Under the Radar is book four in the Reynolds Restoration series by Melanie Moreland. It is so wonderful to be back with this gang. It see my Charly and Maxx again. This is Chase and Hannah’s book. You might remember them meeting in the previous book, an adorable meet cute I might add. Now, Chase is looking for a new roommate. And just take a wild guess at who the new applicant is?!

Chase Donner is thirty years old. This wonderful man has a past he wished he didn’t. A father who left his two sons to raise themselves and an older brother that was a criminal. But, I think it’s his past that made Chase the man he is today! As a teenager, Chase looked up to his brother and followed him into some troubling situations. Because of it, he did some prison time. Now, Chase is trying to live a better life, a good life. He works for Reynolds Restorations and his boss and co-workers have become his family. Charly has become his mother/sister/best friend and confidante. I want to add here that at times, the relationship between Charly and Chase made my eyes watery.

Hannah Gallagher is twenty eight years old. She is a police officer and has moved to town from Toronto, wanting a smaller town life. Hannah and Chase shared a connection from their first meeting. Both had hoped that they would meet again. And when Hannah saw the flyer Chase had pinned up for a roommate, she knew she had to take the chance.

Sometimes, two people are just meant to be together. You just know it from the start. I felt it as a reader and I think Hannah and Chase knew it too. I love the way that Chase just took his time, though. Proved to Hannah the man he was. And showed her his life, let her get to know his friends. What they were beginning to share was beautiful. But not everyone thought so. Chase’s past is still haunting him and it still has the power to ruin everything he has worked for.

This is definitely a feel good romance that will warm your heart. I have to add here that I fell madly in love with a side character. Chase’s co-worker, Dom. He’s my favorite kind of character, the good guy but still with those rough around the edges, bad boy vibes. I adored that guy! Now I need to know how his story turns out. Fingers crossed that we’ll see more of him at some point!!

This book has done an exceptional job of blending the three C’s - cheese, cringe and creepiness - into an emetic cocktail strong enough to help anyone purge their stomach contents.

Mostly this book was a sugary sweet, low angst, small town read. It’s Moreland’s usual fare of men being manly and women baking and cooking; but there were some pretty creepy things going on in the beginning that the author was obviously trying to pass off as ‘sweet’ or ‘protective’ but made me feel really uncomfortable.

1. He’s her roommate and keeps sneaking into her bedroom to stroke her hair while she sleeps.
I don’t care if she’s having a nightmare. You can knock on her door and wake her up, you don’t go into her personal space and touch her while she’s sleeping. This happens multiple times… multiple…

2. She’s passed out drunk and he strips her down and puts her in her pyjamas…. Still while only being her roommate.

3. 🤢 he then gets a washcloth and bathes her face…this is giving Buffalo Bill < serial killer in the silence of the lambs> energy.

No dude, no! 🗞️

Ms. Moreland explain yourself, ma’am. This is not romantic, this is a 🚩.

Once they got together the creepy behaviour ceased but it still left me mildly grossed out. The rest of this book was them being together, having unprotected sex, hanging out with visits from previous characters in the series. It was insta-love and home renovation with an overly earnest hero and a domestic damsel in distress - even though she was a cop, he consulted his buddies for assistance with the villain and mostly left her out of it 🤦🏼‍♀️.

A few other critiques of this author and I will officially move Moreland to my ‘authors to avoid’ list.

1. The dialogue here and in every book she’s written is extremely robotic. Please learn to use contractions when characters are speaking. It flows much better and feels more natural.

2. Moreland really loves traditional gender roles so I was very curious to see how she would write a female police officer

3. Moreland always finds the cringiest and cheesiest way of describing things. The gushy, lovey dovey stuff is just too sappy for me.

So I think this series is finished and I can happily never read this author again. ✌🏻

I need to take a break from reading a serious and heavy books. Under the Radar is the perfect fix. I like the story of Chase and Hannah. They both so sweet. Miss Moreland done a great job creating a plot that is easy and minimum of drama.

Great book.

So great to be back with one of my favorite found families.

Reynolds Restoration is a series that absolutely won my heart a few years back and I was so happy to see the announcement of book 4, this time focusing on a reformed bad boy and ex-con, Chase.

He is getting his chance at love when he needs to find a new roommate and none other than Officer Cinnamon, or Hannah, as her given name, needs a place to live too. And thus begins the sweetest build towards a relationship ever. Truly, these two were so kind, loving and cute together. It was an overload.

The little downside for me was the inclusion of Officer D*ckface.... I just don't think we needed to have his part in this.. only to see how it ended with a bit of a fizzle.

Doesn't dim my enjoyment and I can't wait for the next couple very soon.

Y’all…..Melanie just continues to ‘one up’ herself with every book she writes! I would say this is my favorite in this series but honestly I can’t pick a favorite!!

Chase is a man so broken down by life. He has had a rough life and paid for it in many ways. He feels he isn’t deserving of love or forgiveness, until the one person who haunts his past offers him just that. Family….that is what he found when Charly took him in. As he rebuilt his life, his past was never far away. One drunken night, destiny shows up in the form of ‘Occifer Cinnamon’.

Hannah….aka ‘Occifer Cinnamon’, has had a good life. One night, one call, one horrific situation changed the trajectory of her life. Trying to move on in a new place, fate intervened when she tried to help one slightly inebriated, totally intoxicating man named Chase.

Two hurt and lost souls who see the other as their future. But just because Hannah and Chase deserve a happy ending doesn’t mean everyone agrees. Can they let go of the past and hang on to each other?

This book was so emotional and I absolutely loved it!

This is most definitely the most awaited story of the Reynold’s Restoration series. When Chase put out a roommate wanted advertisement he wasn’t expecting his Occifer Cinnamon to show up on his doorstep. Hannah saw past on who Chase used to be. He’s turn his life around and however there are some who won’t let him forget all that he did. Though it wasn’t as much as his brother had done. Chase and Hannah become roommates as well as friends. Then to something more. They are who they need. They bring calmness as well as happiness to each other.

I love this story so much!! The whole series has been full of happiness & tears, drama & laughter, and HEAs full of sunshine and rainbows!!
I've been so excited about Chase's story. Hannah, or as he calls her, Officer Cinnamon, is perfect for him. He's a cinnamon roll himself...and they're both crushing but too nervous to admit it because they don't think the other feels the same. It's just all kinds of sugary goodness!!
If you haven't started the series yet, you really should. Smalltown, found family, romcom perfection, with a few other tropes thrown in to give it that extra special twist. You're gonna love it!

How is it that this manages to feel fast and slow burning all at once? Chase has had it for Hannah for a while, and when she shows to possibly become his roommate, he’s 100% gone for her. So much so that he does things he swore he never would. He uses money he didn’t want to try to build the foundation of forever for Hannah, but when it seems like maybe she doesn’t feel the same way, he clams up instead of communicating. It’s a good thing he’s got Charly and Dom both able to talk him through the hurt to figure out his way toward actually talking to the woman he wants more than anything. And boy, do they manage to communicate when they put their minds to it.

Hannah has some past hurts and very present concerns, but none are about Chase. Her only concern is that maybe he doesn’t like her as she thought. But again, communication is their friend. And when the present concern becomes a little more worrisome, communication is absolutely necessary to figure things out. It’s a good thing Chase isn’t a guy who makes the same mistake twice, because his brain and those of his family help to make this all right in the end. And Hannah makes his life so much more perfect than he ever imagined.

So yeah. Slow burn but definite feelings on both sides before they finally ignite. And the pages melt by, making you hope for something good to come Dom’s way…maybe via a certain mother he’s clearly interested in? We shall see.

Four and a half stars

UNDER THE RADAR by Melanie Moreland is the fourth in her Reynolds Restoration series. Ms Moreland continues to lean into the themes of found family and redemption and the healing work love does in people’s lives and hearts.

Chase Donner has spent much of his life fighting, and is now fighting the reputation that dogs him of being a troublemaker, a criminal. While he’s truly a changed person from the young man easily influenced by his love for his older brother, there are some who can’t see past some bad choices he’d made.

Hannah Gallagher catches his eye the first time he sees her, intoxicated, and then intoxicated with “Occifer Cinnamon”.

When they end up in a roommate situation, that is all they need to start building a friendship and relationship that becomes everything they could have imagined.

Melanie Moreland’s story is sweet and hot and swoony, and Chase and Hannah’s steadily growing connection is a thing of beauty. A gem of a story in this lovely series.

This is the 4th book of the Melanie's Reynolds Restorations series.
This book is about Chase and Hanna, we have met them in previous books and finally we are able to read about their love story.
I'm in love with Chase, he is so sweet and cute,, you can't dislike him. She is also lovely and and their chemistry can be felt since the beginning.
They relationship goes on so naturally and they are both very sweet. I love that there are no big dramas, no fights between them, they support each other and they are perfect.
The book is easy to read and makes you laugh, cry, feel sad, happy.. everything! but when you finish it you have a big smile on your face.
I totally recommend this book!

Maxx's garage is my happy place. I love the Reynolds Restorations series so much and every book gets better and better.

Watching Chase and Hannah fall in love was just beautiful. Their journey from roommates to lovers was full of the most delicious pining and I cheered for them the entire way. Every story extends this wonderful found family, and each book is not only a great romance but a reminder as to how when you find your people, however long it takes you or how difficult it is, you come into the life you were meant for.

Chase and Hannah are going to steal your heart, make you totally sappy and leave you swooning. This incredible read is chock full of heart melting romance, heartstring tugging drama and a bountiful harvest of major feels. This book will definitely brighten your day and lighten your heart with the wonderful combination of sweetness, humor, steam, heart and cuteness that flows like rich honey. It is so sinfully smooth that it pulls you in before you know it and you'll blink, look up and realize time has passed without you even realizing it. This is my freely posted, frank review.

If you've read this series from book 1 then you already know how far Chase has come from his troubled life. He's doing good, has a steady job, and is loved by all his friends. One thing is missing and that's Hannah aka officer Cinnamon. When she shows up at his doorstep to be his roommate, he knows this is his chance to make her fall for him. Little does he know that no convincing will be necessary. She found him cute and wanted to see where the relationship would take them. But someone is not happy with their relationship and is going over and beyond to break them up. But they've finally found each other and are not willing to let go no matter what.

I loved these two. And don't get me started on the whole crew that had their back. I really hope her mama gets a story because I really liked Dom and her together.

Chase and Occifer Cinnamon, what a meet cute!! I love the way these two met and how they didn’t know they were crushing on each other. I was so glad Hannah saw the good in Chase and loved him for the man he was presently and did not hold his past against him.

Hannah made all the difference for Chase. He was so taken by her and in love, it made him a better man. The right person can do that. Chase was just as good for Hannah.

I absolutely love the way Melanie Moreland creates a series with found families. Misfits of sorts that just make sense together and are very protective of each other. You don’t have to start with Revved to the Max, but I recommend it.

Adorable and delightful romance
5 stars

I always look forward to a new book from Melanie Moreland but I have to admit to having a special excitement to hear that Chase was getting his own story. Chase first appeared in the first book in this series, Revved to the Maxx, and he basically grew up through the subsequent books in the series. Starting off as a tearaway kid to scared and alone youth - if anyone was deserving of a happily ever after, it’s Chase. But don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books in the series as everything is explained and this story stands alone with its own HEA.

Chase is first introduced to “Occifer Cinnamon” aka Hannah Gallagher, after a rare bender leaves him drunk and stranded, only to be found by the pretty local cop. That starts a mutual attraction which only intensifies when Hannah becomes Chase’s new roommate.

The chemistry between our pair - along side their attraction - is instantaneous. And it only gets better as a misunderstanding occurs. It’s not that I want the characters in my romance books to suffer - but I have to admit that it makes the yearning and pining all the more delicious. Which in turn makes the payoff even more explosive, and even more wonderful. It’s Melanie Moreland, so of course there’s sex (and it’s go-od) but it’s layered with feelings that make it a bit more special.

I didn’t have far to go before I fell fully in love with Chase. He definitely has a past but he turned himself into a good man - one that was so in need of love. In some ways, Chase was still the broken young man feeling apart from anyone around him. Gah - I was just so happy that he was getting his happily ever after.

I was a little worried that I wouldn’t take to Hannah, if I’m honest. She’s a cop - which means to me that she’s a strong, confident woman that I wasn’t sure I’d have much in common way. And while in those respects, that’s true, she was so much more than just that. She had layers and vulnerabilities and baggage that made her so relatable and so damn likeable. But not only that, she was the perfect partner for Chase.

There’s a little bit of drama that adds excitement and interest to the story. It was a great storyline to mix Chase and Hannah’s stories and bring them together. But I can still confidently say there is zero angst in this story. It’s just a good time all round.

If you have read the earlier Reynold’s Restoration stories, you’ll be delighted to see the return of most of the characters from the previous books - but especially Charly and Maxx. Again, no problems if you haven’t read their stories as in that case they’ll just be a colourful bunch of secondary characters. We also get a little side story of Hannah’s mum and Chase’s older friend, Dom. That was a cute little diversion - and so funny - but we didn’t really hear the end of their tale. I wonder if we’ll get more of them in a future story.

Melanie Moreland has this way of writing the kind of life I want to live. As well as the swoon worthy romance, she blends in roots, family, belonging, friendship and acceptance. Basically, she writes a good ol’ hug and the dream of the best kind of life. Her writing is exemplary and within the first second of reading, I forget that I’m doing so and am already knee deep in the story and the character’s lives. This was just an adorable, delightful romance and so worthy of the full 5 stars.

***4.5 stars!***

This was another amazing read in this series. Ms. Moreland gave Chase a wonderful story with a second chance - at life and at finding love. After reading the previous books, I couldn’t wait to get his story.

Hannah is a cop and Chase is an ex-con. He’s sweet and a bit reserved, not all gruff and growly. And I was totally okay with that. He’s a huge sweetheart who will do anything for the people he loves. He’s also a bit vulnerable and timid, no doubt because of how he feels about his past actions and behavior…very regretful and full of remorse. Melanie did a great job at showing that. I wanted to give him a big ol’ hug numerous times.

Hannah and Chase were perfect for each other. When they were together, I could feel their love, their devotion. There wasn’t any unnecessary drama or angst. They were honest with one another, they lifted each other up when they were feeling down. Hannah helped Chase feel worthy and Chase made Hannah feel safe, always there for her and being very supportive. I loved seeing their confidence grow and their love get stronger as time went on.

The found family is one of my favorite things about this series. I always love seeing previous characters show up in other books. The way everyone is there for each other. The way they have each other’s back. All the love and affection and understanding and loyalty. Ms. Moreland does ‘found family’ very well. Brings out the feel-good feels.

If you’ve read the other books in this series, I highly recommend you read this one too.

And I must mention how excited I am about Dom’s story. He is so bossy and determined and a little bit (or maybe a lot) of a bad boy and I can’t wait to see him get the girl.

Under the Radar is such a wholesome read. Moreland delivers a romance about redemption and new beginnings in the fourth book of the Reynolds Restoration Series.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet Chase Donner, who has done his best to clean up his family’s image in town. But no matter how much money he gives away to the community, the Donner name still has a bad reputation. After making amends to those his family hurt, Chase unexpectedly finds a new family and friends in the process that accept him no matter what. He was given a second chance to make things right, though he wasn’t expecting for love to come knocking at his door. It seems that his ad for a new roommate has been seen by the one person he didn’t expect to see again, Office Gallagher. The one person he can’t seem to stop thinking about and now that she is his new roommate, he is set on making her his once and for all. But Chase fears of what Hannah is going to think when she finds out about his past.

When Hannah Gallagher finds out that Chase is looking for a roommate, she recalls how they met and how he adorably kept calling her Officer Cinnamon. She answers his ad by showing up at his house and to see his priceless expression when Chase finds out that she wants want to be his roommate. It’s evident from the very beginning that there are sparks between them that keep pulling them together. Being in close proximity gives them a chance to get to know each other and they start to grow closer. As an officer, Hannah is aware of Chase’s past, but she has one of her own as well. A past that comes to test her once again and a new obstacle that could end up destroying their potential future together.

I absolutely loved Under the Radar, it was sweet and steamy. There is so much that the characters can relate to and that makes it easer for them to lean on each other. Although they have lost loved ones, there is still a sense of family when it comes to the rest of his friends. They have become so much more to Chase and have embraced Hannah just as much. In the end, they have to face their pasts in order to truly have a chance at a happily-ever-after. All in all, I would highly recommend checking out this book as well as any others from the author, you won’t regret it! :)

This is a sweet love story. Chase is an ex-convict who people keep looking down on. Hannah is having doubts about her job as a policewoman after a traumatic experience. They move in together, and in the process of creating a house, they create a home.

I liked that the author kept adding new twists until the end. The writing is conversational, and before I knew it, I was 80% through.

Some highlights were two forty-year-olds getting a second chance at love, a jaded lover, supportive friends, and Chase truly supporting Hannah in whatever she did, even though it was scary at times.

If you liked Reminders Of Him by Colleen Hoover, think of this as a book with the roles reversed.

I received an e-ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Under the Radar, by Melanie Moreland (Reynolds Restoration, book 4)

I have been dying for Chase and Occifer Cinnamon since Bret & Kelly’s book (Shifting Gears). Chase was so sad and Officer Gallagher was the light in his darkness. When Under the Radar hit my kindle I squealed and their story didn’t disappoint in the least.

My heart melted for Chase. He has been through so much in the past, guilt weighs him down and everyday he tries to be a better man. He is a sensitive man and everyday he weathers the guilt from his choices that he made with his brother. I admire how he follows his moral compass and pays the ultimate price for losing any relationships with his family. He is a hero who wears his heart on his sleeve and I am here for it.

Hannah Gallagher aka Occifer Cinnamon is just the sunshine that Chase needed. I love that she is a decisive heroine. She is a make it happen kind of girl and it’s refreshing. She has her times she hesitates but being an officer of the law she makes her decision wisely. The rollercoaster ride these two go through is unreal. There is always that one person that has to throw a wrench into everything and this story has him. Officer Dan (OD, I almost peed my pants at this nickname) is such a tool bag and I truly despise people who are like that. I have never cheered so hard when he got what was coming to him.

I loved this story. There is a connection that Hannah has with her mom that is relatable and you can feel the chemistry coming off the pages for Cherry and Dom. The ending is so heart melting and again refreshing. It had several first for me in romancelandia that I hadn’t seen in other books. Especially the ending. It just left my heart all warm and giddy.

I was surprised by how cute this one was. I really liked that both Hannah and Chase had a crush on each other and both took advantage of the roommate situation to hope for more. It was great to see Chase give Hannah free reign in the house to make it look better. I hated how Chase only heard half of a conversation and almost ruined things, the good to come out of it was that it forced them to talk about hard things in their lives, which brought them closer. Once that obstacle was over, thing were smooth for them, they revealed in spending time together and building something real and strong. It sucked that one person just wouldn't let them be happy, but they got theirs in the end.

I loved the ending, loved seeing this couple happy and embracing their future on their own terms.

I love all the couples in this series. Chase and Hannah had me feeling all the sweetness they were projecting to, with, and about each other. Their only little hiccup was Hannah's previous partner, Dan.
Dom and Cherry - what a treat! They stole the show. I want more of them!

Love going back to the Maxx world! Chase and Officer Cinnamon become roommates. A little bit of spice a lot of sweet you really connect with Chase and his journey on being a better guy, doing something for himself and his future. I love that the gang is all back and its all about family and it has nothing to so with being blood related.

Another great book from Ms. Moreland! I’m on a quest to go through all of her backlist, and so far I am having a blast. As per her signature writing style, she always wrote a fluffy, feel-good, and sweet love story. And this is not an exception, I am in love with Chase and Hannah! Chase has been pining for Hannah since the first time he was arrested, but he’s such a gentleman and he took his time to be friends first. I love that he’s such a gold retriever for her, he bought the house so she can move in, possibly forever, LOL. The slow burn is perfect to keep me wanting more but not dragged unnecessarily. By the time they give up to their attraction, it’s just full fluff ahead with little angst from Officer Dickhead, but there’s no third-act breakup!

𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
John Lane is a staple on Melanie’s audiobook, and I love him in every book! He did such a good job in portraying Chase’s vulnerability and emotion, I always enjoyed his voice. Maxine is new to me, and she did well, I notice a faint accent from her. and it just adds to the character. A great narration to a lovely story, highly recommended!

Chase and Hannah stole my heart! Under the Radar by Melanie Moreland started with a sweet note when two people with sizzling hot but unexplored chemistry becomes roommate to friends to lovers..and then the author hit the angst button and delivered all the raw feels. Chase and Hannah fit each other perfectly. I always love to see broken hearts getting healed together and finding their happily ever after and Under the Radar was exactly that kind of inspiring and heartwarming story.

Chase is trying hard to create a new life, out of his dead criminal brother’s shadow and leave behind his own past. And working with Maxx and his crew in the garage is everything to him. When officer Hannah Gallagher responds to his roommate ad, he takes it as a golden opportunity to get the woman he always wanted. Hannah has a secret crush on him too. But will Chase's past come crashing down this new life?

Maxx and his crew have their own stories but you don't need to read them before you read Under The Radar. Chase is such a good guy. His brother dragged him down to a bad road and he is still doing his penance. Maxx and the crew have accepted him a part of their big family and he is very happy with them. He never had a complete loving family and this found family is everything to him. He is hard working, loyalty and a total charmer. He has his vulnerability that makes him so real. He can be bossy and possessive too but for me, he was a sweetheart. It was heartbreaking to see his past being used against him but he dealt with it boldly and of course, Hannah was there to support him at every hard step. She is a sweet and sassy character. She is a cop but she still holds a lot of sweetness and compassion inside. Her own trauma while on duty still shakes her from inside and Chase's solid warm presence helped her to get her pieces together. They were so adorable together that my heart couldn't take it. The way they worked on the house to make it home, the way they opened up little spaces for each other in their respective lives, the cozy dates...it was the perfect build up. And the chemistry was hot as h3ll. The heartbreak gave a nice contrast but it wasn't too much. Chase has an excellent support system and they rallied for him and for Hannah. I always love the bromance in Melanie Moreland's books!

PS I NEED DOM AND CHERRY'S BOOK NEXT!

I have to say this first. I have read every book in this series and I absolutely love this family by choice. They support one another in a way that family should. Now on to my review.
Chase is a victim of his biological family. Not in the way that some might think but in a way that follows him everywhere in his life. His brother was the worst kind and almost pulled Chase along for the ride. But the last name of Donner still makes everyone in town cringe. Chase has kept his business clean and has been working to prove his worth. He doesn't make waves and stays under the radar of law enforcement. Until one night when his family comes back to haunt him and he chases them away at the bar. A very drunk Chase stumbles to his car and is stopped by an officer he immediately gives a nickname of affection to. Officer Cinnamon becomes his reason to blush.
Hannah is starting her life again. Her past drives her to something better, something beyond her nightmares. This quiet town might be her place. And her place might just be with the man who put a smile on her face by calling her officer cinnamon. Moving in together seems like a perfect solution and a terrible one all at the same time.
I loved these two. Dancing around each other was amazing to watch. The teasing Chase has to deal with at work was awesome. The slow burn of their embarrassment in making the first move was remarkable. Chase has a lot he must overcome in his own mind but he never gives up on his Cinnamon. Hannah has more than anyone should have to bare but she does with the support of Chase and in turn the rest of his family.

Chase and “Occifer Cinnamon” are finally here! And what a meet-cute. Chase was having a terrible day, one of the worst of his life, and he drowned his sorrows with too much imbibing. But our boy is smart enough to not drive under the influence and was sleeping it off in his truck, which is where Officer Gallagher sees him. Even in his inebriated state, he's nothing but charming and adorable, which is why Hannah Gallagher jumps at the chance to be his roommate when she sees his ad.

Chase had a less-than-illustrious beginning, ending up in jail after running with his too-wild brother. But after losing everything, doing his time, and making restitution, he's been embraced as family by the guys and gals of Reynolds Restoration. But a cop and a convict, how does that even work? In this book world, it works especially well, until trouble shows up.

Chase seemed very young in the previous books, but our boy sure has grown up nicely. He and Hannah are both authentic and vulnerable, and so freaking sweet together. I love the found family aspect of this series. Hannah is welcomed as one of the family, and everyone has her and Chase's back when problems arise. If you like an emotional romance with eternally endearing characters, a little steam, and tons of heart, you'll absolutely love Chase and Hannah's story!

This is the highly anticipated fourth installment in the Reynolds Restoration series, and it totally lived up to the hype! From the moment I started reading, I was completely invested in Chase and Hannah's story. Their chemistry was off the charts, and their slow-burn romance had me cheering for them all along. I loved how Chase turned his life around and found a new family with his co-workers. Hannah was a relatable and strong character, overcoming her own past traumas. The theme of family was beautifully portrayed throughout the book, filling my heart with warmth. Under the Radar is a heartwarming and addictive romance with a touch of suspense. I couldn't put it down! And I'm already crossing my fingers for a spin-off featuring Dom, Chase's intriguing co-worker. This book left me craving for more!

Under the Radar is a companion novel in the Reynolds Restoration series. These books can be read as standalones, but have interconnected characters. This story follows Chase and Hannah. Chase has a reputation that has followed him his whole life. He paid for his mistakes and has decided to make changes to be the person he knows he can be. He has found a new set of friends he calls family and is searching for a roommate to move in when his friend moved out. He did not expect the woman he has been crushing on to answer the ad. Hannah is a cop and has been searching for a new living situation. She shows up on Chase's doorstep with the ad in hand. Chase immediately accepts her as a roommate, but now he finds himself wanting to be more than roommates, how long can he keep these feelings under wraps.

This was a quick and easy read. Chase has some demons, but so does Hannah. Both are pretty open communicators and I liked how they didn't get mad at each other for things beyond the others control. Chase is clearly smitten with Hannah and I loved that, it was definitely a case of "he falls first" and he fell hard. Hannah was a strong female character that has been through a lot. She is on her own journey and when they give into the feelings they have (rather than skirting around each other) the sparks fly.

I loved the found family aspect in this book and thought that the friends that Chase has not only loved him, but took Hannah under their wing. They were truly there for each other and I thought that was wonderful. I loved that this book didn't have a third act break-up and these were two people that truly communicated.

I thought this was a great book and I want to go back and read the other story's of the other people we met in the book! Thank you to Grey's Promotions for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ex-con and reformed bad boy Chase gets his chance at love with Officer Cinnamon aka Hannah in this, the fourth book in Melanie Moreland’s Reynold Restoration series. The pair's relationship begins to grow when Chase’s hunt for a new roommate leads Hannah to his door.

Hannah’s in need of a new place to live, and seeing Chase’s ‘roommate wanted’ advert has her showing up on his doorstep. As well as becoming roommates their friendship grows, soon blossoming into something more.

Turns out this former bad boy and officer of the law were exactly who one another needed, they brought out the best in each other, so loving and cute together.

This book was an emotional read, great storyline, however not as much spice as I’m used to, but very well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
