending to this series. The author sure knows how to write an ending but still leave a bit of a cliffhanger so your left wanting more and have more questions to be answered. Aurelia and her Misfit Pack get some answers and some intel right at the beginning which kind of is a spoiler because avid fans of this series and Willow's Forbidden Pack, can tell how the book is going to play out to a point, but there is still some twists and turns the author throws in to keep you tied up in knots.
I loved how Aurelia never gave up on being reunited with her men even when everything else was in such chaos. I liked the addition of Zayhir and their interactions. I want to know what happened to Lucy and the rest of the coven. Even though Aurelia is not part of the coven anymore, I want to see their punishment because it feels that besides Elder Etna everyone else got off easy. I can't wait for Aurelia's and Willow's future adventures.
Wolf Redemption is the exciting and thrilling conclusion to Aurelia’s Pack of Misfits! I really loved this book and loved Aurelia’s story. This book was filled with action, revelations and twists and turns. We also get to see more of Willow! If you have been following this series then you will definitely love this conclusion!
This is a great wrap-up to Aurelia's story. The Pack of Misfits battle together to save the world even when they have to become villians themselves. The secrets and lies and manipulation are unbelievable but lead to the rise of the phoenix. The love this pack has for each other is clearly seen, and it blends well with Willow's story. Amazing read!
Wolf Redemption is the perfect, fitting conclusion to Aurelia's story. I have loved getting to read Aurelia's side of her friendship with Willow as well as what all she has went through in her own journey. I hope Avery continues Aurelia's story even though this part of her journey is over with because I have a feeling she has more to tell.
This entire series has been truly extraordinary. The Dark Twist-The Rejection-The Overcoming pain and learning self love. And the ABSOLUTE STEAM these men have I needed to be thrown in a ice cold pool to cool off🤣🤣😍😍😍. I cannot tell you enough that the ending you didn’t see it coming and the twist and turns and up and down ahhhhh. 1000000 stars
I love the way we can see both sides of the story from the 2 perspectives. It makes it both thrilling and satisfying to read. I'm a huge fan of this series, and if you love wolves, witches and the fae, I'm sure you will too. I'm so excited for season 2, now if only they can make it into a tv show...?
I have loved Aurelia's story and her journey with her cards (men). I love that we get a conclusion to this set and am thrilled to find out that we will get more of her in her second season. I always hate to say goodbye to my favorite characters and am thrilled that it won't be a complete goodbye. This book was amazing.
Although most of the ending was from the end of Willow's series, it was a good reminder. I loved how Aurelia's story finally had its HEA! I'm hoping there's going to be more from both ladies The spelling errors or word misplacement were a bit irritating, but it was a fantastic story
I love seeing more of Aurelia and learning more about her part in the world we have come to love. I love her men and what they do for each other. This book will have you hooked and give more clearity to the happenings going on.
Great story. I have loved this series and characters since the first book. I can’t believe it’s coming to an end. I can’t wait to see what new series we see from Avery Song. She has such a great imagination.
I absolutely loved this last book of Aurelia's!! Her story of struggles, betrayal, abuse, and the fight for redemption is amazing! I can't wait for the next book to come out! This one kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! That ending!!
Omg finally seeing the story from Aurelia’s perspective was great. The love support and fighter in each of these characters never seis to amaze and awe me. Great story where you can empathize the pains, suffering, joys and triumphs. Recommend 💯
This was everything it was supposed to be! I’m so damn excited that o was able to get answers and understanding that was missing in Willow’s book! I’m so excited that she’s stepped into her “main character” role now!!
Aurelia finally gets the redemption she deserves. I loved seeing what happened behind the scenes to get us to the end! This series allows you to see her as more than just a side character in Willows story.
I absolutely loved reading Aurelias story with her sexy as sin misfit pack!!! She came back stronger than ever and has her mates best friend and mates by her side. I can't wait fir the next book to learn all about her wolves in faerie!! A must read!!
Three cheers for Aurelia’s pack of Misfits. To overcome so much and still show love to others. I love that this book highlights that the things that happen to us do not define who we are.
The ending to Aurelias misfit pack was epic! Granted there were hints to who the vile queen was. Avary stone is an amazing author. Tbh edting needs to be worked on but man love all of her works.
This book brings a section of a serie to an end answering some of the questions that was left from a different series while bringing the story to an end. Yet it also starts the begining of two new areas of those series with a cliffhanger.
This book is all kinds of crazy and I love it all. I enjoyed the characters and their situations. The rise, fall, and rise again is amazing. I would read this again.
This is the type of book series that’s hard to put down. It sucks you in and you just have to know what happens next. An easy book to get lost in and I can’t wait for the next series!
