Tonight is Babette Lang’s bachelorette party. Problem is, there’s no bachelorette, only an unusual group of disgruntled guests—a wannabe hand-model bartender, a chain-smoking talent agent, the bride-to-be’s cheapskate boss, plus the sloshed fiancé and his furious sisters.
It’s not a party until there’s a body!
When one of the guests drops dead, four women with a tendency for trouble join forces to catch a killer.
Valentine Beaumont ~ Boston sleuth and gutsy beautician Kate Connolly ~ San Francisco part-time crime-solver and sleep-deprived new mom Merry Wrath ~ Iowa ex-CIA operative turned Girl Scout leader Franki Amato ~ New Orleans PI and victim of a serial-matchmaking Sicilian nonna
Will these sleuths untangle this double mystery and save the party? Or is it already too late?
**This murder mystery series contains no profanity or graphic descriptions of sex or violence.**

Put four cozy sleuths together and what have you got? A rip-roaring adventure that you won't put down until you're finished!
Franki Amato, Valentine Beaumont, Kate Connolly and Merry Wrath find themselves at the worst bachelorette party EVER when an ex-girlfriend of the groom is murdered, the missing bride-to-be is handing out hot dog samples at Niagra Falls, the bartender is a hand model who won't use his hands, an heirloom bracelet that "grew" legs is missing, an entertainment agent who can't keep her false teeth in her mouth, sisters of the groom who hate everyone, FBI agents who - well, you'll have to read about the rest!
This book was wonderful! The plot flowed smoothly and everything fell into place perfectly. I laughed so hard and tried to figure out "whodunit" but was wrong! Well, I have another chance with book 2 which takes place in. ...New Orleans!!
4 Sleuths and A Bachelorette is the first book of the series. It’s about four women who attend a bridal shower and a murder occurs. Not knowing each other, the only common ground was the bachelorette. They soon become friends and, each having their own sleuthing skills, join forces to solve this murder. Was it the fiancé? The jealous ex-girlfriend or the fiancé sisters? Join the ladies as they gather evidence.
The story contained a great combination of murder, mystery, suspense and humor. I found the mystery engaging and there were plenty of hilarious moments. It was filled with the quirky but authentic relationships that make this adventure enjoyable. Throw in the twists and turns of the mystery and you have a great read. I look forward to more in the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Two of my favorite authors (Traci Andrighetti & Leslie Langtry) along with two new to me authors (I will be reading more) have teamed up their famous characters in one fantastic book. The four characters come together for a mutual acquaintances bachelorette party/girls weekend & end up with a weekend they will never forget. Lots of twists to this one, I didn't figure it out until they were ready to reveal it. I look forward to more books with the 4 sleuths!
This book was such a nice surprise! Four authors came together to write a story, each using a main character from one of their series. I was familiar with two of them, and quickly got to know the other two. This book is absolutely HILARIOUS! Even if you are not familiar with the characters, no worries because it's written so well it will take no time to get to know them. A bachelorette party gone wrong, a murder victim, a drunken groom, and a missing bride! These four sleuths attending the party must figure out what happened to the bride, and who murdered the victim. Oh, and they never met before this kooky party! Clever, witty, and hard to put down.
Babbette's bachelorette party is basically tossed together by using some of her friends. It is very unorganized and has a huge assortment of odd characters including the groom to be. This is where Valentine, Merry, Frankie and Kate meet for the first time. But when it becomes a missing person and then a murder, the girls all join up to solve it. There are some LOL moments in this story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
What a fun adventure! Four ladies come together at a bachelorette party for a friend. None of them know each other, but they become friends after a party crasher drops dead at their feet and the bachelorette goes missing. There are enough suspects to go around, and the ladies have their work cut out for them. So much fun!
When the sleuths from 4 different series get together for a bachelorette party you know that chaos will soon ensue. Merry Wrath, Franki Amato, Valentine Beaumont and Kate Connelly gather in Niagara Falls to celebrate the upcoming marriage of their mutual friend, Babette. The entire setup of the party is a little strange, the groom’s sisters hate Babette, and the rest of the guests are quirky, to say the least. AND Babette also seems to be missing! The groom’s ex-fiancée (whom is still is having something going on with the groom) is found murdered. The four sleuths band together to find the murderer and Babette and hilarity ensues.
Four seasoned Detectives crash together to solve a mystery
This series is like no other! It is a fantastic concept supported by extremely talented writers. There are four well developed characters, each with their own story lines, book collections and authors. This gives them each a unique depth in their character, right down to the way they word things. It is truly a story that is developed through four different perspectives, personalities and history. You can read each authors book series about their crime fighter and pick up another addition of 4 sleuths when you’re ready for another reunion.
I only read one of series that the 4 sleuths starred in Merry Wrath series which I lovr. But this book each chapter is written by different author from her character s perspective. It was funny some funny parts really great who dun it. Lots of red herrings twist to who the attend victim was plus so many motives . I will be checking out books of the other characters series .
I'm a big fan of reading books in order, so when I started a Merry Wrath book that mentioned a bachelorette party, I know I missed something and the hint was on. What I found was this delightful crossover series! Such a fun way to combine these authors heroines! I now have 3 more series to start in on! But I think I will continue on with this fun series first! I highly recommend it! Especially if you already read one of the authors!
The problem with reading these crossover collaborations is that you may only like one of the authors, not all of them. I only made it halfway through this one before I decided I'd just read the Merry Wrath chapters and skim the rest. I know this book was meant to introduce me to the other authors' series, but from the preview provided here, I'm fairly sure I won't be reading any of their works since not every series is for every reader.
I love all these authors individually and was a bit worried and skeptical about how this new book would read. Well I should not have worried. There were some parts that seemed to hiccup in the flow but overall a great read and looking forward to reading about the Foursome in their next adventure.
I enjoyed the book but I did find the story didn't flow that well, I'm putting that down to the fact it was written by 4 authors. I had to keep checking which character I was reading about.
Such a fun approach to a book. Different authors, ddifferent characters all solving the same mystery. I really enjoyed the different voices and viewpoints expressed. The story wandered away from believable toward the end, but I was hooked so I wandered off with it.
I appreciated the totally different type of story telling!
I enjoyed how the four women started as strangers, pooled their strengths and solved a murder! If you like any one of the authors you will like this book.
What a happy surprise to find out that four of my favorite absolutely hysterical sleuths were getting together. I hope this means there will be sequels!
Oh wow!! What a great way to be introduced to four great characters (and of course there talented authors) or like me if you are already a big fan of the characters and you know them well then what a great way to spend a few hours laughing. Each chapter starts with the name of the character that is the main focus of that chapter and as each character is very different it never gets confusing. The mystery was good and flowed along nicely, you would never know it was written by four different authors. Each character was involved in solving the mystery as well as having some sort of home life drama, which worked well giving you a taster of what each series the character is featured in. It was definitely the characters that really worked in this book and I can't think of four better authors to join together. Really looking forward to the next book and I can't wait. When Babette gets engaged, a surprise party is planned for her and four of her best friends are invited. Franki a private investigator travels from New Orleans to play bar tender, a very Pregnant Kate leaves her young family behind to organise the party food, Valentine drops her curling tongs for decorations and Merry an ex CIA agent is in charge of the guest list. What could go wrong? First Valentine's luggage doesn't make the trip and she is scrambling to find decorations, the hotel is run down and creepy, the groom is drunk, his sisters are acting weird and very hostel, his ex girlfriend crashes the party, then the bachelorette doesn't turn up to her own party and lastly one of the guests drops dead. Can four strangers become friends and find there missing friend? As well as solve the murder? Even if the clues start to point to there friend and the reason there are altogether? I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
4 Sleuths & A Bachelorette (A Killer Foursome Mystery Book 1)
This book is written by four different authors, and it has the sleuth of their series starring in this book, and boy did it work. I wasn't sure how, but I was so impressed. Each chapter told you who's viewpoint you were reading. Babette is getting married and each of these ladies has been assigned something to do for the bachelorette party. One has to send invitations, and she barely knows the bachelorette and knows no one on the list. Another is in charge of the cake and decorations. They all meet at the party, but the guest of honor is missing. These girls become quick friends as most of the others at this party are a little unusual. Next thing you know, there is a dead body, the bachelorette is still missing, the FBI shows up. The ladies band together to figure out who did it before the police or FBI can. This book made me laugh so many times. I loved learning about new to me sleuths and authors. I have some books I need to read to learn more, but mostly I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series to see where and what these ladies will get up to next. If you like mysteries and are in need of a laugh, then I highly recommend this book, it is exactly what you are looking for.
Babette is getting married! Four women, all with histories of solving murders, head to Buffalo to host Babette’s bachelor party. Valentine, Merry, Frankie and Kate do not know one another, but soon band together to solve the mystery of who killed one of the party guests. This book, featuring characters from four humorous cozies, is a delightful blend of quirkiness and riotous fun with an outlandish cast of characters to entertain us. I have to admit to having read only one of these authors, Arlene McFarlane, and was not acquainted with the other three sleuths/series. But these writers sure know how to put together an entertaining tale! The structure of the book is intricate and really quite impressive. Many scenes are laugh-out-loud funny. My favorite is with Babette, dressed in a large foam hotdog costume, trying to get a closer look at the Bridal Veil Falls at Niagara (while missing her party). She somehow manages to get down the wet stairs to a viewing platform only to be attacked by a child. Her taxi ride from the police station (after being accused of being a mad bomber) is slapstick fun! This is the first of a series we will all want to read. Fun and unforgettable. Especially the scenes where the talent agent removes her teeth to eat . . .
