Rate this book
In September 1944, World War II raged on in France. An American soldier entered a Red Cross Club. He was attracted to a French girl serving coffee. When the club closed he waited outside and chased the girl, caught and kissed her before speaking a word. Thus began a love story. Three years after the war had ended he went back to Europe to try to find that girl while working in Paris. After twenty-five years he could finally speak of his experiences including his last hour in combat when, scouting alone in the woods, he found himself facing a German tank. The story also covers extensive travel from Maine to Hollywood and his 3 years living the life Parisian, plus Europe.
